I mean, it makes sense. Almost all elves from every fiction have their roots in Tolkien's elves. and Tolkien's elves are basically immortal, perfect beings. They're immortal. They're strength is far vaster than a humans. They're more agile. Inherently magical. And also more beautiful than humans. That's just how it is. So of course there are iterations of elves that believe that elves are superior, because for all intents and purposes they are.
