SHAZAM

Why did they put it between Marvel's Captain marvel and Avengers Endgame?

Because Sony, WB, and Disney have deals about what times are open for releasing movies that might cause competition for the other companies.
This was the only good time WB could use for Shazam.

They wanted to get double teamed

Because there is weeks between each, thus barely affecting one another.

Because WB hates money.

That's why they put Detective Pikachu a week after Endgame and Godzilla a week after Aladdin

ONLY two weeks

Not to mention the budget is relatively low for a superhero movie (closer to Deadpool) so they don't need to make a huge sum of money like Aquaman to be profitable.

That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. You must be from Yea Forums to think something THAT fucking retarded is possible

>watching Aladdin

Pokemonn is fukin popular though

Detective Pikachu is two weeks after Avengers and Aladdin looks like a fucking joke. Godzilla doesn't have to worry about anything.

This.

The REAL danger is from Hellboy, Dumbo, and Pet Sematary

Nearly three, don't be retarded

Pikachu is on May 10, well after Avengers and Pokemon is just popular altogether.

Hellboy is dead on arrival

>Hellboy
>Real danger
not even close

>Virign In A Bottle
>Chadzilla

Not as popular as Avengers

Don't go betting any blu-rays because you're going to be Yea Forums levels of wrong on that one

>Not as popular as Avengers

Box Office and Home Entertainment prove my point

Who cares about trailer views, Godzilla is going to blow up overseas like Aquaman while Aladdin underperforms

Being the highest grossing media franchise prove the opposite

Again, when talking about MOVIES Box Office and Home Entertainment are what matters

Attached: Screenshot_20190316-162158_Chrome.jpg (1072x1298, 553K)

Might be a bad decision. Let's hope it isn't

Why are you posting fake usless numbers?

Attached: fAKE NUMBERS.png (902x669, 123K)

It is but bad decisions and WB go together like chocolate and marshmallows

>Why did they put aquaman against
>Spider-Verse have extremely positive reviews and Spider-Man is super popular but then how will the animation style + having a different Spider-Man that's not Peter Parker plays out with the general audience?
>Mary Poppin Returns is a sequel to a very beloved movie although there's the question on how it'll work out on being a sequel to a 50+ year old movie. At the same time, talks are coming out that this movie is a classic in the making and it is a family friendly musical playing on Christmas. One big question mark on MPR though is how this movie will do overseas.
>Bumblebee is following the negatively reviewed Transformers franchise but for the first time, we have a director that's not Michael Bay directing the movie and the G1 design + different looking story then just a Junkyard fighting clusterfuck seem to cause Bumblebee to get a lot of attention. Let's see how this one plays out when reviews start coming in but apparently this one is also positive and Paramount is doing early screenings soon.
They must be crazy

What was Aquaman's opening weekend again mr. "fake useless numbers"?

$67,873,522 and end up with $334,520,130 even though it was a b superhero movie

Because the people deserve the real Captain Marvel

>$67,873,522
So it did EXACTLY what the "fake useless numbers" said it would

And before you say something stupid like "it did better because tracking only said $65 million" the advanced screenings gave it an additional $2 million.

And they got her

Attached: Screenshot_20190321-171350_Chrome.jpg (1079x1950, 746K)

Because the best place to blow something up isn't from outside of it.

We'll see, screencapped

the REAL

Amalgam when?

Attached: bc.jpg (1382x2048, 1.06M)

The REAL Captain Marvel is the one that makes the most money and there's no possible way that that's going to be Shitztain

As soon as Based Disney buys DC which given the massive failure of everything DC does and the already guaranteed success of Disney+ should be by the end of the year

>5-12 = 1 week
>12-19 = 2 weeks
>19-26 = 3 weeks
Stay in school, kids.

DC is owned by Warner

You're in denial, eat the bluray captainsalt

That's not how it works

Nice try but

5-12 = week 1
12-19 = week 2
19-26= end of theatrical run

And it keeps losing money for them

Especially with that failure of a streaming service

Of course it is. The one with the most money is the one seen by the most people therefore the one most people think of when they hear the name

It's still 3 weeks, you retard.

How the fuck is DC losing them money?

If Disney/Marvel makes money, it means Warner/DC is losing it, because he sees everything from a sports team perspective and doesn't know how real life works.
I'm sure that somehow in his mind Aquaman actually lost money because Captain Marvel is making a lot of money now.

You're kidding yourself if you think people are watching the Aladdin trailer because of hype, and not to see if the will smith genie memes are real.

Is his name even "captain marvel" in the movie?

Well when you spend over a hundred million on shows for your streaming service and at best get a couple thousand back from your very few subscribers that's called losing money

you are leaving out all the boomers that use facebook

I'm sure even there the numbers are heavily in Aladdin's favor

>heavily in Aladdin's favor
I'm sure all those facebook tier genie memes are a great omen.

It's going to be shutdown soon because Warner Bros is also launching its own streaming service this year

Will it or will WB make people pay for it in addition to their own streaming service

They did say they were doing tiered subscription so they may charge you for HBO, Boomerang, Crunchyroll, WarnerMedia, and DC in some kind of bundle

>Look at all these numbers I just pulled out of my ass!

>Oh boy a Shazam thread
>Oh boy, THIS guy gain

Attached: Ladderbro.png (466x380, 357K)

Titans was $20 million, Doom Patrol obviously more because of bigger stars, then there's Swamp Thing, Young Justice, Harley Quinn, and Stargirl

That's AT LEAST $100 million right there

Not him but Doom Patrol IS BASED AND KINO

That's great but it's not bringing in the customers

Hellboy and Dumbo most definitely not
Pet Semetary maybe but that’s not really the same demographic

just make your /aco/ thread already

Dumbo definitely and Grown ups 2 wasn't the same demographic as Pacific Rim but it still kicked its ass

With the stellar reviews we're probably looking at another IT

Attached: Screenshot_20190314-221416_Chrome.jpg (1075x1110, 440K)

BillyCarol is too pure for aco.

Attached: shazams3.jpg (561x720, 137K)

Because the budget is like $90M and it'll make it back pretty quickly, especially if it's good (which it seems to be).

This isn't rocket science.

>mfw this thread will start to spiral into a BillyCarol thread
Let the fun begin!

Attached: Rage_Jack.jpg (680x537, 44K)

This, this fucking board and Yea Forums are so wrong it hurts.

Someone get SEN to draw a proper Billy Carol.

>it'll make it back pretty quickly
Not if it's tracking for a $50 million opening weekend. At best it will get $75 million domestically before Endgame kills it and it's probably not going to be enough of a massive hit overseas to get it that necessary $200 million

i actually feel insulted by this, its like they don't trust Shazam to carry a film.

I made the poster as a joke but honestly I'd rather that than another companywars shitpost thread.

All movies except JL made profits, majority of massive profits considering the money going into them. Because Warner Bros knows how to make more bang for their buck, while Disney is honestly overspending. Which is why they keep bumping the number of Marvel movies per year to get better year end quarters.

Shut the fuck up, this just appeases your body swap fetish

There's 2 surefire ways to know if something is going to fail. One is lack of threads and the other is if the cast and crew are having too much fun

Attached: D2H-VToWwAIQn6S.jpg (662x1024, 116K)

Not in my mind

>this just appeases your fetish

Attached: 1553209707345.jpg (588x480, 200K)

>using Yea Forums as a metric of ANYTHING'S

Doubt it all you want but Captain Marvel is getting a billion, Us is probably breaking $100 million domestic in its opening weekend, and Shazam will be another in a long line of DC failures

Hellboy is retarded as fuck. Set yourself up against Shazam for the capeshit audience and the R rated audience of pet semetary. The only way this could be worse is if it opened the same day as Endgame

sHAZAM is a family movie

youtube.com/watch?v=IVjPahjCnnU
it looks cheap

I refuse to believe one user goes to every thread about an upcoming DC movie and starts pulling numbers from his ass, it's too dumb and pathetic.
That said, i think Us might overtake Shazam considering Get Out's success, but if that's the case Shazam might still make money overseas.

So's Captain Marvel, Endgame, and Dumbo

It is cheap

That's why it bombing is so impressive

Still going huh ?

Pretty sure captain marvels release was moved around a bit

It looks amazing wtf is wrong with you retards

You're retarded right? I just said that we're not a metric to base anything on, how the he'll did you get onto the topic of carol?

Attached: 1548019105271.jpg (1132x1437, 457K)

>it's too dumb and pathetic
Wheredoyouthinkyouare.gif

Nice projection

redpilled

Its depressing how stubbornly people hold to their views even when faced with objective proof to the contrary. Pokemon is more popular, deal with it.

Because there are certain hot spots for theater releases and studios try to claim them but if someone else does and the studio is nervous about competition, they'll try to do it a week or two before/after.

You can't just say, "Why not release Shazam! in January when there is no competition!" because that's a death month for movies.

Lots of schools have March Spring Break so that's a hot spot time. It's also why summer vacation and holiday times are golden release times.

>There's 2 surefire ways to know if something is going to fail. One is lack of threads
Well Shazam currently has three active threads. I don't think I've seen a thread for Dumbo since the trailer dropped

You can't lump "R rates movies" together the same way you lump capeshit together.

I'm just saying Hellboy has no draw

True, I'm sure plenty of kids and people who are nostalgic for Dumbo are going to watch it, but does anyone on Yea Forums even care about Dumbo.

No but I don't think that many kids give a shit about Dumbo either. I can see this being another Christopher Robin
