>Literally all the Avengers jobbed to Thanks
>Carol has shown only she and she alone is powerful enough to defeat him
>Yea Forums seeths at this thought
Literally all the Avengers jobbed to Thanks
She felt a little too powerful at the end. Like the catharsis of learning the truth didn't feel relevant to what was holding her back. I enjoyed my time watching it tho.
Power levels aside, you can't honestly be stupid enough to think they would build up these characters for 10 years just to let her save everyone, right?
The Avengers must be really rude to job to such a common pleasantry.
I wouldn't think they would be stupid enough to build up likeable characters for ten years then introduce this wet fart before the climax just so the next phase has a female lead.
Thor coulda done it if he aimed for the head
Why did she wreck some poor bar owner's 2000 dollars jukebox for no reason, though? I guess it can be argued that she needed to steal that other guy's bike, but that was just unnecessary.
That's because Yea Forums is full of power-wank retards that think Avengers: Endgame is just like their Dragon Ball Super Broly movie and that the point of the movie is actually going to be a physical battle with Thanos. Thanos, the dude that has already won, and who physically fighting wouldn't actually achieve literally anything at all.
the great thing is that they never even made her go Binary. This was just regular Carol. Can't wait for Endgame to make her go Binary and throw planets at Thanos. What could he do? throw a moon?
Pretty much this.
Also, the Star Wars aspies need to vent at least 3 times a day or they'll stroke out.
We'll have this same thread several times a day til this one faggot sees Endgame.
they have to go back to 1943 after Carol kills Thanos.
You have to go back to Yea Forums.
>Thanks
phoneposter turn off your autocorrect
I swear it's DCfags pretending the Avengers work the same way as the Justice League, in which they need Superman to carry the whole team since otherwise they would job to every other threat.
Plus it's not like Thor wouldn't have been able to defeat Thanos right there and then, he demonstrably could have, but felt like gloating and acting alone. That's the fucking point.
Crude, but setting up the next thing is like 5% of every MCU film.
>setting up the next thing is like 5% of every MCU film
Except it was 100% of Captain Marvel since it was the origin of a character they had already made extremely relevant.
>He doesn’t know
Pretty sure if you can throw a moon a planet wouldn't be that much of a step up.
>already made extremely relevant.
>in a post-credit scene
>that she doesn't even appear in
>we will never see Capt use mjolnir to fight Thanos
But could he throw these assembly line films in the trash where they belong?[/spoilers]
She can't do that as Binary. Do you even know what the Binary mode is about or are you just shitposting, like this other dude who thinks a post-credits scene means she's going to wreck everyone's shit?
I can guarantee anyone who thinks Carol won't be the one to defeat Thanos are 1. white and 2. male, literally her whole purpose in the movie and why she was introduced now is to be the killing blow. Tony and Cap are more essential to the "reverse the snap" subplot. Thor will be her new sidekick ala Fury—Thor will have feelings for Carol, which she won't reciprocate because she's a lesbian.
>Implying Carol will actually be able to solo Thanos
But then where would you spend your hours?
shes going to be a deus ex machina in endgame and it will cement my hatred of marvel entertainment and the mcu
>cap dies
>guess iron man or thor will kill thanos
>cap marvel appears out of nowhere and kills thanos
fucking bullshit
>Fury calls on powerful last hope in Armageddon scenario
She's probably the most relevant character after seeing that film.
Thor can already kill Thanos by himself, easily.
More shitposters. Must be a slow night over at Yea Forums, because this is getting ridiculous.
So you aren't a white male?
>who thinks a post-credits scene means she's going to wreck everyone's shit?
Literally the most powerful character in the MCU user. From Feige's own mouth.
Yeah and I'm sure this is Feige's line of thinking:
>"We're keeping this movie under wraps while barely showing anything in our trailers so everyone is surprised at what we have prepared for them"
>"Oh and btw this new character is gonna be the most powerful ever, in the whole galaxy even *wink wink*"
He totally is gonna spoil the entire movie with a single remark in advance, because that's how this works.
I can't wait for the next super big bad whose not doing shit for 20+ movies shows up toward the end of Endgame, watches Thanos fall and talk about how much of a pathetic weakling he always was.
cap marvel has no business being in A4 at all, thanos is an og avengers villain.
Fucking your mom.
But Thor was fucking him up just fine.
>Say that someone is the most powerful character in the Universe
>Gets a film between the ultimate and penultimate film of a several year long storyline
>This totally doesn't mean they'll be super relevant guys
it probably won't be as easy as you think, Thor and Carol will be the heavy-lifters of the group and we will no doubt see some classic Avengers-esque combo moves from them. you can already hear the sort of quips
>Thor: We make a good team, you and I...
>Carol: Not in a million years pretty boy.
but she will give him a firm handshake by the end showing she respects him despite his gender and skin tone.
fuck carol and fuck captain marvel.
Why would Thor fuck the concept of gratitude?
I thought he learned to be more gracious after the first movie
>thanos is an og avengers villain.
>appears in Iron Man issue
>story continues through a half-dozen issues of Captain Marvel
>finishes in a single issue of Avengers
Does he still have the infinity stones or no? Because if he does he can literally delete her.
Assembly lines make everything better, its how literally everything is made.
i swear to god if carol defeats thanos i will drop marvel and sell all my marvel comic books
LOL what? This is fucking dumb. In Infinity Gauntlet they threw every hero they had at Thanos and he defeated them all, Avengers or otherwise. What's with all these casuals in here tonight? She doesn't have to be an Avenger to be in there, in fact the fucking GOTG weren't even Avengers and they were part of it.
Dumbass the fact that she's included means she'll be relevant, not that she'll resolve the plot nor that she'll beat the guy who demonstrably could have been defeated had ALL OF THEM worked together instead of going separate ways. In fact you had your fucking powerhouse in Infinity War craft a weapon and arrogantly proclaim "only I can defeat him because I'm strong enough to do this".
And then what happens? He fails.
The trailers emphasize the need for unity, when Steve says "BUT NOT US", repeatedly. This is intentional, but sure, it's gonna be Carol because she's kween and you need a reason to seethe in advance.
I was planning on being done with non-animated superhero movies after endgame anyway.
if kevin feige says cap marvel is the most powerful than you better believe she defeats him.
i want to see based nebula put on the gauntlet and captain america fight him
>if kevin feige says cap marvel is the most powerful than you better believe she defeats him
I see you don't even read and analyze what I'm saying but you're going by some words said during an interview and assume everything that's going to happen despite it being fucking illogical. Worthless to argue.
the best part about Endgame is when you're watching Captain Marvel be a total badass, probably being the biggest reason why the team defeats Thanos, you will know there will be a hundred Yea Forums white males seething in their own theatres.
Everybody needs to post how done they are with Marvel Studios again. And again. And again.
And probably a few dozen more times after Endgame.
Then they'll start over with Far from Home, because this is how they spend their lives.
im drunk as shit tb.h
You should go Alita-post on t.v. then.
>Dumbass the fact that she's included means she'll be relevant, not that she'll resolve the plot
Then what is the point of her being there again? Except to spoil a finale to a great series of films of course.
To be fair her movie was planned to be much sooner before Black Panther and Spiderman but kept getting pushed cause everyone thought Girl superhero was an instant flop,
Samuel Jackson was telling people Carol had time-travel powers too, and they were critical to the story.
People are just fucking with you.
>Then what is the point of her being there again?
What do you think, you idiot? She's a powerhouse and they need to set up the next generation, that's literally it, they need stronger Avengers and heroes for what's coming next. Jesus christ.
So you're just going to rage because she's in scenes in the movie, right?
Nothing will mollify you, so how can we be expected to care? Seethe on, my friend.
It's already been established that Tony is the key to defeating Thanos. Dr. Strange looked at future paths and saw one in which they win, and made a deal with Thanos to give him the time stone with the condition he spare Tony's life. Tony also survived the snap.
Hell yeah
I mean i know your being sarcastic but I really want to see Thanos Vs. Thor and Carol. All three zooming around the cosmos chucking black holes and white dwarfs at one another like snowballs. Its the last movie anyone will care about lets go full retard.
>So you're just going to rage because she's in scenes in the movie, right?
Since she's a mediocre and mostly irrelevant character with a shit actress who's been forced into the finale just so they can diversify their leads for the next phase, yes.
I'm not saying "This is bad how do we fix it" I'm saying "This is fucked why did they fuck it so hard"
Dont forget the hour long youtube vlogs, those are always a hoot
Can you promise me that when you officially stop caring, that not posting in threads about the next phase movies will be part of that whole "not caring" thing?
I really won't need your future assessments of what will be bland, forgettable or soulless.
>sell all my marvel comic books
I dont agree with you, but facts are facts no one buys comicbooks
>People are just fucking with you
I'd only hope if that were the case, but I get the feeling some of them they truly believe all this shit, because I can't fathom how someone can get so bootyblasted over an actress and a character this badly.
women don't care about gender or skin tone, its muscle tone that they respect.
id have thot ud have figured that out by now
no he's the key to undoing the snap, he's wearing the Infinity Armor and dies reverting everything.
To fight the SJW(L) they had to become the SJW(R).
They've tranformed themselves into a bunch of perpetually triggered ninnies because some perpetually triggered ninnies spoke out.
It's basically like a dick-sucking protest against faggotry.
her face looks too small for her head.
>people seeth at the thought of Captain Marvel vanquishing Thanos
>same people are fine with Superman defeating Lex Luthor
>or Batman defeating the Joker
>or Mario defeating Bowser
Gee whiz, I wonder what the difference is.
>they were critical of the story
No they weren't.
>LOL what?
Leave.
>How dare comics be comics
>look at how enlightened and above it I am
You fags are worse than the actual mouse shills.
You first, imbecile.
They were "critical" to all the dumbshit theories people were formulating in advance and how she was supposedly a Mary Sue because on top of all she had she was ALSO a time-traveler, which means she was supposedly going to bus all the Avengers through time and switch the Infinity Stones for fake ones. Because as we ALL KNOW this all hinges upon time-traveling and headcanon be damned, if the movie doesn't do what I THINK will happen, it's gonna be shit!
SLJ was totally joking btw, he said he came up with it on the spot.
People expect Endgame to be just like JUSTice League, where the heroes struggle against Steppenwolf in their home nations, band together to fight him, and then Superman just flies up and slaps his shit while laughing at his weakness, while pretending the other heroes helped some.
Basically Carol is supposed to be Cavillman, brushing aside the other heroes and making a joke of their contributions.
This is WB's sort of fuck-up, not Marvel Studios.
Captain Marvel will be fine in this.
She was fine in her own movie.
You went in so eager to be upset at it that it became a self-fulfilling prophecy, but who cares? You can choose to go, or choose not to, and whine continuously while doing either.
I'm sure if you go into Endgame primed to be outraged and triggered, you'll manage to be so.
It really doesn't matter.
Outrage mining, are we?
Difference is all those other characters have a long, established history with their respective revival and their triumph over them is all the more satisfying for not being a last second asspull. I know this was bait but fuck it.
>and their triumph over them is all the more satisfying for not being a last second asspull
You already saw Endgame, faggot?
The moon has the cross section of Australia. Do you find Australia that intimidating?
she's blown up planets before casual
>Can't wait for Endgame to make her go Binary and throw planets at Thanos.
>throw planets
>"here's a pic of her BLOWING UP planets"
You fucking idiot.
>can blow up a planet
>same energy as moving a planet
what the fuck are you on. or are you going to say Thor can't move planets?
are you actually retarded?
It's really not at all the same thing, a big enough asteroid could destroy Earth, but it certainly can't movie it off its orbit due to the forces involved. Thanos had to use the Power + Space Stones to move the moon because the energy required to change the orbit of a celestial body at will pretty much enters into the magic realm, regarding real life physics.
Hoping we get full-on Scarlet Witch versus Chthon in the Disney Plus series, as that's the only way we will get to see Wanda show her true power.
But everyone thinks they only need Thor now.
Thor wounding Thanos means the other Avengers are irrelevant, no matter how the Russo's try to spin it.
The math of it all does not add up.
Carol gets her power from ONE of the infinity stones. Thanos has all six infinity stones. Last time I checked, 6 > 1.
Feige never said Carol was stronger than Thanos with all 6 infinity stones, only that she's the most powerful character we'd seen, as of 2016, when he said it. Carol could easily be more powerful than pre-stones Thanos, but not Thanos now. Makes you think, huh? If she'd been on Xandar before he defeated the Nova Corps, she might have been able to prevent the whole thing.
It also makes you wonder what the fuck she was doing out there in the cosmos.
She sure as hell wasn't using them to end threats.
Ronan still rose to power. Thanos still rose to power. You'd think that, since EVERYONE knew about Ronan and Thanos that she'd have done something before the whole pager thing.
What was she doing? Getting mad skrull dickings while trying to find them a new planet?
>"Why didn't she show up everywhere and solve everything so I could complain about how OP she is?"
Space big.
Yeah but everyone knew about Thanos and Ronan's rampage was making the space news. Ronan especially killed tons and tons of people before even GotG1.
Thats the problem with this messy recon stuff.
She doesn't seem as OP as people make her out to be. Her powers only come from 1 Infinity Stone and all she did was fuck up 1 Kree ship in the movie.
Stormbreaker Thor fucked up a legion of ships and was able to overpower 6 Infinity Stones Thanos in Infinity War.
>She sure as hell wasn't using them to end threats.
Apparently she was, if the description of Endgame footage is to be believed. Rhodey asks where she's been, becuse they could have used her a couple times, and she replies that she's been out protecting planets in the universe, because not every planet has an Avengers. It's possible she knows about Xandar, but by the time she heard about it, it was too late. It's possible she's been making good on her threats against the Kree Empire proper, and waging a one-woman war against their expansionist efforts on defenseless planets. Would be hilarious if she was the reason the Kree Empire had to sign a treaty with the Nova Corps, because they were taking too heavy losses from Carol.
I think his point wasn't that space is too big to traverse, but that space is so big, there are millions of Ronan-level threats carrying out slaughter on innocent worlds. Hell, Ronan went Rogue, but the Kree Empire already is seen to do that.
yeah power levelwise she's the Thor of the new trinity.
I'm sure I'm wrong but I feel like Captain Marvel 2 is her bringing down the Kree Empire, set Ronan down the path to his role in Avengers, that kinda thing.
I also have a fan theory that they're gonna have Carol fight the Annihilation Wave but that's just because the rage on Yea Forums would be off the charts
>you can't honestly be stupid enough to think they would build up these characters for 10 years just to let her save everyone, right?
user, you don't understand how sjw disregards all that just to push their ideology/narrative. They really give no fucks about building a good story. Just look at how they threw thor under a bus or there's somehow a nigger ironman girl that's smarter than tony without any good backstory to it.
About that...there's some funny business with the Fantastic Four rights. Apparently Fox doesn't actually own them, they only ever sublicensed them from Constantin Films, the same company that bought them all those decades ago, and made the Roger Corman F4. Look at every F4 movie's credits, or their listed production companies on Wikipedia, and you'll see Constantin Films. So basically, the team and their associated villains like Annihilus aren't coming with the deal, it will be up to Marvel Studios and Disney if they want to make a deal, like Fox did.
as opposed to what? trannies and söy drinkers who fell for the mousejew's YAS QUEEN shilling they did for this movie and the massive cunt Brie Larson saying Carol the strongest being to ever exist in marvel?
So you're saying that that happening is an ABSOLUTE impossibility?
But she made him bleed his own blood. Nobody makes Thanos bleed his own blood!
Nice reference. She'd be the third to do that though. If the shot is actually real, his helmet's off, and it does look like the side of his face got a beating, most likely from Carol. Probably actually his left side, not his right, the sot seems mirrored.
That was already debunked long time ago when the deal was struck, they have all the rights (distribution and licensing), because it seems that at some point Constantin Films quietly sold them to Fox during or after Fant4stic.
Basically that whole shenanigans regarding the distribution is over, they can now use the F4 as freely as they want.
>user, you don't understand how sjw disregards all that just to push their ideology/narrative.
So who's actually making the movie, Twitter strawmen, or the Russo's? Please tell me.
>Thanks
You know I had this thought a while ago: The Chitauri's blood (and I think the outriders blood as well) appears purple, just like Thanos' blood. Do you think he used his own modified genetic material in the creation of his cyborg armies? Kind of like the Thanosi from the comics?
>they have all the rights (distribution and licensing), because it seems that at some point Constantin Films quietly sold them to Fox during or after Fant4stic.
Is there a source for that? I'd love it to be true.
I'm on mobile now but I remember there were articles explaining this back when the first announcement was made, specially since a lot of people were wondering whether Disney was gonna have to deal with Constantin. I'll try and look it up again.
Thought they were confusing her with Starbrand at the end.
They didn't explain the energy absorption power at all - and it could have been used to explain why she suddenly gained her flight and Binary levels of power when crashing back into the earth's atmosphere. Using the friction of re-entry into Earth's atmosphere is one of her party tricks to quickly gain more power in the comics.
What I seem to be finding is that Fox and Constantin have a long-term contract that Fox will distribute the films, and that that puts Disney in a very strong negotiating position in terms of the rights. That basically, Constantin would have two options: agree to whatever terms Disney sets or not make a movie at all, and let the rights revert to Disney anyway.
Did I imagine the MCU hinting Warlock at some point or something?
*Blocks your path*
Thor didn't job to Thanos though. He just didn't aim for the head, the big idiot.
Wouldn't have happened to his big sister.
GOTG2
she didn't need to, she stole it because he was being problematic
No they have a point. All these threads are about action scene logistics, and that's not really what these movies are about. (Or at least, not most of them.)
Probably true. It's interesting to consider how Thanos' quest for the stones might have gone if Hela had won, and united Asgard under her rule. Given the Russos have said that Thanos chose the timing he did based on his capture of Nebula, and having the Soul Stone almost within his grasp, it may be safe to say he would have still gone for the stones. But I think the order would be way different. There's no way he would have tried to take on Asgard and Hela with just the Power Stone, he would be more likely to attack Earth first to try to get the stones there, to increase his power first.
Thanos wasn't all the powerful in the movie anyways. The dude lost nearly twice and only managed to make it because Thor and Peter were idiots.
She was garbage and cancer in her own movie BUT I agree with you that Marvel will not make the Superman mistake. Especially since so many characters are retiring after this movie. They will get a nice send off.
You've never read a justice league book, have you? Hell even in that shit movie it's not the case
At this point I don't know.
Putting aside SJW arguments and memes, Carol is pretty obviously Feige's waifu.
And waifu will make a man do retarded things.
>movie will job with the box office
>trannies seethe at this thought
>Shitposters still thinks that Endgame is about Carol saving everyone
>Carol: Not in a million years pretty boy.
She would say something bitchy like that.
Yeah, for sure THIS TIME will finally be the one that bombs!
I would think at the moment the issue is they have no way to deal with Thanos's weirder powers. He'll be wary of Stormbreaker so the chances of getting another solid hit in would be very unlikely without someone new to distract him at least.
I don't want to say it ends in sex, but it might.
Kek
The chances of Captain Marvel delivering the final blow to Thanos are astronomically slim. Anyone with a sense of film knows the Russos wouldn't go that route.
>Thought they were confusing her with Starbrand at the end
>somebody else read Starbrand here
Goddamn Yea Forums, sometimes you make me smile.
fpbp
Carol is going to job. That's the only way Endgame will be redeemable.
Screencap this post, Carol will job, and Cap & Tony will die defeating Thanos. CM 2 will be about Carol dealing with her jobbing
Yea Forums seethes at everything these days though. It really has become a worse-than-Yea Forums shithole.
God I miss the old days.
I hope this is real
She seems more like a shootey blasty type than a flying brick.
If we already know that she is stronger than Thanos this will be a pretty boring fight
IF Thanos has his other powers without the gauntlet like cosmic energy absorption then he actually would be a threat to her
Well he is only dangerous in the movie because he somehow repaired the gauntlet and is fighting with it again.
If you go with the Superman argument that he is also OP then I have to say that Superman at least have some weaknesses like Kryptonite, magic OR someone is actually as strong or near as strong than him (maybe stronger) or he loses because the other uses deadly strikes or whatever when Superman is holding back because he doesn't want to kill and/or only kills when there's actually no other way.
MCU Carol is Superman-tier without any weaknesses, she doesn't have a no kill rule and Thanos seems to be weaker than her even with the gauntlet. Just think back when Stormbringer overpowered it, which was one of the most retarded things in IW besides Bruce yelling some cringy line when Thor arrives.
The only redeeming part would have been if the Stormbringer scene was that one scene that maked me think that Thanos wanted to lose subconsciously because he was still mourning about Gamoras death
Well at least that's how I see it.
