Why give him body armor but leave the legs and crotch unprotected. How does this make sense.

A funny one

Nova force makes him invincible, and the chest isn't to protect him but the little circles act as exhausts or something. It's explained in Annihilation: Nova. Shoulder pads ar ejust for show and the helmet had Worldmind but it also protects him psionic attacks.
