what sick fuck shaved heffer

Sonic Underground ends without finding their mother.

Why on God's green earth did Lupus pose as a scout master in the first place? Let alone feel the need to lock up Heffer and take his place as one?

>Dark series finales
all your efforts are pointless, no matter how you try, you will always be a failure, and suffering is the only thing you can ever expect from life

Attached: Sidekick.jpg (1920x1080, 145K)

My question is what Rocko was up too while Heffer was locked up all that time.

...Sorry Baby Sinclair, I don't think even your catchphrase is going to save the humor this time.

Attached: finales-dinosaurs.jpg (612x461, 176K)

Yeah, this was the absolute darkest.

There is an awful lot of gay rule 34 for Robbie, yet very little Charlene

fucking the skater girl

why

probably banging beverly after she divorced ed and took half his money

I’m surprised Viacom allowed that to happen

furries = fags?
you cant lump reptilefags with them do you?

Kid vs. Kat's finale ends with Kat wiping everyone's memories of him being an alien except Coop's, including the two of Coop's friends who already knew Kat was an alien from before that episode.

They don't get their parents back.

Attached: 12869191.jpg (665x374, 61K)

They almost didn't, that's why he's shaved and naked and doesn't have that eye deformity.

I want Viacom to strip me shave me and fix my eye deformity.

Attached: images.jpg (295x171, 5K)

That was pretty brutal. I never expected a sitcom like Dinosaurs would pull off something like the main character killing everyone.

Wait how did this shit series end? Did his superhero ever come back?

Well, not so much dark, as much as confusing and depressing.

Attached: 29.png (480x360, 259K)

No, but he burned everyone's graduation diplomas with accidental heat vision causing everyone to repeat Sidekick school because of said accident.

I'm gonna go ahead and just take your word for it

So he did come back them, right? At least long enough to accidentally burn the diplomas?

All of his friends die horrifically with the implication that the whole thing is a time loop where they've failed multiple times before.

Attached: mighty-max-series.jpg (512x368, 18K)

Time moves forward and people move on. Why are Teen Titans fans so retarded that they don't get it. It was a good ending. It was showing that Terra moved on and Beast Boy finally moved on in the end. Fuck off.

Not Yea Forums, but St. Elsewhere's closing credits in its final episode has the company's cat mascot on life support, and in the last few seconds before fading to black, the EKG monitor flatlines. That's pretty fucking dark, and that's right after the show's reveal that everything that happened in the show was all from the imagination of an autistic child. Coincidentally enough, Mimsie, the cat mascot in question, actually died not long after the finale aired. She was 20 years old.

I think she remembered who she was, but prefers play the "amnesia game" rather than face the fact that she was a traitor and a shit person in general.

Nope, Eric burned them

youtube.com/watch?v=wQv6fITmY2c

Actually with how it ended, it's actually implied that Max will do things differently.

Bump

This is what happens when the people making the show get *just* enough advance knowledge of their cancellation and do shit about it with their last episode.

I recall a Wildstorm comic called Ninja Boy or summat which was a decent if not spectacular Eastern fantasy where some ninja kid is set up to avenge his clan against a corrupt empire--for like 4 issues. But the crew obvious knew they were getting canceled by issue four and the final chapter is the empire's goons just outright *murdering* the good guys and throwing the ninja's body off a cliff (with just enough vagueness about his alive status in case the book would come back in some fashion.)

It's a time loop, yeah, but the implication is not that they've done this all before but that Max now has knowledge of all the events of the show and can therefore correct the course of things for the better.

Eh.

Terra is basically someone who made *every* wrong choice/decision, making the point that not everyone is cut out to be a Titan/superhero/etc. even if you have powers or support or training to go with. It's the other side of Spider-Verse's "Anyone can wear the mask" message if viewed through Ratatoille's lens-- A hero can come from any where, any background, but not everyone can do it.

She clearly has some fucked up trust issues and took a firm grasp of the Fucking Moron Ball by allying with Slade-- but her initial rejection of the Titans was ...at least believable in a moment of passion kinda way where she assumed betrayal of trust rather than Robin making an educated guess at what was going on.

I honestly cannot surmise what Slade could have possibly told her to win her over and why she thought subsequently tring to murder the Titans was a brilliant plan, but when she FINALLY realized shit had gone too far she took herself out of the game. She avoided certain tangible punishments like jail time or whatever but if she was legitimately turned to stone for like 2-3 seasons of the show, I'd at least be willing to say she served her time and wipe the slate like she's trying to.

Sorta

underground was terrible from start to finish

What was that?
Did the comics ever explain what that was?

Alot of fans assumed it was either Knuckles or Metal Sonic, but it was...IIRC a previously established villain who would return and the idea of the next season would be kinda anti climactic in that Robitnik comes back after Snively fucks up enough or something.

It was Ixis Naugus.

It's Yea Forums related now

Isn't there some deal like that with Bucky O'Hare as well? I recall their being a wiki on the series and it had a huge section about the toads invading earth in sequel fics or something...

It's not a episode itself, but the animated series timeline has the saddest ending for the bat.
In some comics, bruce end up dead, married (with selina) or retired (kingdom come, tdkr) but in the DCAU he ends up completely alone with nearly all of the batfamily members hating him, his legacy turned into a joke, gotham being even worse than ever,

Attached: Screen_Shot_2018_10_15_at_5.48.17_PM.0.jpg (1200x675, 108K)

It's funny that one of the writers of the show joke about how he his rogue gallery ended up happier than him since a lot of them reformed and went full civilian life.

>in the DCAU he ends up completely alone with nearly all of the batfamily members hating him

By the end of Beyond, it's only Dick. Maybe.

Attached: Bruce_pays_a_visit.png (444x250, 93K)

They forgive each other and amend their past grudges, however, they wouldn't regain the past 40 years, their relationship is broken forever.

I mean, half of the characters in Fosters are already thought-up.

It's a cartoon and bla bla bla but I wonder how the foster world functions
like, I could easily imagine 10 busty chicks with perfect asses and put their butts to work in prostitution
and who it's going to stop me, they aren't real, it's like selling fleshlights

I aslways assumed it was only kids and maybe teens who had the ability to make Imaginary Friends and as you grow up you lose the ability to make them because you don't need them anymore.

Take Eduardo who was made to protect a little girl but let her grow into a woman who protects others or Wilt who's kid grew up into a basketball star who was polite but not a total pushover

WHat happened?

He was in one episode. Briefly for about one second. Something about Eric cleaning up with a vacuum and then the usual cartoon stuff of everything gets sucked in and it flashes across the screen. I was surprised later on when they killed off the hero's brother.

Without going into those EU comics, Bruce effectively *did* end Super Villain Crime in Gotham once the Joker got shot even if White color and regular crime continued (eventually) unabated.) I can only imagine that even if you have muggers on every other street and white collar corp bullshit that rips you off nobody had to worry about deadly laughing gas attacks or ironic joke massacres anymore.

But the moment super villain shit started up again a new Batman rose up and continues Bruce's legacy.

That's the point. There will always be a need for Batman, and the answer in the DCAU at least is that there WILL always be a Batman to heed the call.

Bruce gets the shaft, I won't argue that point, but his legacy can and will endure no matter how many bridges he burned, and some of them weren't irreparable.

Angry Beavers finale was never aired but there is audio of it, they discover their existence is just a cartoon and have an existential crisis

youtu.be/cPP4zUDuo4c

Spider-Man never found Mary Jane in Spider-Man TAS.

And Norman got away with it while Harry had Gwen in Spectacular.

I think that Alf ending was that he couldn't return to his planet and was captured
Sorry for being a zoomer, I never got the opportunity to watch those shows. What are they about? Why are they dark?
Also, I remember watching Sonic Underground but I don't remember this character. Why is he a meme?

The kids find where their parents were hidden, but then the one intelligent alien moves them somewhere else.

they're called scalies and by the numbers I think they're gayer than furries

Attached: mr-freeze-puns-ranked-from-horrible-to-most-horri-1-6659-1389195499-20_big.jpg (355x236, 93K)

its funny because Lupus was scoutmaster for maany years before heffer escaped.

I always figured frankie was another of madam fosters imaginary friends. foster knew she wouldn't live forever, and hariman couldn't do it on his own...she never had any kids so she reimagined her younger self to take care of the house once she passed away. would also make sense as to why frankie never had any imaginary friends. they even wear the same clothes.

Kid vs Kat is a Zoomer show, how old are you?

lupus wanted to be in a position of authority and scoutmaster was the one where people wouldn't figure out he was a fraud.

they aired it out of order. it was and is the canon ending to the series.

McCracken has said Frankie has parents and did have an imaginary friend before, but was forced to give them up. She starting working at Foster's hoping she'd meet them again.

I'm sure the reason they did was to say "Hey look kids, they're fine!"

Camp Lazlo had it that Scoutmaster Lumpus wasn't the actual scoutmaster for the camp, but kidnapped the real scoutmaster and stole his uniform. The series ends with the real scoutmaster (Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life) showing up with the police to arrest Lumpus.

Mighty Max's last episode has his companions killed and Max is left to defeat the big bad by himself. He fails and uses his magic cap to reset everything back to the beginning, back to the first episode.

I don't know the other two shows.

I'm but a scalie enthusiast

Attached: blue.png (1099x1436, 2.51M)

The Alf ending wasn't meant to be the series finale, the show just got canceled so they couldn't finish it.

>It's actually true

Attached: 1547831793305.jpg (1021x763, 128K)

I believe the writters said it wasn't canon, but it's the best form of conclusion it gets, they even had to swap the episode order so it wasn't the last episode aired, but my guess is that they were probably forced to do all that by Nick.

According to the showrunners that was an out of order episode. It was meant only as a What If scenario.

Good.

This looks like preschool shit. Why are you watching preschool shit?

This is the holy grail of shit endings right here. I hate every form of media that does this. Any way to make this salvageable?

hey, user, don't be sad, at least you can learn what happened to their mother in that one "sonic has aids" comic

No Uncle Grandpa?

How did Uncle Grandpa end anyways?

Dear god the artist who did this looks like he also did that cursed image that must not be mentioned.

Not only that, but Wayne Enterprise was bought out by Powers and became a weapons manufacturer. Even his family's legacy bit the dust.

I really fucking hate designs like this.

Fuck that stupid episode for trying to make me feel sympathy for a shit character. Terra is insanely awful.

>St. Elsewhere's closing credits in its final episode has the company's cat mascot on life support, and in the last few seconds before fading to black, the EKG monitor flatlines.
This still pisses me off. Why the fuck would you do this. End your show on a dark note if you want but dont fucking do shit like this. I will never forget this and it will always make me sad as hell. That's not fucking right.

This, FUCK TERRA

they all got eaten by Chris Chan.

Not really, it makes everything seem pretty pointless, i guess Drawn to Life the next chapter could be an exception since you're actively working towards waking up the kid in a coma, meaning your actions do make a difference, but that still makes the 2 other games in the franchise fell uterly pointless. Wilfre didn't deserve all that stuff man, he just wanted to draw and shit just spiraled out of control.

Attached: WilfreDies.gif (80x64, 43K)

STEER!

heffer wolf?

That was a hoot!

i remember liking this game series but i cant remember what happened to wilfre

fuck now im having nostalgic vibes for holding a stylus

Taking a rocket ship to the future

He was forced to use Heather (the girl with half her face govered with darkness) as a vessel to ensure his continued survival, by the end of the game he's trying to stop you and the villagers to wake up mike since all the raposa would die, but he gets defeated and killed by the hero, the gif i posted was him cycling through all the forms he took during the game before vanishing from existance.

what a sudden wave of nostalgia, thanks user. i need to play it again one day, the only reason i forgot about it back then was because my L and/or R pads stopped working and that made it impossible to play

Did you really not underatand it? Ffs she obviously remembered bb. But she had cast off her old identity and all the memories and connections with it. She was living her new non super hero life as just a normal girl. Its not confusing at all.

Post it or the link.

Are you sure?

Thank you, I've been trying to remember what series that was. It was crazy, the bad guys just straight up kill the hero and that's the end of the story.
Though they apparently made a Kickstarter and it came back very recently, so they got to bring the hero back to life and it doesn't end so horribly.

Bucky O'Hare's ending is more or less the arcade game.

Good wilt hunting was good hype

The season finale had more plot than Turbo's first half.

Turbo didn't start getting tolerable until the halfway point.

Not dark but still a cliffhanger
Basically when the Martian Emperor found out that his three soldiers actually went native on Earth and defy his orders to conquer it, he proceeds to just send the entire Martian Armada in response
That's just how it ends

That was the entire point of Batman Animated Series. Perchance to Dream and Mask of the Phantasm both show how Bruce sacrificing happiness to become Batman. It's not until New Adventures and Beyond that the consequences of his actions take effect. In short, DCAU is a realistic take on Batman as a character: he becomes Citizen Kane

>Bogstation
Nani

It's definitely sad, but I personally wouldn't call it dark.

that ending didnt even make sense. slinkman knew him as a kid, so why wouldnt he know that lupus was a fraud?

I don't remember much, but wasn't that basically the ending of most of the earlier season?

Actually the series' real ending is the made-for-tv movie project alf. It ends with Alf becoming an ambassador for his species on earth.

Still disappointed they made zero effort on the tanners. I think Willie's actor hated working on the series though but I don't know if its true.

This cartoon was far better than it should have been.

An usual afternoon in the US of A

Lol I thought I dreamt this. Wtf was that

Yeah, but they 9/11'd Robtonik.

I hate this so much.

The ending of Texhnolyze was a bit of a downer.

I wish more people watched it but most people probably just dismiss it as boring pseud shit like Ergo Proxy

Let's lighten up and post some great endings to shows.
The Movie was the perfect way to end Spongebob. Spongebob and Patrick earned the respect of all of Bikini Bottom, including Squidward who despises him, gets his dream promotion, and Plankton is finally locked up in jail after an extremely satisfying ending battle. There couldn't have been a more perfect ending to 3 Seasons of perfection and I'm glad they knew the right time to end it.

Attached: ocean man.jpg (1280x720, 100K)

It wasn't the end though

yes it was shut up

It's the canon ending to the series, despite many post-movie seasons and Sponge Out of Water.

Man, fuck the Dark Tower.

I remember finally finishing the last book in eighth grade. What a fucking waste. I’m 22 now.

This. I don't get where people keep thinking Max has done the loop before. While the series did imply there was a kind of "cycle" with the "Mighty One versus the Skullmaster", that was more to do with how Max's predecessors came and went in the eons since Virgil began fighting back against Skullmaster.
In any case, I'd love to see that series get a proper finish somehow, even if it were just a movie where Max has to contend with whatever consequences come from rewinding time and altering events.

Attached: virgil.jpg (320x240, 17K)

Clone High: Abe loses Joan to JFK, the entire cast (save Scumsworth) is cryogenically frozen, and the show is cancelled on a cliffhanger ending.

ReBoot: Megabyte survives being cast into the Net, and the show ends with him going on a feeding frenzy inside the Principal Office.

Somewhat related, the finale for the second season of Beast Wars was done under the assumption that there wasn't going to be another season, so they decided to kill everyone off and have Megatron completely undo the threads of reality itself by killing the original Optimus Prime just to make sure the Predacons won over the Maximals in a fit of insanity. They got the word that they were renewed for a third season after so they had to write their way out of that one in the opening episode of S3.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 45K)

I mean the implications from Tron Legeacy basically doom the entire cast and Tron right? It’s aboy as fucked up as the implications of the clone wars were we know that it ends horribly for everyone, the KH2 level was gold though

Kind of makes me glad that awful new show wasn't canonical, though it is a bit insulting at the same time. But, better that they ignored the original series mostly instead of ruining what had transpired with the human crap.

The Sopranos

I love the fmg concept but the first ep didn’t really grab me

Is it worth finishing?

Shit taste

Something something grand legume

Didn't the cowboy cartoon that was part of Snookums and Meat end with kind of dark cliffhanger? I know it always ended each part with cliffhangers since it was meant to parody the old radio dramas, but I swear there was some serious shit about to go down in the final segment that aired.

I fucking hate those theories with a burning passion.

That's actually the kid from the pilot.

I will be honest this show is meh, the most interesting thing that has to offer apart from the end, is that the characters bleed when they get hurt.

Eh, still more of an ending than what Reboot had where Megabyte's about to tear Mainframe apart (again) and then we get jackshit for over a decade, just a shitty "revival" series that looks even more outdated than the original show did.

you wouldn't say "an unicorn" would you?
just because it looks right to the eye
doesn't make it grammatically or phonetically correct
especially if you're adding letters to make something "look" right
for the ESL-kuns out there, you would say
>A typical afternoon in the US of A

I just wanted Flapjack to be off the air.
the only episode I watched was the one with the beautiful man with a bag on his face

But everyone in every show dies eventually, barring canon immortals.

You use "an" before a vowel sound and "a" before a consonant sound, regardless of it's spelling. The simple phrase:
>He has A UNIQUE point of view on the subject and takled about it for AN HOUR.
helps to clarify this point.

it was novel then

it should have ended with them getting to candied island as the last shot of the series

Everyone we've met over the course of the show is erased from existence, along with their friends, families, and countless generations preceding them.

Attached: 1495337148680.png (1920x1080, 1.74M)

I remember beating this game on a road trip late at night and was terrified that's what was going to happen to me. I ended up beating it again to see of that really was the ending and I'm still shocked that it actually happened.

BTAS is separate from Gotham Knights for me. The changes to characters and relationships were too radical for me, so in my headcanon, BTAS on Fox was its own beast.

This is dishonest. What this user is talking about is a future where the ultimate evil ruled and ruined the planet (and we're led to believe a part of the galaxy) for millennia and the WHOLE FUCKING PLOT, EVEN THE INTRO SONG was about going to the past to prevent that same future, which is achieved in the end of the series, when the protag goes back in time and kills the big bad, preventing his rule. It's a happy, hopeful ending.

In MTV, he flat out quit after he felt responsible for his bang buddy being put in a coma.

Not really. And why do people assume the characters can't be born again into some better future? It's a fucking cartoon with magic shapeshifting demons and other zany crap.

In the 50 years that Jack had been in the future, he'd substantially weakened Evil's grip on Earth, improved life for hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of people, and there's absolutely no reason to think that the world wouldn't continue to get better once Aku was defeated in the future. Yes, countless people suffered and died, but countless others didn't. The survived, grew, had families who did the same, and all the while affected the lives of an unfathomable number of other people.

The dead were already dead. Why should the living be sacrificed to erase their suffering?

This was originally the finale

Attached: Vlcsnap-2013-08-15-18h55m26s183.png (640x480, 385K)

I did like it as a kid but looking back at it, that "it was all a dream" ending was kind of cheap. It doesn't explain everything, like what does the Creator or the Hero represent? Why were there two events of "mind recovery" in a way? First being DTL's ink clearing focus and DTLTNC's color refill focus, how do those tie into Mikes comma and what's the difference between their representations? There are other loose ends of course but those two are my major questions.

>tldr: The ending was cheap and felt rushed

Attached: penn_jillette.jpg (300x400, 31K)

>why do people assume the characters can't be born again into some better future?
Think of all the trillions upon trillions of events that have to happen over a lifetime at exactly the right moment in exactly the right order for your dad to meet your mom and have sex at exactly the right time such that the one in a quarter-billion sperm cells that makes you you fertilizes a particular egg. All it takes is something as simple as you mom pausing to have an extra glass of wine before going upstairs to the bedroom, your dad missing that green light on the drive home, etc and a different sperm cell wins out and you as a person cease to exist.

Now extrapolate that across tens or hundreds of generations.

Doesn't really matter when it's a cartoon where magical shit can happen.

Naw man the fox got pussy in the end, it's all good.

That's a fucking cop out. Even in a fictional setting with magic, rules and limits exist.

Why should the living who were killed by Aku be sacrificed? That's the real question you're asking. He can undo centuries of suffering and death, why shouldn't he? Hell, he's morally obligated to do so, it would go against his very nature to just let this terrible future come to pass.

Not really, if the series wasn't too serious to begin with, it can end however it wants. It didn't, but it's not like that wasn't a possibility for the ending.

why do you even begin a discussion when when all your replies are "hurr magic"

during the show he didn't go into a portals several times to save some random people

Some do argue that Jack should have accepted that they're gone and fought to save the lives that were now there with him. Which is a fair assertion all things considered.
Honestly, I think Genndy should have just made two fucking endings. One with Jack going back, and one with Jack eradicating Aku and guiding the world to a future that was free.

There are dark moments in the finale, as Clarence is confronted with the impermanence of friendship and human relationships in general.
Clarence tries to process his jealousy about Sumo with one last manic adventure, but he quickly realizes his old tricks no longer work.
In the end it all works out and they leave us with a proper ship to end the show, but the inevitable darkness of adulthood and maturity is ever-present in Clarence's final hours.

Attached: fomo_finale_clarence.png (1920x1080, 1.86M)

They aren't all "huur magic", jackass. The point is that it's silly to apply realistic logic like "lives can turn out differently" when we're talking about fantasy.

He's not letting this terrible future come to pass... it's passed, it's done, Aku did horrible, terrible, awful things, but like I said - the dead are already dead. If Jack goes back in time the worst that happens is he erases the lives of a hundred generations of people across an entire galaxy. If he doesn't go back in time, the worst that happens is... nothing.

Yep. Everyone got f u c k e d by the full scale military presence.

It's completely fair when the entire fucking final act of the finale is built around Ashi ceasing to exist because of shit turning out differently.

Good.

Attached: clu.png (936x519, 698K)

That doesn't mean the future can't exist again in some way. Loads of fiction do that shit where the descendants of characters in works with altered timelines still exist in some fashion but now with better lives. As for Ashi, all that was established is that she can't exist without Aku since it was partly because of his essence that she and her sisters came to be.

Thank you! the whole point was to change the future. We knew this from day one, so I don't get what the problem was.

Simon never got Betty back
the love of his life basically sacrifices herself for him then poofs out of existence across space and time leaving Simon alone again. A fate that might even be worse than being the crazed ol Ice King.

its never touched on what the fuck became of him either. all of this pushed aside however so CN could shove bubbaleen in your face along with fucking next generation of Finn/Jake.

Attached: Betty-GOLB.png (350x378, 116K)

>We knew this from day one, so I don't get what the problem was.
The problem is that the story of entire final season of the show is basically built around "Jack forgives himself for the deaths of his people and realizes there are people worth fighting for in the future", and then it doesn't capitalize on that setup.

It's like if Up ended with Carl getting the house to the falls and then deciding to stay there, or if Aladdin ended with Al wishing to be a prince again so he can marry Jasmine. Yeah, it's what's advertised in the trailer, but it's clearly not what the stories and the characters' arcs are about.

st elsewhere ruined all of media

Attached: UyNxJiv.jpg (2549x1202, 394K)

I don't know, I think Up could have worked with Carl living in the falls if he at least opted to interact with the nearest society or just became a protector to the indigenous wildlife there. The core theme of the film was that Carl was just whiling away his days doing nothing but mourn the loss of his wife and not interacting with the outside world as he did when he was a kid. Certainly not as exciting as him going on more adventures in the stolen airship and becoming a sort of adoptive grandpa to the fat kid, but still.

Cartoon Network should really make an special about Candied Island in the same vein as the Invasion special.
>Week-long event
>Every episode happens on a different show
>It can be about Candied Island or just candies in general
>The event ends with the Flapjack finale "We have made it!" where they finally get to Candied Island
>Everyone is happy

They arrive...but Candied Island was destroyed after a clash between Ben 10 and some random powerful villain.

God, I never realized how many "The (actor's name) Show" there were.

They actually retcon this and redo the credits in the collection they later released with the two games.

they retcon it into Mike having fell from a a tree in a camping trip with his parents and not waking up. When he does, Heather (who also got hit by falling) and their parents are there and they are all fine.

What the fuck? I thought this was a fever dream I had.

Has there ever been a song that plays at a show's ending that hit as perfectly in the moment as OCEAN MAN?

It was good, it just really fucking hurt.

doesn't fucking matter

Look I didn't say it was good, I just was giving trivia.

Well how often is it that a show gets a touching ending, a pretty decent DTV movie followup, and then gets revived with a heavily divisive spinoff? Not trying to start up anything about TTG, as it never really bothered me that much personally, but I can understand how some people felt betrayed that the only "continuation" was a show that is very different from what you had spent a few years growing up with.

I remember when my little brother showed me this. What the fuck 5th Cell

>Saved the world from being turned into a nearly lawless, cruel wasteland ruled by some psycho nearly-immortal entity
>bad
Arguably dark, but not as "DARK AND INHUMANE" as you claim (both here and in the shitton of unnecessary samurai jack threads about dust settling and what people felt about the finale). Its much more of a bittersweet/hopeful ending than straight-up dark.
The comics kinda did the "and then jack decided to stay and build a better future rather than save the past" ending, but it left ambiguous what happened to jack and his friends.

And i'm goddamn glad it wasn't. Both because big picture show was amazing as a finale and because this just felt cheap and needlessly depressing for a finale rather than just a gag.

Don't forget that Gunter takes on the mantle as the Ice King after Simon goes back to normal. Even though the ending montage shows that Gunter is happy, I thought that the crown drove anybody who wore it insane so isn't the whole thing kind of fucked up? Another concerning aspect about the finale is that the Lich is still inside of Sweet Pea. Sure the Farmworld hand Lich was killed but he was another universe's Lich, not ours.

Attached: 1536176292348.png (2048x1128, 1.03M)

>Saved the world from being turned into a nearly lawless, cruel wasteland ruled by some psycho nearly-immortal entity
If only there was some way he could kill the psycho nearly-immortal entity in the future... some kind of magic weapon in his possession and an army of friends and loved ones fighting by his side.

Wasn't Sweetpea meant to have learned about good and thus lost his (the Lich's) lust for destruction?

>If only there was some way he could kill the psycho nearly-immortal entity in the future... some kind of magic weapon in his possession and an army of friends and loved ones fighting by his side.
Murdering him wouldn't undo how long he (and the hordes of unchecked criminals) fucked up earth and a lot of alien species under his rule.
The whole moral dilemma between going back to the past undoing it all or staying on the future and building a different future would be a lot more interesting to discuss if your argument didn't consist entirely of "BOO HOO HE DELETED THE ENTIRE CAST OF THE SERIES".

But he is, Tom Kenny voiced him in the finale.

I knew the sonic fandom is autistic but Jesus...

I don't think he was doubting that Tom was providing the voice.

But it was great. Plus King knew he found perfection in the opening line so rather than try to beat it with the end line he just used the same thing.

Wait wtf I beat this game as a kid but I don't remember this at all. Did I fucking block it out of my memory or something?

>Any way to make this salvageable?
It works if the MC is stuck in someone else's dream. Link's Awakening for example: Link is real, his experience is real, and he remembers it afterwards, even when the dream world has ended. No bullshit about him being a mundane kid who just imagined he was the hero Link or something.

I remember a short British animation that did a good spin on this too; it was about some scientists who find out they're actually in some normal guy's dream. It ended with them opening a portal to the real world and taking the guy (still asleep) to the dream world, presumably so they could keep him asleep forever and stop their world from being destroyed.

What is this?

>Clone High
I kinda like it as an "ask not for whom the bell tolls" ending. Abe never gets to be happy because he stayed so naive and indecisive, and now Scudsworth will just leave everyone frozen forever.

Enjoy life while you can, because you never know when a Scudsworth might happen to you.

It ended with the villains about to get eaten by coyotes. So technically a good ending.

youtube.com/watch?v=rO9CChAzxVk

Floyd and Percy fall down and turn to ash though, so it's kinda vague whether they straightup died or if that was just a cartoony gag.

Oh no, growing up and changing, how dark.

Attached: 550_101223229.jpg (550x611, 43K)

This cartoon looks really fun. Those voice actors too holy shit

I don't know man, it's been shown time after time that Jack cares about the people from the future, if going back to the past erased everything whats the point of him wasting a perfect oportunity to prevent the awful future just to save some randoms that he just met that day that either won't exist or will exist but won't die?

The way I see it, they should have ended with Jack defeating Aku in the future with the help of everyone he saved and then traveling to the past and defeat him there.

It was so easy to pull a "Foolish Samurai, even if you defeat me in the past the future that is I, Aku, will still exist" since we have a fucking primeval being made of pure evil that can make time portals, having a "both timelines will still exist because timey wobly magicky aku stuff" explanation wouldn't be that farfetched, now Jack has to defeat Aku in the future too, the sacrifices and friends he made wont be in vain since the timeline wont be erased, his waifu will still exist since both timelines exist, and still gives a kinda bittersweet ending since he has to left everyone he made friends with but with the knowledge that he also gave them a better future free from Aku's grasp

>white color crime
It's white collar crime, you ignorant fuckstick. White color crime just sounds racist, where white collar crime is about the sort of crimes rich people perform, because they tend to have white collars, where working class people tend to have blue collars, at least they did when this idiom was made.

Most earlier season power rangers ended with the megazords getting destroyed, but by that point, Zordon was prepared for the inevitable escalation in power, and usually, in the same episode, he'd have a newer, stronger machine prepared for them.

this is how the samurai jack comic ends

Do you think they stayed friends after Korra somehow fucked it up?

Romance ruins cartoons and I can't wait for the next generation to go back to being puritans so stories can focus on all of the interesting stuff again instead of wasting so much time on gay shit like this. Also shipfags not being encouraged would be fucking great

>thinking puritanism was ever good
>thinking it will ever make a comeback
Holy fuck nigger, how fucking incel are you?

got about 9 years total of full time dedicated relationships out of 3 different women, I'm just fucking sick to death of everything in media needing to be sexual in some way, its so fucking boring.
Sex is fun and all, but its not as fucking important as everyone makes it out to be these days, I'm just so tired of it. Its never interesting, its just a waste of fucking time. Like, who wants to pay to go see a movie only for 45 minutes of it to be dedicated to the same fucking romantic subplot we've all seen a billion times? Who actually gives a fuck who the main character is fucking? Thats literally the least important part of any story and yet it takes up so much of the limited time the story has

Is it done?

This is the rant of an underage incel upset at being called out for being the virgin he is.

I mean, people unironically watch the karTRASHians.

I'm actually just a 26 year old boomer that isn't being mind raped by hormones anymore and cares more about the other aspects of stories because the romantic subplot is always the same fucking shit god damn its so fucking boring

Even when a cartoon or comic manages to not have sexual under or overtones, good fucking luck talking about it without zoomers jerking off together over their imaginary relationships between the children in the show

I prefer "Retardashians"

Quit being a mopey fuck.

Dungeons and Dragons. They never got back home.

Sounds like a pretty good ending to me, I'd be down for living in a D&D campaign for the rest of my life instead of the real world. I have enough gold to last multiple lifetimes and reality warping magic items in D&D, in real life I have debt, 3 asshole cats, a wageslave job and a stinky apartment with too many house centipedes

>if your argument didn't consist entirely of "BOO HOO HE DELETED THE ENTIRE CAST OF THE SERIES"
He didn't just delete the cast, he deleted everyone that's been born, lived, and died within the last 1000ish years on Earth and on any world that Aku or the other people on Earth have affected directly or indirectly. Every person, every family, every civilization, every event both good and bad alike.

Yes, the future is a fucked up place. Criminals and monsters everywhere, an evil empire pillaging the planet for resources and enslaving other worlds, evil robot armies around every corner, but it all relies on Aku maintaining control through constant fear, intimidation, and destruction and if you take him out there's nothing preventing people from making the future a better place.

Yeah, putting that way your side of the story does sound more reasonable, but i feel either choice for jack makes a good degree of sense (while still having some sort of heavy sacrifice to it).
Again, its at least nice how we sort of got both possible sides for an ending via the comics (jack stays and builds a better future) and the final season (jack goes back, avenging his family and saving the future from aku).

>It was so easy to pull a "Foolish Samurai, even if you defeat me in the past the future that is I, Aku, will still exist" since we have a fucking primeval being made of pure evil that can make time portals, having a "both timelines will still exist because timey wobly magicky aku stuff"
Not really, in the series at least Jack managed to kill aku for good (even if the fight was really anticlimatic), as the sword was the only weapon that could TRULY end him, thus saving the future from being fucked over by Aku.
The whole point of Aku being unable to just swoop over and murder jack throughout the series, aside from jack being very skilled, was that he had the only thing that could kill him for good, unlike the previous methods used to stop him.
Aku having the hability to go to different timelines is a whole different deal, hard to say when that side of his powers aren't really explained.

i thought rocko was confirmed gay?

super robot monkey team hyperforce go's last episode was really something else...

i might be confusing 'gay' for 'australian'

I don't mind Jack getting back to the past and completing his mission... but the show really needed some kind of epilogue where we see a glimpse of the new better future that Jack's actions create and maybe some familiar faces leading better lives.

Again, your argument would be better if it just didn't consist of you repeating the same thing over and over.
There's certainly a point to be made for 'hey, lets stay in the future and build something better', but from Jack's own standpoint that wasn't much of the case, the man saw his entire country be reduced to slaves in a ravaged land, and spent a goddamn eternity stewing in that guilt (to the point of almost losing his sanity for good), there's no way nor reason he wouldn't go back to the past and fulfil his destiny, unless they needed an excuse to keep the story going or if all the possible ways to the past were destroyed.

An easy mistake.

"Boomer"
WORDS HAVE MEANING KID

even if it happens i doubt they could make it justice, beside Virgil's VA is dead and Skullmaster's is retired due a stroke that left him unable to work.

Screw that where's my Maximillion prequal series?

>Again, your argument would be better if it just didn't consist of you repeating the same thing over and over.
I could say the same thing for your argument. Look, if it were a case where the the future was *beyond* saving. Where Aku had set things in motion that would doom anyone who survived the end of his reign, I could see the argument that changing the past is the only choice that makes sense, but that's not remotely the situation the characters are faced with. The entire fucking final season was about showing Jack that hope wasn't lost, that the future wasn't beyond saving.

>The entire fucking final season was about showing Jack that hope wasn't lost, that the future wasn't beyond saving.
Yeah, that kinda gave a bit of a whiplash with the whole save the past, although by the time jack got in the portal most of the people he inspired were either dead or going to die so kind of a lost point as pretty much most of what would be left without them are crappy wastelands or a handful of places still oppressed by aku.

>I remember a short British animation that did a good spin on this too; it was about some scientists who find out they're actually in some normal guy's dream. It ended with them opening a portal to the real world and taking the guy (still asleep) to the dream world, presumably so they could keep him asleep forever and stop their world from being destroyed.
...hold the fucking phone. They kidnapped their unconscious demiurge and put him inside his own subconscious without destroying either of them? How? How the fuck does that work? Is he dreaming of himself dreaming? Does he have any control over it? How did they know it was him? Does he just vanish from his everyday life? Was this his plan all along?

Attached: 1497529144815.jpg (1920x1080, 364K)

There was an alternative ending where he falls off a tree and just passes out for a bit before waking up, it's done in a really cartoony art style too, it replaced this ending in later releases of the game so that might have been the ending you got.

THE REAAAAAAAL LIFEEEEEE
youtube.com/watch?v=Kur0qaYM1jM&t=125s

Yep, but in this ending, Zordon was gone, their base was overrun and destroyed and they lost the Turbo Powers. The only thing that saved them was the main villain's big boss calling her back.

Mighty Max has an ending where the bad guy (skull master) is after the good guy's (max) magic portal producing hat which he can use to gain ultimate power.
Max is able to escape to a pocket dimension where skull can't follow him, but skull takes his friend hostage and threatens to kill him if he doesn't come back. The friend begs him not to attempt a rescue, saying his death that day had been predicted by a seer long ago, so he's accepted it. But max can't accept that so he comes up with a complex rescue plan. This fails, he gives up the hat to skull who then just turns around and murders his friend anyway. Skull then tries to use the hat to get godlike superpowers, but max jumps on him interrupting the ritual and inadvertently throwing them both backwards in time to the first episode, at which point max vows he'll be more successful this time. But the show ends there, so I always took it to be that he was caught in a time loop. Others disagree with me on that though.

Still though my favorite episode was the one where they fight a super villain with a forced evolution machine who eventually evolves himself so far that he realizes what he's doing is wrong so fucks off.

Nah that happens all the time round here.
youtu.be/rqi5pWlmTgk

Can anyone find that animation? It sounds really interesting.

>the WHOLE FUCKING PLOT, EVEN THE INTRO SONG was about going to the past to prevent that same future
There were times in the show that Jack refused to travel back in time so he could stick around and save otherwise doomed people, like the episode with the astronauts. Clearly he didn't consider getting back to the past a goal worth sacrificing even one life for. Yet in season 5 he erases all of existence without so much as a thought? What a Trainwreck.

>Has the "uni-eye" design like Sonic or Knuckles would
>rounded nose pointing upward
>Naugus has neither of those features
That always seemed like such a cop-out answer to me. Maybe they meant it to be Naugus for sure, but that finale ending is such a troll if that's the case.

Attached: S02.png (400x350, 153K)

What is this referencing? I seen an episode of NewsRadio that had this exact ending, but I assume it was a parody of something else.

Nevermind, just looked it up, apparently it's the series finale of St. Elsehwhere
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Elsewhere#Final_episode

Double-fuck! It was already mentioned in this thread: I'll just stop posting now.

that is not dark or sad, is just a shitty cliffhanger of a shit show

why would a grown man pose as a scoutmaster to order little children around without adult supervision?mmmmmmmhhhmm....

Attached: 1553103448777.png (249x220, 71K)

I suppose the intended effect here is that, when he wakes up, he'll recognize his dream as being his actual reality, if his perception of what is real and what is a dream is the crux to the maintenance of the dream reality.

That's even worse

the whole lazlo finale just felt like they needed some cheap gimmick/joke to close the story, it made absolutely zero sense with how they built lumpus as a character.

i think i am more upset that he didn't kill future Aku you know the Aku jack had been fighting all this time it's such an easy thing jack finally kills the asshole who's been in his way forever and then gets to do a victory lap in the past

It's only bad if the character doesn't take anything away from the dream. They don't rethink something that had happened to them prior to the dream or consider the dream an omen of sorts to make them change. The problem with "all a dream" endings is that they get swept under the rug and forgotten about in the case of tv shows or in film the dream's impact is never explored even in in the last scene.

Could have been an error on the animators part. While that Sonic cartoon didn't have quite as many animation hiccups as the other one, it still had its share of fuckups here and there.

Do people seriously forget that it was ASHI WHO DECIDED FOR HIM? Christ alive, people, stop fucking acting like Jack was the one who made the decision all on his own and said "Later, fuckers. Not!" and hopped into the portal. Ashi opened it under herself and Jack giving him any real option.

Why would you want to see a show about an obnoxious kid voiced by Charlie Adler screaming and arguing with a girl played by Kathie Souce about regular kid crap?

True, but there they could probably find some workaround for Virgil. Either he somehow became younger by way of the timeloop shenanigans, or they find a good replacement. Steve Blum not too long ago displayed an incredibly deep voice that was almost spot-on to Tony's for that new Kung Fu Panda cartoon, he could fit the role. As for Tim Curry, pretty sure he's not retired, just not in the best of shape after the stroke. He did a few roles after the brunt of his recovery after all.

But it didn't. It ended with Jack ABOUT to fight Aku with an army of friends, but we don't see what comes of that.

I’m more concerned about the fact that the slug never noticed

>the little Mexican with the posh accent
Damn, after 20-odd years, I forgot how amusing that shit was. Though it's weird, I swear one of the bad guys was some super tiny dude, like barely even a foot, and that he was eaten or fried alive. Oh well, fucking two decades will do that to your memory.

You misunderstand.
I will shoehorn Clarence into every goddamn thread I can.
It's why I come to Yea Forums

Link's Awakening also worked because the reveal of "it was all a dream!" didn't happen at the ending. If it'd been at the end, then it would definitely have been a cop-out.

Depends. If the Nightmare and the other few creatures that screamed about their destruction in the end had still played out, it could have worked. But for sure if it was just "Thank you for awakening me, Link. Oh, and turns out this was all a dream! Goodbye!" that would have been pretty lame.

Growing up and leaving good friends behind even if you want to be with them.
Growing up and realizing that your old life is over, even if you loved it.
Growing up.
Not exactly dark but most of us can relate.

Nah, Bill, Phill, and Chris will bring it back sometime. R-right?

Gibs mega

>depends

The entire fucking game tells you in the beginning that your in the dream world

Well if the special ever airs / working at the comic shop till it closes

That's every thread, dude.

Surprised no one posted this yet.

We're talking about if the game didn't tell you, idjit. And it doesn't tell you in the very beginning, it's partway in when you're through with most of the dungeons.

Pretty sure hes just trolling by now, but damn his jokes are high quality

Alf got retconned into he works for the government as a secret agent in a stupid TV movie. Doesn't get reunited with his family though.

Total Drama: Dave is fucking dead, Amy and Samey just got forgotten about, Courtney never got to redeem herself, Duncan's rotting in jail, Zeke and Dakota are still mutants, most of the cast hasn't returned for another season, the list goes on.

Sure, it's connected to the most stuff, but if you look everything would have made it eventually anyway. And there are even more connections since that's been made.

That's not how it was supposed to end. hackslashmaster.blogspot.com/2014/02/on-early-tropes-requiem-unaired-final.html?m=1

Baldur's Gate had a small reference to a few of the characters, as hanging wall portraits.
They're all dead by then

This all

Wut? Okay I admit only seeing the 1st episode of the show but the previous max being some guy with a sword and stronger than the bodyguard guy looked like he might have some interesting battles. I'm guessing they find him later and he's what you describe?

I remember thinking to myself that the Big Picture Show WAS going to have a darker end. And goddamn, I can still remember the tearjerker I thought was going to take place.

How did Duncan end up in jail?

Not a series finale per se, but it still confused the shit outta me as a kid

It was just another Fib, come to cause havoc like the last one.

He blew up a villa with dynamite to prove he was still tough.

>making gayshit canon to cover an already shitty series
The ending was shit alright.

Speaking of Sonic and downer endings.

I never got into Lazlo but I might now just for that.

It was so they wouldn't get into trouble with Nick

Let's check years and see who ripped off whom.

dude, aquateen die in almost every episode, you cant take this fake finale serious.

yeah fake, because after that theres another episode that is the real episode, they joke about it

Literally the best ending possible

Don't just for that. The ending isn't foreshadowed in any way, so you don't need a show's worth of "context" to get it.

I think gunter turning into the ice king is more chaotic then evil. Simon wasn't really all that evil towards the end of his time as ice king. And even though gunter was orgalorb before he being under the magic of the crown rewrites reality to make him a specific being, the ice king, just like all of the crown's users.

But basically gunter the ice king wouldn't really be evil but rather misunderstood because of being chaotic, much like Simon.

Future gunter ice king might be in a period of being an antagonistic entity on account of how of what we've seen of it fighting jake's grandkid but its hard to tell who is the antagonist in their relationship.

hold on

My first thought after reading that. Very nice.

>Korra fails at everything for 4 straight seasons, making the world a terrible place and destroying the namesake of the entire franchise
>But then she bent a laser beam and had implied gay sex so it's all good :DDD
