>"BE MORE MARVELOUS!" — Marvel's motto for this year
>The (not final) cover to Amazing Spider-Man #25 is revealed, with the wrong release month (should be July)
>The name of the upcoming Cates/Stegman event miniseries is ABSOLUTE CARNAGE
>The Marvel variant cover theme for July 2019 will be "CARNAGE-ized", across over 25 titles
>New original MARVELS sequel one-shot by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross coming later this year
>"The History Of The Marvel Universe" six-issue miniseries from writer Mark Waid and artist Javier Rodriguez with regular covers by Steve McNiven and at least a variant from Rodriguez — out this summer

Oh boy, the real test of Ewing's Hulk book, having to do an event tie-in comic.
He did well with CW2, so let's see how this goes.
Okay Ewing, let's see what you are up to this time.
It's just a variant cover.
It's just a variant. Immortal Hulk will stay away from all these events, thankfully.
Ewing is going to do "Secret Warps", a miniseries focused on the Infinity Warps . I'm not excited at all about it, and I'm saying it as a fan of his. In all fairness, Iron Hammer was probably the best out of the bunch and it was because of his continuity boner, but continuing that is just boring. Give him a proper event, Marvel!
Nevermind about this, just saw this . The madman warped the Squadron Supreme with New Universe characters, oh wow. Check out Hyperion/Starbrand, Justice/Spectrum and Wizzer/Jessup! Okay well, I guess he can find a way to spin his crazy shit into this too.
>more Infinity warps
I knew it was gonna happen, but why and who wanted this?
FINALLY
This thing with Javier Rodriguez is probably the thing he was drawing a while ago, which included the Progenitors Al Ewing and him created for Royals.

Can't really think of another use for them at the moment. Also yeah, I'm excited to read about this, it's about time.
>everyone is carnage event
HOUSE OF IDEAS
More one shots for Ewing
When will he get another ongoing?
I wish they gave him something meatier than this, but I think he just likes to play with obscure stuff instead, what with merging New Universe and Squadron Supreme. It was probably his own call.
>New Universe + Squadron Supreme
OK, that's pretty good.
>absolute carnage
Good description of Marvel's state.
I've just recently gotten into Capeshit comics and I already just want them all to die. At least I didn't waste 10+ years with this dumpster fire.
What's the issue though? I just ignore events I'm not interested in
Yeah, same. I've been ignoring Age of X, there's a chance I might ignore all of War of the Realms too (aside from a few minis), and so far I don't think I've missed anything.
And this looks like it will be self-contained anyway, though Cates has sway on Marvel now so I suspect some of his changes will stick, my only concern with this mini event thing.
If I was a girl I'd let Nick Spencer get me pregnant to make more Nick Spencers desu
because the art sucks and comics don´t even feel like classic comcis anymore
Comics used to be famous for having sexy chick in reveling outfits for example but nowadays they all look ugly and have completely covered up outfits.
>comics don´t even feel like classic comcis anymore
I'm with you on that.
>Comics used to be famous for having sexy chick in reveling outfits for example but nowadays they all look ugly and have completely covered up outfits.
Oh right, you're one of those. I forgot they stopped making these in 2019.
>Javier Rodriguez
Sold. Multiple copies.
>somebody else in this board likes him
Wasn't expecting to see the day.
When's Carol news?
Nothing announced yet. Only these four things:
>Kurt Busiek & Alex Ross' Marvels
>Donny Cates' Carnage event
>Al Ewing's Infinity Warps series
>Mark Waid's History of the Marvel Universe
I'm kinda shocked Mark Waid is still getting work from Marvel when he's involved in a lawsuit. Especially one that could go second round litigation against Marvel itself.
And the new Carnage event just confirms we are back to 90's level excess and shit. (just this time, most books can barely break 20k)
They’ll announce her next relaunch and new creative team soon enough.
It's possible it has been done and in the can for a bit and Marvel is only now getting around to releasing it.
A few of the guides/histories of the Marvel universe have done the same thing.
>"CARNAGE-ized"
Yikes
>I'm kinda shocked Mark Waid is still getting work from Marvel when he's involved in a lawsuit.
What does that have to do wi--
>Especially one that could go second round litigation against Marvel itself.
lmao you actually think Meyer's lawsuit is going to succeed? That's hilarious.
Also clearly you're not aware he's been writing Doctor Strange and Avengers for a good while, and it's not looking like he's going to stop.
>Iron Hammer was probably the best out of the bunch
It might be controversial to say, but I think Hopeless (yes, THAT Hopeless) did the best job with Arach-Knight.
>ignore events
Very hard to do when there are so many tie-ins.
I read only the first issue of that one, but I have to admit I liked it. (same guy you replied to btw). I just didn't count it because I'm not too keen on Moon Knight to know whether he was properly characterized.
Do people actually buy variants like these for completely unrelated issues?
Surprisingly, there are.
>Nemesis makes an appearance
Holy shit, that something i thought impossible.
Okay yes I'm definitely grabbing this. I already love what I'm seeing.
And it's right on time for the upcoming release of the Handbook of the Marvel Universe Omnibus, later in November. It's gonna be interesting.
You don't actually read any comics if you "ignore events". That's not possible.
Who are the Infinity Warped Squadron Supreme mashed up with? New Universe characters?
Love they're letting Waid go full continuity nerd
>marvel thread
>posts dynamite dyke-bait
What did he mean by this?
You think it won't? That's hilarious.
It's hard to when they interrupt ties that you read. I mean next month the only titles that won't crosover with the whole War of the Realms event are probably Black Panther, Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy maybe or ot two more titmes give or take but everything else is crossing over with that event.
Ewing fucking fixed the Mandarin in Iron Hammer I'm super hyped for Secret Warps
Yep, it's all New Universe. The ones I was able to identify were James Tensen (Justice), Tyrone Jessup, Nightmask, Spitfire (maybe?), Mastodon and Kenneth Connell (Starbrand). Also it's Ewing, not Waid.
He never said "Marvel", he said
>"I 'MEMBER WHEN COMICS USED TO GET MUH PEEPEE HARD"
so there's one that still has skimpy outfits.
Meyer's reputation is hinging on this, so I can see why one of his drones would think that shit has any chance of succeeding. That's OK though.
>The Sphinx
Oh hey I haven't seen this guy in awhile.
I was talking about Waid getting to do a History of the Marvel Universe.
Whether or not the suit has merit, it's not like employing Waid will get Marvel in more trouble. His name sells.
And Disney lawyers would incinerate Meyer if he even tried it.
Oh yeah duh. I'm also looking forward to it, it really looks interesting.
They wouldn't keep doing them this long if people weren't buying them.
I got one once years ago for PAD's X-Factor. LCS owner does that for regulars on books they get to be nice, but honestly I didn't want an X-Factor cover with Iron Man on it.
>BE MORE MARVELOUS
Thanks, I hate it!
>It's another Carnage spreads itself and takes everyone over event
Didn't we already do this?
Those 10+ wouldn't really be a waste if you genuinely enjoyed the good times. That's how I feel in hindsight. But I guess it just makes the current state of comics feel even more painful, because I have that 10+ (more like 20+) year of context.
apocalypse vs sphinx when?
>I've just recently gotten into Capeshit comics
>because the art sucks and comics don´t even feel like classic comcis anymore
>Comics used to be famous for having sexy chick in reveling outfits for example
You sound like a fake.
>how do you do, fellow comic book readers!
Cringe
Are you OK my dude?
Waid is fucked on the lawsuit, 100% fucked, as Marvel refused to pay his legal defense and is only continuing to employ him out of pity at this point, since Waids name is pure sales poison at this point
And Marvel will definitely settle the moment Waid ends up inadvertedly icriminates the sand nigger and fat fuck Brevoort for shit like using corporate funds to pay cyber bullies like Renfamous to terrorize/harass Marvel critics like Richard.
This is your brain on Twitter outragefaggotry, Yea Forums.
Next up he's going to link to boundingintocomics or cosmicbooknews "proving" his points. Or better yet, he's gonna hit me with
>NOT AN ARGUMENT
Just watch.
>using corporate funds to pay cyber bullies like Renfamous to terrorize/harass Marvel critics
wut
Ohh man, can't wait to see the modern pages with you know, great characters like America, Carol, Riri, Kate Bishop, etc
Yeah, from what I can tell, it's:
>Hyperion + Starbrand
>Nighthawk + Nightmask
>Dr. Spectrum + Justice
>Blue Eagle + Spitfire
>Whizzer + Blur
>Amphibian + Mastodon
I'm not sure who bottom right is though. Zarda for the Squadron Supreme side, but I'm not sure which New Universe character she's merged with.
Yes but when is the [insert obscure character here] announcement
>I've just recently gotten into Capeshit comics
no that was another guy.
my first spider-man comic I bought was ultimate spider-man and then the amazing spider-man run shortly before civil war
Either Kathy Ling (since she looks Asian) or Glitter.
I almost bought Royals and Exiles just for his art. Almost.
... I actually liked most of it. But I'm partial towards the Inhumans in first place, so there's that.
Read anything published before 1990. It's where the masterworks are.
Mysterio and the new Electro are in the Centipede Man story? Could he be Max Dillon?
Is it christmas already?
can't wait for Histor of the MU.
Just remember this is History of MU 616-8, so they'll use it to fix a few continuity issues I guess
>I’ve just recently got into capeshit
>things aren’t like the old days
This is some really bad b8
