It affects the 20th Century Fox studios, which produces Family Guy. It'll become a Disney property. Fox network will continue paying a license fee to air it.

It remains to be seen what Disney will do when syndication agreements with Turner is up.

They don't let Turner air the Star Wars movies. Turner made the deal with Lucasfilm before they were bought out by Disney. Once the current contract expires, Disney isn't renewing it. Expect the same thing to happen with Family Guy and Bob's Burgers.

Then explain how the live-action Jungle Book movie ended up on TBS and CN.

That's because Disney are the ones who licensed the Jungle Book to Turner, so can air it on their own channels too. They're the ones who are making a profit from that deal, not a company that they bought out.

Disney bought LucasFilm and with it the distribution rights to all Star Wars films after the first (which FOX held in perpetuity for home media, having financed the original movie; this was not a problem for eg box sets because everybody's an adult and nobody's holding out on making some money for themselves).

Turner's deal with Disney was made in 2016, for the tv broadcast rights only, for $275m over 8 years (that is, Disney probably received most or all of the money by now, but Turner has to make back more than that $275m in advertising space before they'd part with it). Because advertising is a diminishing market generally, Turner are said to be resistant to selling back the broadcast rights, which Disney wants for its new streaming service, unless there's monetary compensation AND additional programming to replace the movies.

There was a Netflix deal for Rogue One and The Last Jedi, but that has expired and will not be renewed. Why that was possible when Turner also has the rights to broadcast those movies isn't clear, but it was apparently fine with everybody.

Turner not only has the broadcast rights to the Star Wars movies, they do broadcast them. But they think they're so valuable that they don't run them 24/7, because that would drive away the advertisers who are supposed to make the rights profitable. They'll most likely still be running them until 2024 when the contract expires, and possible after if Disney's streaming service doesn't take off.
