Disney TVA intern here. Here's random Amphibia details:

>Follows same episode layout as Star Vs/Gravity Falls. Mostly episodic with a couple of moments that add to continuity.
>Episodes deal with Anne learning and adjusting to frog culture (Like eating giant bugs for food) and trying to find out what happened to her friends.
>Anne's skills involve being great at badminton, a fantasy genre dork, and can do a million things with her phone because of all the apps (Sprig makes a joke that her phone is Earth magic)
>Villain is a Toad King wizard who wants to travel to Earth's dimension and take it over. He has a magic scepter he uses to turn creatures into full-blown monsters.
>Toad King has captured Anne's friends and found out his magic doesn't work on humans. He spends the series experimenting on them to get his magic to work, that way he can be ready when he goes to Earth.
>Other random episodes include Sprig using his Grandfather's magic book to win the "Hop Skip and Away" race only to find out he can't stop hopping; Sprig's little sister getting swept away after falling into a rushing river; Anne trying to hide from the family a giant pet ladybug that spits acid; An annual flood that submerges the town and makes it difficult for Anne to live there until the water level drops; Anne getting shrunk and being extremely tiny in a world where everything is already gigantic.
>Expect frog/toad/bug puns. "Frog-get about it" "It's raining cats and frogs!" "We'll just hop in and out and be back in no time!" "He was evil ever since he was just a toaddler." "Hey, quit bugging me! (To a giant bug)"
>First episode has a reverse Frogger joke where Anne is trying to cross a busy street
>Season finale ends on a cliffhanger with Toad King trying to take over Amphibia and get Grandpa's magic book. Anne does not get home or save her friends.

There you go. Something to get you hyped, since Disney's not gonna reveal any details about the show until early June.

I’ll go ahead and take this with a grain of salt, user.

>""leaking"" something no one cares about

This. It took OP nearly 30 minutes to get a response. I'm not sure if the dude realizes that Yea Forums isn't all that excited for Amphibia just yet. Most anons just wanna keep giggling over made-up rumors regarding The Owl House's production.

Attached: Anne's wardrobe is kinda weird.jpg (723x807, 87K)

Fuck it, Ill bite. Is the show any good?

>blah blah blah

How much porn potential?

well i'll certainly remember the thread when we do start getting info, even if it's possibly bunk, weirder shit has happened desu.

It's not out yet.

Are the spirg and the girl shipped By the crew.

This feels so uninteresting honestly. Reading all that I don't really feel anything that grasps me. Seems like it's trying to hit all the DEEPEST LORE shit that's popular with some cartoons but there's not alot to really help pull you in.

I don't buy it, but until Disney actually starts advertising it,

What are the names of Anne's two "friends?"

What's the name of Sprig's sister?

What's the name of Anne's school?

What are some episode titles? Even just the first episode?

What do the end credits look like?

Who are some of the voice actors?

Who's composing the music for the show?

Attached: Sprig ponders.jpg (800x599, 73K)

Sounds terrible, this feels more like a warning than hypebait

>What are the names of Anne's two "friends?"
Amy Lee (Black hair) and Charlene (Blonde hair)

>What's the name of Sprig's sister?
Polé, short for tadpole.

>What's the name of Anne's school?
Sir John's Mundane School. Used to be Saint John's, but Disney said no.

>What are some episode titles? Even just the first episode?
Episode One: "Unfrogettable"

>What do the end credits look like?
Different frog characters + Anne are hopping from bottom of the screen to the middle, then falling back off-screen.

>Who's composing the music for the show?
I have no idea, any credit info for things like audio or animator-based work is hard to find on the servers, there aren't dedicated locations for just credits. That info is usually on inaccessible producer and production manager excel sheets or buried deep in documents folders.

>Who are some of the voice actors?
A couple I got were:
Kyla Kowalewski is Polé
David Kaye as Toad King
Eric Bauza as a bunch of one-off shopkeeper and whatever characters.

Big if true

>leaks
>2019

Attached: here we go.jpg (294x294, 23K)

Looking forward to the porn. There probably won't be much and it'll mostly be low quality, but there will definitely be a few diamonds in the rough that makes it worth it.

Nice "leak" faggot.

>Episodes deal with Anne learning and adjusting to frog culture (Like eating giant bugs for food) and trying to find out what happened to her friends.
Literally in the trailer.
>Anne's skills involve being great at badminton, a fantasy genre dork, and can do a million things with her phone because of all the apps (Sprig makes a joke that her phone is Earth magic)
Those are just things that are in the picture you posted.
>Expect frog/toad/bug puns. "Frog-get about it" "It's raining cats and frogs!" "We'll just hop in and out and be back in no time!" "He was evil ever since he was just a toaddler." "Hey, quit bugging me! (To a giant bug)"
That's obvious but also really fucking bad writing and you should be ashamed if true.
>Season finale ends on a cliffhanger with Toad King trying to take over Amphibia and get Grandpa's magic book. Anne does not get home or save her friends.
What's that you say, the story doesn't get resolved in a single season and they purposely leave it on a cliffhanger to guarantee season 2 ratings? THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE.

In conclusion get bent you worthless LARPer.

What’s Matt Braly like as a boss?

Whose the best board artist?

What’s it like interning?

Who are the three cool staff people and who are the three shit staff people? What's the reasoning behind it?

porn fags like you are what makes this board shittier than it already is

>same layout as Star Vs/Gravity Falls
Fuck, I liked this at first but for god's sake can we get something different?? ugh, I hope this isn't true.

What's an easter egg we should be looking out for in the series?

Is it funny? Like subtle humor, grossout or slapstick?

Do they go in depth about different frog types (colored one being poison)?

Do you foresee characters getting shipped?

Is Pole worst girl?

The only good things about this board are the porn and the story time threads.

None of this is true. Why would you fake leaks like this if you're not even going to make up ridiculous rumours about the crew like others did with Owl House?

>Kyla Rae Kowalewski is STILL doing baby sister voices
Fucking HOW?

And as for this info dump, thanks. We’ll just have to wait and see in a few months to know whether you’re full of shit or not. Maybe sharing a never-before-seen model sheet or background design could help your case...

>Eric Bauza

He pretty much is the Male Tara Strong isn't he?

ok, but how much cum can she store?

The difference here is that Eric Bauza’s got a much wider range. I can’t fucking wait to hear him on the upcoming Looney Tunes Cartoons.

I don't know considering she doesnt even try to sound young with Anais anymore. Also how shameful of a season it has to be when people defend it saying its good "on its own merits"

Ain't that Tom Kenny?

>remember that disney once sacked someone accidently leaking shit about big city greens

Someone on Twitter or someone on Yea Forums?

Because I figured BCG would've been so unpopular on Yea Forums, no one would have noticed.

You guys have to remember:

1) OP is probably making everything up.

2) Even if it’s all true, the execution could be what makes or breaks this show. I’m sure there have been plenty of shows or movies in the past that didn’t have the deepest or cleverest lore, but whose pacing, buildup, and characters made up for it.

Regardless of how cool or lame you think the overarching story is, the show still seems like it’ll be fun: youtube.com/watch?v=yn6x33rJYCk

Let's make stuff up together, user.

>Fly on the wall board artist here.
>Apparently, Matt Braly got the idea for Amphibia when he found a frog in his backyard and fucked it to death.

It was on Reddit, actually.

>Obligatory "this happened several months ago."

>For the past 20 years, basically right out of college, I worked in closed captioning and subtitling. This involves transcribing television programs and movies and timing the transcription to sync to the video. It's a lot of typing and even more watching a bizarrely varied amount of TV and film.

>I worked for several companies around the country. What started as a "just for now" job grew into a career, I became production director in a few organizations, and I became one of the fastest captioners in the country. When my company in New York City shut down, I found myself in possession of a very expensive piece of captioning software and a fair amount of clients, so I began working freelance.

>The clients began to dwindle as more and more work started going overseas, but I was working steadily based on one Huge Client that had robust Netflix, HBO, and Hulu contracts, and the rates they paid were ridiculously large. If you ever watched Chicago PD or Ray Donovan with the subtitles turned on, that was me.

>For the first time in my life, I was able to put money away for retirement, travel to Europe, go out to eat without checking my balance, never worry about the bank account running dry, all while working maybe 4 hours a day out of my bedroom walk-in closet. It was a magnificent few years.

Attached: Homestar Runner.png (640x386, 218K)

>One day, I am captioning a Disney Channel cartoon that I had never seen before, and in one scene, a child is hanging his doodles in an art gallery. One of the doodles is of Trogdor the Burninator of Homestar Runner fame. "He lives on!" I think, and then, being a hopeless reddit addict, I post a screenshot to the Homestar sub and forget all about it.

>Fast forward three months when I get an email from Huge Client investigating a "very serious matter" in which a screenshot of a cartoon had been posted to reddit. Turns out, the cartoon had never aired before. Turns out, Disney was pissed. Turns out, the list of suspects that had access to the video was very short.

>I took immediate responsibility and profusely apologized, but the damage had been done. I had boneheadedly violated every nondisclosure and employee contract I'd signed with them by posting that single screenshot, and they terminated all future dealings with me, voided the $6,000 in invoices I had outstanding, and stated in very polite terms that I was lucky Disney wasn't suing my pasty white ass.

>After the fallout settled, I had no steady income. A few commercials and YouTube broadcasts that needed subtitles, but nothing reliable, and NYC rent drains bank accounts quickly. I reached out to every other captioning outfit in the country, but no luck. So, that left me at 40 with a staggeringly narrow and largely obsolete skill set forced to start over from square one. I am currently working for the Postal Service doing blue-collar work in 90-degree heat and mourning the days when watching TV in my jammies till 3 PM was my job.

>All gone because of a reddit post of a forgettable cartoon that only got a measly 150 updoots.

>TLDR: I violated the terms of an absurdly kushy job by posting to reddit, and now I deliver packages.

Attached: Unfortunate, ain't it.jpg (2208x1242, 189K)

Welp, suprise ruined.

What a fucking idiot, Jesus.
I've worked on several shows for DTVA and I know for a fact OP is lying. I enjoy reading the speculation here but I'm not going to share thing, even if the chance of implicating myself is tiny. It's not worth it.

*crying-laughing emoji* DTVA only has summer interns

>Posting the screenshot in a way that could be traced back to him

That's why you Deadpool it and leak it "anonymously". That way, even if there's only a list of three suspects, you either have to fire all three or keep all three on staff because there's no concrete evidence of who did it.

...its march

That's Spring though.

I think that's user's point. OP can't be an intern because Disney TV only has interns during summer months.

Thanks Einstein. DTVA only hires interns in the summer. You're right. It is March. Summer does not begin in March. OP is not a DTVA intern and is ob lying

How do you fuck up this bad at 40? I could understand if it was some early 20s dude who was so over eager he forgot what he even understood of a nondisclosure agreement, but at 40 you should be more level headed and calm about things. Especially if you've been doing it for awhile (unlike a 20s dude)

I wish someone would just leak some shit on Close Enough and not these other shows that at least are gonna fucking air episodes some day. No one is fucking talking about it and the creator has been dead silent on it since he shared the trailer. Behind the scenes instagram drawings? Not even.

Attached: Bridgette.png (1024x1024, 1.14M)

I want to believe you OP but people always post bullshit here.

There’s only a handful of shows still airing that do this

So, think this is going to be another Billy Dilly where Disney blows the whole wad in like 2 weeks then never airs it again?

Doubt it. Amphibia and The Owl House are sister shows, and Disney will likely be promoting them as a package deal (especially at Comic-Con) since they're supposed to take over for Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil.

Holy hell, why can't Dana control her crew to not release shit?

>The show is actually releasing in 2020, I'm just saying 2019 because rofl

HAHAHAHA the delay rumors were true! Also what the fuck does she expect when she sends out so many tests for her show that the guild contemplated on making a legal requirement?

JG wants us to suffer

>>the best hint we currently have for Close Enough's estimated release date comes from a crew member's Instagram bio
Isn't that way past due? and a guess at that? Someone asked a crew member and they have no idea when the series is coming. It's bizarre that the entire year of 2018 had nothing.

Christ, I'm tiered of hearing "kinda like the Gravity Falls theme" for all these new shows.

I mean it’s quite likely that the show will get released late 2019 via streaming services (like the first maybe a 2-parter), and then air 2020.
Disney’s streaming service seems leek a plausible explanation for the “confusing” date. Or not, I dunno.

That’s 100% likely to be the case. With gravity falls Disney played the first episode and called it a “sneak preview” and then a month later played the first two back to back and called it the “premiere.” So it’s likely a similar with Owl House but straddling the year divide line. Either that, or it’s some giant conspiracy involving lesbians, SJWs, pizzagate, and Leslie Jones. But probably what user said

>be showrunner
have your airing dates be at the random whims of idiot 53-year old marketing team execs who you can’t control
>every time they move a date, anons build elaborate conspiracies about you, instead of swatting the asshole programming executives

Feels bad man

It doesn't help that she's done enough retarded things that the blatantly untrue theories have some basis for it to even build off of in the first place. Every time I see someone sympathize with Dana its hilarious. It's like feeling bad for Rebecca Sugar, except she controlled her crew members at the start and only got looser after a short bit into production. We haven't even seen Dana's show and we already know there's been some incompetence behind the scenes seemingly stemming from her quickly jumping into the showrunner position. All those tests ended up making it a fucking problem that the AG noticed.

Why is it that Matt can keep his production in check, but Dana seems to be tripping up here and there?

Is she overthinking it, or is it the lack of experience?

>quickly jumping into showrunner position

Dana boarded on Gravity Falls & Tangled, and directed on Ducktales before she made Owl House. That means that she had more experience in animation than Pen Ward, Matt Groening, Jhonan Vasquez, Alex Hirsch, JG Quintel, or Daren Nefcy did when they started showrunning their shows for the first time.

Re: “incompetence behind the scenes” there’s literally nothing that isn’t normal for every animated show. A small prop leak. Shifting schedule strategies by the network. The same as every kids show in TV

In other words, you’re just making up things to be mad about

Probably, much like Sugar, Dana made it a point to reach out to indie artists or find talent online and these people have never had an industry gig before and probably got way too excited about getting Disney tests.

Yes yes you keep saying this in her threads but I literally defined the difference in position. Stop doing this "trying to be mad" thing and overreacting to what I said as if I want the board to hate Dana or something. Christ.

But user we like being mad

>me overreacting
You’re the one whose making up conspiracies based on nothing. I love show drama as much as anyone, but I prefer when it’s real. This fake shit is boring

It should be expected user, OP is literally “my uncle works at Nintendo” Everything in here is going to be a fanfic about showrunners

>making up conspiracies
I was fucking saying other people did, can you not read?

>Making up conspiracies
Bunch of leaked tests are not conspiracies though.

This is just the fucking Gravity Falls theme song what the fuck. I don't believe this is real. Or is it intentional and Dana's cartoon matches up with her boyfriend's show and there is gonna be a shitty crossover?

>we already know there's been some incompetence behind the scenes seemingly stemming from her quickly jumping into the showrunner position. All those tests ended up making it a fucking problem that the AG noticed.

All of that is made up. Hence, conspiracy. Can you read?

If that is the team, I just straight up bail on it. That's just Gravity Falls' theme, remixed.

Attached: 1540321516772.jpg (500x375, 57K)

I was referring to that "so many tests they were thinking of making a legal limit" conspiracy. Why are you acting like you know what I am saying better than I do and that I'm wrong in trying to explain it? Yea Forums is so fucking brain dead

It’s apparently a rejected theme. Makes sense that she rejected it

For the first 7 seconds I thought it literally was. Then the backing track too behind the.... piano? I'm not good at identifying instruments, the main loudest beat, behind that.

>Amphibia thread turns into Owl House thread

COME FUCKING ON. EVERY TIME.

OP bailed, and Dana had another leak, with something to actually discuss. Some people here may shit on her, but she's inadvertently making Owl House very popular.

>with something to actually discuss.
A rejected theme song isn't something to discuss, especially when Amphibia actually has it's intro available to view online.

here's a rejected gravity falls theme:
youtube.com/watch?v=uo7anKBcAdo

I hate it when we have a CE thread and that one fucking autist starts up infinity train and owl house threads, even amphibia shows up. Leave your girl led shows to their own many threads. It's not like we're hurting for them.

Rejected theme. Yawn. Post when we have real content.

>its not real
retard, use your words

It's not "official", autismo.

I immediately lost interest when they tried to use "THE FIRST EVER THAI AMERICAN CARTOON PROTAGONIST" to advertise the show on like the first day it was announced. Can't believe they had to pull that one out so early, I feel like I'm just setting myself up for disappointment if I continue to get excited about this show.

I can't get excited for any magical girl show. Of course I use that loosely since she doesnt seem to have powers.

What makes you think Matt can keep his production in check and Dana can't? Amphibia's production started much earlier than Owl House's.

>can do a million things with her phone because of all the apps
Whenever a phone is used for something that isn't calling or texting it's obnoxious as hell

Sure, but I can't get excited for isekai anymore either. Is there something wrong with a story where the main protagonist is already living in the fantasy world? Why does it always have to be regular people getting thrown into these wacky situations, why can't the wacky situations be the norm? Is it so that the creators have an easier time explaining the rules of the world to the audience?

Crossover episode when?

ok, grandpa.

Package deal, bro:

They're not a packaged deal anymore than it makes sense for Dexter's Lab threads to turn into Johnny Bravo threads.

Considering it is gone now it would make sense! Did anyone save it?

Yet you keep piggy backing your frog and owl shows to BCG threads

>In other words, you’re just making up things to be mad about
yep, sounds like Yea Forums in a nutshell. Memes, waifu-faggotry, and outrage culture.

There's no sense of newness to share with the reader/audience. The protag is already intimate with the world and unless evil has taken over there's no story to tell. The only way to make things interesting would be to invite someone else unfamiliar to this world, give the protag amnesia, make the protag travel to unfamiliar territory, or have evil/plot reshape everything. Isekai option allows for maximum flexibility and non-adventure/slice-of-life storylines that "can use" but isn't restricted to the above options. It's just better, when everything's new and exciting there's a constant hype, allure, and beauty in everything.

>creators have an easier time explaining the rules of the world to the audience?
Exactly. Not everything should strive to be Adventure Time where lol-so-random can replace proper world-building.

Anybody have a backup or a copy or whatever?

Thread is dying but here's Amphibia art anyway.

Very cute style

Everyone keeps forgetting that we knew about Amphibia a good number of months before it was officially announced by Disney

Attached: 221E45C5-01BD-4103-BF6B-D2F1C7B5959B.jpg (878x710, 105K)

Also considering the theme song is illegally recorded and not officially released yet.

This confuses the hell out of me, why didnt disney release the theme?

When did that happened?

It's the SDCC recording. It's not officially released for public by Disney and was recorded by someone with their phone.

First off, Disney never officially advertised the show as having a groundbreaking lead character because she's Thai; that was Matt and Matt only.

Second, Matt Braly's got every right to boast about this. There really aren't that many Thai characters in mainstream television, and even fewer Thai protagonists. Those of you who choose to bitch and moan about main characters who are girls or PoC look pathetic and insecure. It really doesn't hurt you, and it's actually a breath of fresh air from the usual default.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're one of those guys who dismisses Into the Spider-Verse because you're mad that Peter Parker wasn't the star of the show, despite him still playing a major role throughout the film.

Attached: You gotta make your own dreams reality.png (540x169, 45K)

>I almost never got to see myself on screen
>Proceeds to make the character a girl, of which he is not

What did he mean by this?

animationmagazine.net/people/rising-stars-of-animation-2019/

>Braly says he was inspired by the work of two of his animation idols, Nick Park and Hayao Miyazaki. “When brainstorming ideas for my own project, I knew I wanted to accomplish something similar to the Pacifica Northwest character in Gravity Falls. I wanted to create a story/character that was about change and growth. I also mined by own life and experiences to create a character and world as genuine as possible. For example, Anne’s Thai heritage is directly inspired by my own background.”
Not every cartoon stars the creator's exact self-insert, user. Remember that.

Why does Amphibia not get as much bizarre funposting and drawfags as the owl house?

>funposting and drawfags
You mean the shit with Dana's avatar? Forget it. Let's keep these Amphibia threads nice and comfy

Attached: Polé a cute.png (1145x620, 1.01M)

I don't think it has much porn potential unless it's Yuri between Anne and her Friends or something, given that we already know the world is almost completely frog exclusive, making it too niche. Maybe Long Tongue stuff? That'd make gangbangs that look like your typical hentai. If the experiments on girls thing is true, that might make for some nice scenarios. Otherwise, i'd sa Owl House has a bigger chance really.

You've got to come up with juicier shit than

I’m still not sure whether changing her design from a torn-open shoe to a sock was a good idea or not

Calling it now, the missing shoe is part of the lore/story. Maybe one of her friends finds it or something and thinks she’s dead.

She looks like she just fell off a cliff and almost died or something. We've seen exactly that in Over the Garden Wall, where characters also wore really odd outfits.

Besides kid brother and sister working together, what the fuck does WthW resemble with GF?? I ask this as a fan of both and gotta say they barely have anything in common.

It's the Yea Forums version of "every hard game is dark souls".

How did Braly get away with it?

>the leaves/twigs in her hair, the SJMS crest on her shirt, and the missing shoe are consistent details of Anne Boonchuy's design
I can't help but question these decisions. Not only are they specific details that'll require extra attention from the designers and overseas animators, but they also imply that despite finding herself on an island inhabited by civilized frogs in clothing of their own, Anne will never once find a pond to wash her hair in or get one of her new frog friends to make her some new clothes/shoes.

Attached: Dt2A8v1UwAA_2eF.jpg (1200x900, 147K)

Well for one, was posted (and later deleted) by John Mangor-Baurley, a technical director who might not even be working on Amphibia specifically. He also shared pic related.

But the Smash Bros. photo was from Matt himself; it’s possible that the series creator gets a little more leeway. Plus, unlike Mangor’s Toad King photo, what Matt shared probably isn’t as big of a deal since (1) they’re just background designs instead of an unrevealed secret character, and (2) said backgrounds are obscure and not that clear to begin with.

except Dana's cintiq punching and temporary dismissal after it isn't just a rumor, you can literally openly ask anyone in the industry who knows

Why did she punch her cintiq?

So why not grab a tweet as a source? Or ask someone yourself and post the screencap?

>I can’t fucking wait to hear him on the upcoming Looney Tunes Cartoons
This. Practically everything about pic related sounds super promising. While I may be one of the few who enjoyed 2011’s The Looney Tunes Show, it does feel great to know that this latest revamping of the franchise is what will finally bring these characters back to life in the public eye.

I am assuming it's because they are insufferably smug liberals, so people want to see them knocked down a peg and make up these silly stories.

I dunno, I think she is pretty adorable. Who wouldn't want to go out into the wilderness and have adventures with this winsome lass?

Attached: main cast.png (1280x720, 983K)

Matt Braly is a very kind and likeable showrunner. Is good friends with Dana. He is also Extremely Online but rarely posts on twitter

Smugness is a weird idea. /pol/ adores Donald Trump, who is the most arrogant and smug man alive. We love that he's smug, its funny. But when Liberals are jokey and confident, we hate it. We call them "elitist." But Donald Trump lives in an actual gold tower. We even like smug fictional characters. (Tony Stark, Deadpool) Cant we just say "we dont like X persons politics" rather than say "smug" when we love it when people on our side are smug.

That's why I said it was because they were smug liberals instead of just smug.

Industryfag here again. Both have a reputation for being very hard working and having very high standards. Other showrunners like Matthew Braly and Daron Nefcy are known for leaving work earlier and delegating more. Just different styles of showrunning. Personally I prefer to work for showrunners like Dana Terrace who have a stronger vision and fight executives harder, but most prefer to work with showrunners like Daron/Rebecca Sugar who let their artists run the show a bit more, since the artists get more control that way. Just different styles for different visions

>Extremely Online

What makes writing for kids TV more difficult than writing for adults in general? My initial assumption is that kids TV follows a more simple writing structure, but I'm not involved in the industry.

You asked for a name, and I gave you one. Don't move the goal posts. There are people more talented than some blue haired bitch clarifying she uses girl pronouns with crappy comics. They exist, in fact, there exists a lot of them looking for work. They're not rare unicorn breeds and Dana could've done a lot better than her.

>It is famously impossible to get good writers in kids TV.
I'd like to point you to the entire staff of writers who worked on Gumball season 1.

I said name someone Dana rejected, not someone who is already employed, brainlet. I guess it's hard to read when you're about to pass out from S E E T H I N G over sjws

You guys don't know how fucking ecstatic I am that Ian Worrel's the art director on Amphibia. He and Jeffrey Thompson really helped make Gravity Falls look more cinematic. I wouldn't be surprised if the backgrounds were a major reason why that show took so long to make two seasons.

Attached: The Forests of Oregon.jpg (1280x549, 230K)

>I said name someone Dana rejected
And there's no way for me to psychically know the rejected applicants. The fact that she picked shitty writers while you're screaming "BECAUSE THERE'S NO ONE BETTER!!" is faulty logic.

Huh except you cant name a better available writer. Weird.

>GOOD WRITERS DON'T EXIST IN ANIMATION
>What about this guy
>NO HE DOESN'T COUNT

He exists. I'm not gonna make a list of people so you can greentext every single one of them and say why I'm not allowed to list them. Here are shows with good writers:
>Gravity Falls
>Early seasons of Star Vs.
>Clarence
>Early seasons of Gumball
>Wander Over Yonder
>Early seasons of Rick & Morty

To say they don't "exist" is absolute faggotry and someone just trying to defend Dana having more people on staff who all care more about representation than actual ability.

>types like a woman
oh, that's why you're shilling for dana so hard.

There's quite a few SJW girls in charge of the show, not just one. And it's a show about a girl being raised by a woman and going to an all girl school. Three guesses how the show is gonna turn out with them at the helm.

At least we'll get plenty of brown loli fanart.

You work at Disney? Is this true about Matt and Daron? That they have less of a vision but give more to their team? Very intersting; I can see how both styles of big pros and cons.

To my knowledge, OP is full of it, or at least mischaracterizing with respect to Matt (I can't speak on Daron) on both points: not working long hours, not having a strong vision for the show.

what troubles me is that randos post shit like this and since they think nobody who actually works for the show or the studio go to this site, or will compromise themselves to 'prove it', they can just say shit like this and repeat big names and nobody will question it. So many people involved in this show in a bigger capacity you guys never name because they aren't twitter celebrities. So much of this is just extrapolation from model sheets, tweets, and whatever made up in the meantime.
You guys will literally make shit up about people just to sound like you're in-the-know, people take it as substantiated rumours and repeat it and now everyone thinks Matt Braly leaves at 4pm lol

I guess there's only one way to find out if you're all bullshitting: what was the big new thing available in the cafeteria on friday at DTVA?

Oh boy, Another show about a young girl pared with a semi anthropomorphic creature going on generic fantasy adventures drawn in a typical calarts style.
Because we've been really lacking in these lately.

>Main protagonist is Thai

This is actually kind of cool. It's kind of nice that Thailand is getting a better spotlight lately in comparison to what they've been getting for the last decade. The only representation for Thailand is the Hangover 2 which is a piss poor representation of what Thailand is.

>Inb4 some moron wants to talk about Thailand's ladyboys or prostitutes. We get it, you only go to Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok. Believe it or not there is vastly more to Thailand that that.

another misha-post for the books, misha-bro!

Do you work there? You seem seething as if you work there.

Hi Matthew Braly

kinda like how Homer can never go freshly shaved for more than a few seconds

I'd like there to be a running gag where every time Anne bathes or cleans herself off the twig and leaves just pop back into place like nothing happened, whether it be a gust of wind, Sprig inadvertently knocking her to the ground or Anne bumping her head on something.

Attached: tumblr_mdarkxwZzh1rtansxo1_250.gif (205x154, 69K)

I'd guess it'll turn out more realistic than a bunch of men writing about teenage girls, just a hunch though.

I have to agree, there are some odd design decisions regarding her clothing. Personally I would have removed the stuff in her hair and given her a mismatched shoe or sock, or a slouchy sock or something like that.

>I'd like there to be a running gag where every time Anne bathes or cleans herself off the twig and leaves just pop back into place like nothing happened
That could be what this shot in the intro is implying

I always laugh when people who are or pretend to be in the industry say things like, "It TROUBLES me!" or "It's really disturbing when!" about shit like this. Matt Braly will only earn the title of /ourguy/ if it's revealed that he held enough confidence to voice at least one recurring character in his own series.

It doesn't have to be Sprig per se, but it only makes sense that an Annie Award-winning director who managed to convince Disney to greenlight his pitch would be more than capable of jumping head first into voice-over work.

theres been some weird fucking issues going on having to do with the animation block that close enough was supposed to be a part of falling apart after the louis CK stuff that happened awhile back.
