1080 is more than fine but 4K discs look amazing with the right movie, Spider-Verse is something else and HDR games are sick too if they actually have colorful art design. But I’ve got a 70” TV and Atmos setup, if I had a screen that was much smaller I doubt I could tell the difference. And I don’t think Dora will have the budget to actually be finished in 4K, most digitally made movies aren’t, still

It’s really confusing, because by aging up Dora and apparently going for an adventure movie tone it’s clearly not targeting the actual audience of the show, and kids old enough to look down on “baby stuff” are going to totally reject the idea watching Dora anything. It’s like it’s just for irony viewers and Yea Forums cunnyposters, and I don’t think that’s enough to make a profit. I could see a bright colored CGI Dora movie having a niche, but this just looks weird and embarrassing

Yeah I really don’t have faith, it’s the people who did the last two Muppet movies which were fine but the Muppets were good to start with, there’s no signs they have Lord & Miller powers of turning shit into gold. And Paramount’s kids’ division is extremely overbearing on their creative teams, they constantly fought over making the second SpongeBob movie more commercial (they wanted it to be 100% CGI for one, and also gave endless notes on the jokes and shoehorning stuff they wanted in) but the team behind the show was on the movie and they stood their ground (and as some of Viacom’s biggest moneymakers had real power in the argument as they could comvince the VAs to walk) and was able to get away with only giving the execs a few concessions like the shoehorned live-action/CGI bit at the end. Now they’ve decided to avoid that drama and assemble a seperate team for the next movie and have it be all CG and the premise sounds like an awful incongruous mismash of unrelated ideas.
Judging by that behavior this will probably be safe, bland, and terrible, with no purpose to exist

HDR colors are the big advantage of the format honestly, also it means a lot of movies with 10+ year old Blu-rays are getting remastered with new scans and we’re getting better transfers that way. It’s definitely not a massive leap from HD (especially when a lot of stuff is still upscaled) but since I had to buy a new TV to replace my old-ass plasma and my brother was willing to buy my OG XBone so I could get a cheap S from Costco I’m glad to have UHD playback, especially because a lot of new Blu-rays are shipping with crippled audio mixes to force the upgrade

In my opinion, he was the best mexican comedian in the 90' and 00's, his skits were really good and even his series like "Familia Peluche" were very entertaining, he also was by far the best Donkey voice actor in the world. The problem is that he's not a good movie actor, he overuses the "wetback mexican inmigrant" role a lot and his movies have been from ok to mediocre, with the only good one with him being a christian movie where he acts as a mexican doctor treating an american girl with an apparent incurable disease.
