There's the new comic that just began last week, Cyberverse season 2, the Netflix show and apparently a console videogame is being worked on. That, plus the upcoming movies, speaking of which, someone should not allow Lorenzo Di Bonaventura to keep speaking:
>"The main Transformers movie we are working on is a reboot, and I will say that the Bumblebee sequel will be more directly linked to the timeline that we set up," Di Bonaventura told GameSpot.
>"I think Paramount should just pick the best script and release that first," the producer said. "I don't think there is a plan in terms of what movie comes out first, and I always think you should just go with the best script first instead of planning a franchise based on release dates."
>He went on to say that the Bumblebee sequel will be bigger than the previous one, despite the spin-off having had the smallest budget in the franchise. "It is going to bring Bumblebee into a bigger adventure," Di Bonaventura said. "What was fun about the first one was that we didn’t have to be beholden to the other Transformers movies."
>"The main Transformers movie we are working on is a reboot,
THERE. FINALLY. Was that so fucking hard?
Oh Gamespot. You're such a joke now.
Julian Ross
I really want to see what is done with the new movieverse now that the entire TLK thing just fell through, is it going to be a sidestory about individual bots while the main one focuses on the war on cybertron overall? shut up boco
I'm conflicted about the announcement that Bumblebee 2 is buddy movie with Optimus Prime, so what? Did the other Autobots die or something? Are they going to retcon the pods as Decepticons?
Daniel Bell
Maybe they just haven't landed on earth yet. or they are lost somewhere else and just need something like a extra movie to find the others
Nicholas Clark
I'll be honest. It would break my heart to see more dead Autobots. So, could we get Charlie for the Bumblebee sequel? Is she the new Spike? If the new movie that it's not the BB sequel is set in the present, what happens? Are we getting aged John Cena?
Andrew Brooks
Yes sir...
Wyatt Smith
>So, could we get Charlie for the Bumblebee sequel? assuming he meant "bee will get his own line of movies" rather than "we will make bee styled movies" i will say so, after all the ending only was like that because muh bayverse, but now that everyone who matters buried that verse it means they are free to become their own thing. >Are we getting aged John Cena? Yes, he really did seem to enjoy being in BB, so a return is not out of the question.
Isaac Evans
Cena will most likely be an ally of the Autobots. Maybe they'll rework NEST or rework Sector 7 into a pro-Autobot organization. What would you like to show up? Maybe the Decepticons get their own allies like Archeville or some humans rebuild Blitzwing to be like his 'classic' self with a dash of Animated Blitzwing.
Jaxson Watson
Before anything else i want to see megs, not the turbo changer, like how will megs look in his movie model. also i wouldn't mind if they brought back a punished shatter.
Joshua Perry
But she's dead. Lowkey, she reminds me of Windblade, somewhat.
I wonder if he'll be worth the investment. Devy is gonna be absolutely massive when it's finished.
Nicholas Cook
Yes, as both punishment and because shocky and scalpel couldn't be arsed to bust out proper equipment and only eyeballed it. really hoping mixmaster doesn't suck.
Christopher Moore
inb4 he has devastator's head dragging on his butt like the legends figure
Kayden Cooper
She could be a screaming madwoman that wants to tear Charlie to pieces, Bumblebee finds out and it's the perfect excuse to reintroduce Charlie into the plot.
Yeah that's the biggest fear about him, the second biggest would be him being the ROTF voyager but times 2. Exactly, add a seething hatred of her for mankind in general and being considered dead by the cons and you have the perfect plot for bee to have a reason to get back to charlie.
Connor Taylor
The best part is how depressed his head sculpt looks
He looks like he gets bullied by the other constructicons. Even Hightower gets more respect.
Could be a throwback to the Terminator movies mixed with Christine, until Bumblebee enters the picture again and they are on the run. Her life being in risk due to the Decepticons wanting her dead.
>i look nothing like i was promised >i'm hungry >my arms hurt >i can't get this head to shut up >my second head is hungry >why did i had to be the head, i'm not even the leader
Oliver Rogers
Do the movie-verse constructicons even have an established leader?
Austin Richardson
Supposedly it was Scavenger. Though, judging as how there are multiple Constructicons, I don't know. Maybe it's Scrapmetal for all we know.
Ayden Sullivan
>According to Ben Procter's concept art, Mixmaster originally had a friendly face based on that of actor Brendan Gleeson... and was apparently going to be an Autobot. The early head design was actually put to use in the Generation 1 Mixmaster-themed redeco store exclusive, as well as the Legends Mixmaster.
that still doesn't explain why the toy version looks suicidal
Elijah Young
Obviously the actors read them, but they are in the dark about what the movie is even about since they are given just bits and pieces. This happens when the movies get extensive rewrites. Obviously something like Bumblebee had the script mostly completed so there were no issues, but most major Hollywood movies are like that.
Landon Martinez
oh, i see what you mean now, and that's actually quite funny. however that means even when the movie tried to push charlie and memo together half heartedly everyone just went nah instead.
Levi Ross
The fucking epilogue. Man, he doesn't even show up. It's just Charlie driving all by herself and being happy.
Owen Bell
Maybe the toy itself knows it sucks outside of Vehicle mode and Devastator piece.
Carson Cox
Yeah, they were all on board with that ship at least, hopefully they will keep going with the BB reboot.
Connor Harris
These two are so cute. And one is a CGI conglomerate of parts.
>Wished they had more personality. The only one that I remember having any personality is Demolishor. His bio said he took care of smaller frightened Decepticons.
Michael Murphy
I meant in fiction, but I'll be damned, that's impressive.
Carter Baker
only a monster wouldn't
Robert Anderson
>yeah, not even her, I think she has a crush on him
Plus...maybe the tiny turbo changer is not the only thing, maybe they even did a Studio Series based on the design and the scene could help advertise it, as unlikely as it sounds.
Since it's a new universe, it can get repaired and fucking stay repaired, unlike the ending of the 07 movie apparently
Ethan Russell
3rd party chinks could do it if there was good reference of the cybertronian jet form.
Kevin Cook
>DAB ON THE HATERS kinda funny since the actor they picked was well received for the most part, I hope they do the same. The movie made him feel like a living character and not just a 'pet'.
Josiah Brown
>tfw Ratchet sucks at his job
Charles Nelson
Maybe the next movie will finally introduce Spike.
Enough with the fucking humans, you stupid motherfuckers.
Anthony Martin
Still doesn't change the fact that Charlie was the best human in a main Transformers property in years.
Nicholas Ramirez
Fem Optimus Prime.
Colton Nguyen
The movie goes meta for a bit and Optimus starts making comments about the franchise. >"Charlie you are so much better than the last guy, who doesn't even exist now because reboot. And that's not me giving you unwarranted praise, the last guy seriously did suck that bad. And Marky Mark wasn't that much better." >"You know Marky Mark?!" >"Bumblebee, I forgot this was 1989. What does Megatron turn into this time?" >*Bumblebee shrugs*
Good answer. I hope my boy Submarauder or any of the Decepticon Pretenders show up in any of the future movies. I'm aware this is Rippersnapper, I like sharks.
>No Beast Wars You know, I like G1, but sometimes enough is enough. OK, it's cool they are doing a WFC cartoon and the comic looks promising, not to mention Bumblebee being a hit so hard it got retconned into a reboot for the whole TCU, but I really want Maximals and Predacons to duke it out. Uprising wasn't enough while I will not forgive IDW what they did to the two in their previous Transformers series (aka: Primal and Beast Megs being Unicron servants). At least have them make shorts ala Cyberverse.
Naoto Tsushima Knows how to make fembots.
Kevin Kelly
No, that's Hayato Sakamoto, though I'm sure he must be good at drawing fembots as well. And yes, Beast Wars needs to return, that franchise is what revitalized Transformers in the first place.
I kinda like how transmetal BA looked, wonder if there's more art of her
Jace Harris
There's a few, that I'm not sure if I can post. But otherwise, regular Blackarachnia is the preferred one. Nice double dubs.
Anthony Ward
Are they all lewds?
Kayden Howard
Not exactly all of them, but Transmetals 2 Blackarachnia can be considered lewd by nature. I mean, her biggest claim to fame is her removable breastplate. It was a different era, a bold one.
Jaxson Diaz
>paint it blue >call it arcee and not chromia >not human sized and a third pretender alt mode to do human reconnaissance missions with Jack
FUCKING WASTE OF STORY TELLING, JUST MAKE A SHOW ABOUT PRETENDERS FOR ONCE
Juan Adams
Masterforce 2? Another Beast Wars(I actually want that, seriously)? What do you have in mind user?
Connor Nelson
Sideways did nothing wrong, Sideswipe just chased him down and murdered him.
James Flores
And then Sideswipe gloated about it. Even back then people were commenting that it was too much. The Shanghai Decepticons were never shown to be openly hostile.
Jeremiah Price
Chip Chase when?
You can even end it by giving him his Cybertronian furfag form.
David Murphy
Thundercracker confirmed as Jazz’s Decepticon counterpart.
Josiah Thompson
Nightbird needs to be more of a thing.
If you go with Atlas being Primus’s sister, she’s totally the first Earthitronian.
Cooper Barnes
Oh right, that. Wasn't that such a huge deal they recalled every BA?
Later, they obviously retconned they were evil, especially Demolishor.
Parker Young
Too bad it was terribly designed.
Her spider legs have nowhere to go and come off easy, she cannot stand up in any mode thanks to being heavy and having one of the shittiest gimmicks, and she has the worst case of giving up halfway designing a third and fourth mode without removing the excess parts of any figure. She has both huge empty gaps AND huge chunks of kibble with nowhere to go.
In fact, she’s a fucktastic mess that still manages to look great anyway. If you can prop her up with doublestick tape on her feet and leaning against other figures anyway.
But hey, she has a Spark Crystal that is reversable. Best gimmick made even better.
Chase Gomez
Well that's just prime, what a mess. ...that however means there's plenty of people who would want to just get rid of her
Brody Thompson
Annoyed Road Rage telling everyone to stop calling her Charlie even though she is indeed dating Bumblebee.
Noah Collins
He's not coming back after /tfg/ decided drawfags are worse than the titanium series.
Christian Foster
She’s usually rare to see, but you luck out because demand is usually low.
A year of ebay, seeing $60 ones get relisted over and over missing legs, and I got a complete one with very little of her metallization rubbed off for only $30+$7 shipping. Who is also the non-glued chest kind, even if it was stuck in super tight anyway. It completed my Blackarachnia collection, at least until the new one comes out.
She’s not a terrible figure overall thanks to her looks and the spider mode looking fine resting on its belly like a strange kind of tarantula. But she’s such a huge mess from an engineering perspective its like a toy version of Springtime For Hitler.
She even has fucking wheels, ones that they had to pay extra to make, which do literally nothing.
Asher Moore
She sounds like the kind of figure that is fun to have just because of how bad she is, kinda like an early energon prime.
Aiden White
Honestly, I’d call the faults just interesting trivia were it not for her complete inability to stand up as a robot in any way or pose.
If by some miracle you get one with stiff spider legs you can use those, but I think most never did to begin with.
>If you go with Atlas being Primus’s sister, she’s totally the first Earthitronian. It helps that she is a legit Transformer now.
Jackson Mitchell
Can it be fixed with copious amounts of bootleg stands? if not she'll be on her back all the time
Jaxon Sanchez
>In fact, she’s a fucktastic mess that still manages to look great anyway. That's still impressive anyway you cut it. I never knew she had so many flaws.
Luke Ward
>Mach Kick That would be badass. And she would put her Kabuki makeup to good use.
>worse than the titanium series. Can confirm, the other day I saw someone defending Titanium Rodimus and the line itself.
Henry Martinez
isn't titanium rodimus one of the only salvageable figures out of that mess?
Gavin Gray
And cheering on the fact that drawfags now avoided them.
Easton Lewis
>went from 192 posts to 187 Welp, mods are awake. No drawings for now, later
William Murphy
Complete list of faults: >Terrible “spin kick” gimmick. Works poorly and robs her of ability to stand unassisted. >Has parts for third vehicle mode, but cannot be used. Suggestion of intended hinges are solid molding, useless wheels and limb folding remain. >Third “mode” consists of folding spider shell down. Usually likened to a cacoon, others have suggested vampire cape. Slightly helps stability standing, but obscures most of robot mode so useless. >Loose joints. Pretty much all of them, although arms not as bad. >Produced in low quantities due to removable chest armor resembling a bikini and resulting toplessness prompting a recall. Can be restored anyway, and amusingly the result is having nipples. >Heavy, robot mode leaves large gaps in middle if viewed from above and no official unobsctructive way to pose spider legs. >Face mask looks oddly out of place >Spiderlegs easily lost
Pros >Show accurate >Rotating Spark Crystal allowing for allegiance of choice shown >Great alt mode >Beautiful colors, hardier vacuumization Most stands are probably to tall. Butthanks to her bulk, leaning her against things is easy. Like Quicksilver who is stable as hell like they intended it that way to fit the narrative.
They have poorly posed tfs+tamashii effects guy. They'll live
Joseph Gutierrez
Maybe if they combined the swarm and the KSI drones. Some opposing species that wants to eat Cybertronian, maybe include the Vok too.
Adam Brown
wait what? what was removed? i guess that works still going to be on her alt mode or back if i get ahold of one i'd say not for longer. just look at the mess that is going down there
Jason James
I like that guy, he inspired me to dig out random flame parts and whatnot from other toys I'd owned over the years for use in toy pics.
David Thompson
>poorly posed i'd say it's more an issue with the angles. any pictures you have taken with those? flame effects are the best effects
Asher Davis
I don't have any of those parts but now that the battle masters include them I may try getting into that.
Samuel Gray
It is, but that's not a low bar to clear in all honesty.
Joshua Rivera
How about
Owen White
None that I can post now, away from home for a few days. I took the pics of the two Windblades for these threads a few weeks ago though, and used a bit of cotton brushed with orange/yellow marker to simulate a small explosion. Looked alright enough at a distance imo.
Carson Watson
What got deleted?
Luke Torres
I mean, you are not wrong. when this abomination exists anything that doesn't fall to pieces would seem like a MP. i still wonder why they thought making the figures 30-60% diecast was a good idea. oh, that's a shame, it does sound interesting what you did.
I may. Though I only have a few. Windblade's head is great for gags. Honestly if seems that the only thing that fits are Titan Masters or Prime Masters. Maybe the odd minicon.
Liam Collins
>Matrix of 'Lead-ership' I love it.
Alexander Bennett
Nah, just pop the head back and stick a loose Headmaster in the neck for a picture.
The Soundwave and the Fallen are easily the worst, the Scourge is surprisingly decent for what it is (Titanium standards, obviously) and the Ultra Magnus would be nice enough...if it could stand over its massive weight.
So how many legacy characters (or at least legacy worthy) can be attributed to the Bayverse? All I'm coming up with is Barricade, Nitro Zeus, and I guess technically Bumblebee being a mute sports car. Maybe Blackout, considering his brief cameo in Animated?
It's GI joe megatron, user. yeah, that doesn't look bad really, heard they really chilled with the diecast, unfortunately they were just a little too late with it. and you can expect that when it's another exclusive. Quintessa.
Jack Morales
Megatron maybe. Prime Arcee? Dinobot Strafe and Slash?
Nice dubble dubs. Beast Machines, while still technically G1, did give us Strika. Animated has Lockdown, Lugnut, Bulkhead, Slipstream.. probably more. Prime + RID15 really only had Knock Out. Strongarm I'm all for, but she hasn't really appeared outside her cluster in a meaningful or noteworthy way yet.
Funny how most of these are either Decepticons, female, or both.
Elijah Sanders
>Strongarm I'm all for, but she hasn't really appeared outside her cluster in a meaningful or noteworthy way yet. I think she showed up for a panel in one of Roche's shitty Wreckers comics.
Jonathan Roberts
Airachnid showed up too, BUT I doubt Hasbro has any desire to revisit her soon.
Ethan Ross
>Quintessa lolnope except for the few people that argue Quintus Prime should be female. >Megatron >Arcee Already major characters dude >Strafe and Slash Definitely Slash if for nothing else then a million 'clever girl' jokes. Not sure how necessary Strafe is when you have Swoop.
Thomas Gray
She showed up too in the last issues of the main IDW comics. Mostly as a cameo, though.
Daniel Brown
oh, you meant altmode. can't think of anyone else if that's the case
Dominic Williams
Isn't Strafe what they called that stupid two headed dinobot introduced in that one Livio book?
Chase Lewis
She reminds me of Alpha Q, anyway she is more interesting than Quintus and we can't let Solus be the only female. Also fix Onyx, that Prime is never gonna live down what Shockwave did.
Easton Smith
I like Airachnid, but the issue is that she's an evil black and purple spider female while Blackarachnia is... an evil black and purple (or sometimes black and gold) spider female who has history of/interest in being a good guy.
There's really only room for one spider femme fatale.
Gavin Evans
That's an easy fix, though. Align her with the Insecticons.
Adam Torres
There's multiple Spider-Women though.
Christopher Foster
Yep, she was more of a dragon than a Dinobot. Kinda horrific how she became that, though.
Characters being unique is a fault with new stuff.
Lets go back to repaint rosters.
Jaxon Diaz
>yellow leader Camiens confirmed for cowards.
Leo Turner
I unironically love Scyllatron’s look.
Brayden Wilson
I'd be fine with making Quintus Prime female, since they're one of the few Primes with zero character and making them female helps balance things out slightly. Both Prime Airachnid and Animated Blackarachnia were connected with Insecticons. Hell, you could argue that BW Blackarchnia was too. The main issue is that both characters fit the same mold and thus can't realistically be used simultaneously, or it would confuse people.
Samuel Miller
Naw, Snarl is leader.
She’s just the alt chest for Volcanicus.
Nicholas Sanders
>Same molds confuse people
Fuck Gen Z.
Also, the main problem that can be used as an asset is BW characters are tiny.
They’d be Micromasters. Or better yet, Targetmasters...
Animated BA was related to the Dinobots, I meant Airachnid in the sense that she could be the fourth member of the regular Insecticons just like Slash and the Dinobots. Though Airachnid would be some sort of wild card since she turns into an helicopter and it's more likely bigger than the other Insecticons.
Jose Gomez
Grimlock: “SLASH, WHAT SPIDER-BOT DO TO YOU?!”
Slash: “ME SPIDER-BOT TOO NOW. FIGHT FOR PURPLE FACE SIDE. CALL SLASH ‘BLACKARACHNIA’.”
BW characters haven't been tiny since... Beast Wars itself! Blackaracnia, Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Waspinator, and probably more have shown up in newer media and toys being the same standard size all the other characters have.
Look, you don't have to sell me on Airachnid- I already like her and would generally be happy with her showing up in a new series again. But you can't have her cross paths with Blackarachnia, since such similar character archetypes wouldn't coexist but instead combine/have one subsist the other.
Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream manage to stay as separate characters in each new media they're in because they have different colors, different personalities, turn into different things, and generally fill different archetypes under Megatron as the story demands.
Yeah, aren’t they always finding spiders preserved in amber from the time of dinosaurs that are like identical to ones today or something?
Christopher Wright
Lorenzo Di Boneventura actually did say that BEast Wars is on the table, they're just figuring out how they could work it into a movie.
Dominic Miller
If we go with Maximal/Autobot Blackarachnia from the start they could work as rivals, especially if we prioritize BA's gold coloration against Airachnid purple coloration. Same as they are currently doing with Windblade and Slipstream in Cyberverse.
>But you can't have her cross paths with Blackarachnia, since such similar character archetypes wouldn't coexist but instead combine/have one subsist the other.
Besides the Spider-girl thing, Airachnid and Blackarachnia really aren't much alike. Airachnid was closer to rule 63Tarantulas than BA. Beast Wars Blackarachnia was a scientist, a shit-talker, and had ambitions of going off on her own but could never follow through and always failed to really go solo. Airachnid was more menacing, wasn't really a seductress, was a natural loner, had a sadistic streak, and had some sort of strange origin that separated her from the regular 'cons.
Blake Kelly
Oh, that'd be awesome if they ever bring back Tigatron; use the Japanese ronin interpretation of him with Airrazor as his apprentice, with Banzaitron and Nightbird being the ninja rivasl of theirs.
Jonathan Clark
>Nitro Zeus He hasn't shown up anywhere else.
Henry Morales
Eh, I like their romance too much.
Unless you make her an archer that’s just his junior and not the kinda creepy student/teacher romance. I think hawks and archers have symbolism in Japan.
Redeco Nightracer and Freezon from Wildrider and Breakdown.
Christopher Perez
I also said legacy worthy, mostly because Nitro Zeus's character archetype hasn't really been done for the Decepticons before, plus his name and appearance being so cool.
I mean, where are the big, burly, jock-type Decepticons/Autobots who are part of this war simply because it's great fun? Not insane murderers, not savage beasts, and not dumb, loyal brutes. Only other character that comes to mind is Nappa, specifically the DBZ Abridged version. Someone who loves fighting and loves smack talk.
Jonathan Nguyen
>Even if Nightracer isn't available they can always call her Nightra to be in the clear. Brilliant.
Noah Thomas
Not to mention him also being fitting for something else, with all the thinning done for most if not all seekers, having a super buff and heavy looking flying con would fit perfectly.
Brandon White
Like Lugnut but more sleek and with a grandiose personality. Has potential.
Nathan Miller
Yeah, add some big brother characteristics to him and we have a perfect G1 nitro zeus
Christopher Roberts
I'll keep the Headmaster gimmick, though, it's amusing.
Sebastian Rivera
that's what would get him the big brother instinct though, being overprotective of both his seeker brothers and his headmaster
Daniel Evans
I was thinking about Nitro being worried of getting his excellent body hijacked but yeah, that too.
Aaron Lopez
i mean sure, having a bit of a ego would fit on his character well. but that would of course be second to his seeker brethen, harm them or try doing so and you're dead. doesn't matter if he's headless he'll find you and leave you as a pile of scrap in the floor.
Ian Morgan
Big bro Seeker. I get it.
Grayson Miller
I've realized that since Drift first got a toy.
Jaxon Jones
Scaple, ironhide having big cannons, stinger,
Zachary Jenkins
Honestly, I just realized it. It's kinda mindblowing. And explains a lot.
James Perez
yep, fits well doesn't it?
Henry Moore
I like him better than Lugnut to be honest, Lugnut is kinda underdeveloped.
Jackson Morgan
most animated bots are
William Young
A shame really, plenty of great concepts.
Evan Williams
I heard about some theories that build off of rebuilding the three decepticons into a more accurate blitzwing.
Kevin Richardson
So he gets three faces like the Animated one and gains the ability to be a triple changer?
Nathaniel Brooks
and lots of insanity. at least it didn't turn out too badly.
Caleb Adams
>Cartoon tie-in >Comic tie-in >Movie tie-in Fuck, all we need is a vidya, a lunchbox, and some sheets and WFC becomes the face of Hasbro.
Colton Reed
They are working on a videogame, actually. Possibly it'll have to do with WFC as everything else.
Nathaniel Morgan
That's a way of putting it. >everyone involved did wrong by her
>faggots from the female tf general keep getting their threads deleted because they constantly post the same tired fembot pictures over and over and over >mods delete their threads now on sight >instead of staying on /trash/ they now feel the need to spam their shit in any transformers thread that shows up
nope, that was some roleplay fag who has a rotation of pictures they post. there's always one autist who compliments their picture spam and makes it look like roleplay fag made those pictures
Caleb Nelson
Well there's the thing, the last topic at hand seemed to be left hanging for now, so either a new topic is brought up like toys or we poke the local shitposter until he gets his ass banned again.
Oh, i think i remember seeing a review for that one. that one was like a beta test for one step transformations. miles better
Hudson Williams
Ooh, was it a good review? I kinda like this vintage G2 Transformers. They make me nostalgic even though I didn't really have any real Transformer growing up.
Evan Martinez
Eh, not really. Roadblock was interesting though
Eli James
He sure is, they even reused those molds in BWII for some Predacons, BWII was weird. Thankfully it's fully subbed now, I think I'll watch it sometime.
Ryder Collins
And it gave way to an equally weird toyline, it and BW Neo
Jordan Reed
I finally saw Bumblebee tonight. I'm pretty pleased with it. Charlie and Bee interactions were adorable. I want them both in a sequel.
Samuel Nelson
Dang it. My mistake.
Finally. I'm waiting for them to also make Beast Machines at least bearable or alternatively not mentioning it and going with everything up to T2 only.
I just want something of a Cold War style Beast Era where both factions try to normalize the situation, but there being troublemakers on both sides makes it all difficult. Also the Tripedacus council and Cryotek scheme and cause all kinds of shenanigans.
Brody Torres
Those were the best, I don't think it got weirder than that, maybe Car Robots. Especially the US version.
Connor Diaz
That would be the best possible Beast Wars movie, honestly.
Jason Gonzalez
It was my favorite movie of the season, it just felt so genuine. I hope Charlie returns in a future film.
Ayden Morales
Car robots was only weird because pf the roulette way of using molds, they pretty much dumped everything on it
Jonathan Scott
The problem with that scene is that it could fool people into thinking the movie is still connected to Bay's movies.
The Autobot brothers are weird as well, and yeah, everything was represented, even the Go-Bots from G2. Crazy stuff.
Wyatt King
Hasbro is doing their best to bury the Bayverse, aren't they? It's for the best, there's no use for still using that timeline. There's nothing to gain from that.
Jaxon Flores
Not to mention scourge being a straight up repaint of g2 prime
Isaiah Reed
I mean, lore wise you're right. But toy wise there's plenty of things left unused.
Ah right, but that's what the Studio Series is for. It sells quite nicely as well.
Hudson Garcia
And the Commandos being the G1 Combaticons. Towline and Mirage being from Machine Wars. Fortress Maximus (unrelased in the US) being well you know. The Predacon trio and Skybyte being Transmetals 2. And the American toyline gets even crazier, even including unreleased BM toys.
Jacob Fisher
Smoov aside, that's very wholesome. I hope they do a new Camaro Bumblebee based on this one. And well, that's since the ending of the movie used to tie into the 2007 film but they added this scene with Optimus as an epilogue. >Shut up, Optimus.
Christian Morgan
Bay designs always worked so much better toy wise, i'm still hoping devastator turns out well. Yup, they really didn't leave anything out
Jack Phillips
I miss the first movie/RotF aesthetic. All those guys that didn't appear at all in the movies or were just videogame mooks. That was cool, reminded me of Beast Wars.
Oliver Howard
Yeah, many of the best looking dudes were not in the movies at all
Justin Hughes
They forgot the mean of Transformers after the 3rd movie. Or just wanted to save money by not doing car transformations and such.
You could make another 3 movies minimum just with those guys. I hope they make a Studio Series Concept label for these guys.
Jonathan Ortiz
>What if cloud of nanomachines turned into a robot? Why? It looked very bad. Plus not even the Autobots transformed onscreen that much. Yeah, it was a very bad move and damaged the franchise.
Elijah Sanchez
Just straght rereleases would be good enough
Charles Bell
Did they really need to kill Cliffjumper? He was OG.
Jaxson Lewis
I don't think it's as easy as that. You know, price points, plastic yadda yadda. There's the Japanese toyline that does just that, though. Your best bet is getting lucky, you never know when you might find a good deal. These guys are plentiful and tons of fun.
Owen Fisher
Yeah, not to mention cheaper because lack of demand...unless their name is bludgeon
Jackson Jackson
Bay keeps wasting the budget on other shit.
>the military shooting scenes >that giant worm >the magnet in the 4th movie
instead of cool robots and transformations
Jordan Mitchell
No, they really didn't. Should have gone with Windcharger, he is notably less popular.
Could make him a different character from Bumblebee and kill him off.
It’d be like killing Transmetal Megatron to have Beast Wars Megatron being in danger have stakes, or Star Saber instead of Optimus. Having your cake and eating it too.
Christian Baker
Awesome. /tfg/ evidently shitposted itself to death over the movies while I slept, and multiple offtopic shitposts from yesterday morning remain despite reports. I realize driving people away from /tfg/ is exactly what the shitposter(s) intended, but I just do not want to waste my time there anymore as long as it's happening.
Aaron Rivera
Woah, don't kill Star Saber. Transmetal Megs can bite it, though. He breaks easily. Killing Goldbug could be shocking, since it would basically be Bumblebee until someone identified him as Goldbug.
Nicholas Anderson
One thing is ignoring it, another is having to endure most of posts having nothing to do the topic whatsoever.
Adam Carter
Eh, I usually combat that by discussing toys. They shitpost when there’s nothing to talk about and they respond to obvious trolls out of boredom.
On a related note, do we know when the holiday Botbots come out, and what are the chances we may see something like a kids comic or flash web shorts for them? I haven’t seen any TV commercials, but it seems the internet loves the little things.
Nicholas Hill
Last day I went to a supermaket which was full of botbots and now there are no botbots at all, are these that popular?
Bentley Ward
/tfg/ and Twitter seem to fucking love them.
A /toy/ user pointed out you have easy customs, collectability, low price point, and you can take pictures of many with a larger figure for some cute contenf to share.
James Garcia
Crap, I hope these are still there by the time I finish collecting PotP, I want in on the BotBots. All you said is true. They are irresistible.
Levi Jenkins
REMINDER THAT THAT HASBRO WILL PUSH THIS fb.com/watch/?v=1625292087540979
I am strangely okay with this, and I've never been a shipper of any kind.
Daniel Harris
>Turbo revving young punks these days, I tell you. Back in my day we only had Shockwave, you try kissing his face without kissing his optic, that's impossible.
Jason Brown
It's aesthetically pleasing for starters and it works in several ways.
Hit the nail on why is it liked. >Fem Starscream is hot.
Jordan Powell
>Things are supposedly hard for the Autobots. >Decepticons have a far higher mortality rate. What did they mean by this?
Julian Garcia
You made me check it. and boy were you right. i'm going to bet that the second BB becomes even slightly sucessful all the bayfags in the thread will suddenly pop out of existance
Blake Davis
The decepticons suck at aiming
Jayden Reed
It opens in Japan in a day and a half, I have a feeling it may end up very succesful. >They like cute girls, robots and the eighties, right?
Ian Torres
It all depends, is anything else going to open as well? if they have free house it's going to be a hit.
Venom did okay, but it could have been a bigger hit if it wasn't for Bohemian Rhapsody which did absolutely insane numbers. Hopefully Bumblebee has a chance if there's no competition.
Joshua Young
did they do a stormtropper transformer? again, what is going to be alongside it? did aquaman and spiderverse hit and left already? if so they have free house
Matthew Martin
I have a Clone Trooper one who becomes one of those weird multi-wheeled transports from the prequels, and a Mace Windu/Starfighter. I'd presume there's a Stormtrooper one too.
Luis Myers
Not really, as if you needed proof that SW Transformers could be even more retarded in execution. I think Captain Marvel could be competition, but frankly word of mouth could help Bumblebee. I hope.
Easton Bennett
are you for real? that was like the biggest no brainer i can think of, and a am going to hold judgement since i don't know how well recieved was the trailers there. but if that's all i think we're good, better than going against 3 blockbusters. eh, that's decent enough.
Connor Martinez
I checked, Clonetroopers only, no Stormtroopers, the only Stormtroopers are included with Darth Vader and are miniature TIE fighters.
Caleb Lewis
That's weird, I wonder if the line just puttered out before they could get to them or if they were only ever gonna focus on prequel stuff?
Jonathan Flores
There were some OT releases like the infamous Millenium Falcon, but for the most part they focused on prequel stuff. It was the hottest thing at the time. Still, that's insane, it's the easiest army builder ever and easy cash for Hasbro and Lucasfilm. My guess it's that it was mandated because I can't think of a single good reason not to release a Stormtrooper figure.
Man, a TIE fighter/Stormtrooper would've been fun if engineered decently. Sadly most of them weren't, though I did sorta like the little Legends Anakin/Starfighter one though.
You'd think it would be too easy to just skip, but somehow they did it. but when you think about it the crossover line was retarded from concept alone so it checks out
Carter Gray
Yeah, the smaller ones were decent enough, wish I could have gotten one of those. And Ahsoka, she was made back when she was a pretty unpopular character so I wanted her just for the novelty value. I think I never ever saw her, probably they skipped the wave. It's not a retarded concept, really. Lots of play value. The issue is that the engineering was done by Hasbro instead of Takara, so it's not even close to the level of the usual transformers. At least they weren't the Marvel crossovers, now that was dumpster fire.
Josiah Sanchez
I mean, the concept of using HUMANS rather than the vehicles was the bit when it got really stupid. that's what i meant, and wasn't the engineering also done by the team that knew little to nothing about transforming figures to begin with?
Noah Baker
I'd have to check that because, honestly, comparing a Titanium series to a SW crossovers is like comparing a Liefeld to a Rembrandt. Though they did away with the pilots in later waves, though the text blurb still identified the vehicles as mechs. I'm split on what to think about it, to be frank.
no, that's not it, titanium series was not made by any transformers team, it was made by the micro machines team.
Oliver Roberts
And it's the stuff of nightmares. Is as if all the mean things they call the Go-Bots were true and they applied them to Transformers. It's like if someone got a monkey paw and asked for Die Cast. >So you wanted Die Cast, huh? How about this?! Look at that Soundwave, Jesus.
Kayden Rogers
Or again, the abomination that is that megatron. at least you can do this with soundwave, that megs has literally nothing going for it. hell, it nearly killed titanium series as a whole from shelfwarming too hard
Know how when you crunch the numbers, redshirts statistically have a better survival rate than goldshirts?
That. In reverse.
The remaining Autobots are clever, powerful, or hardy. But the Decepticons have way too many that can be fairly classified as “too stupid to live”.
They also teamkill, a lot. Very few Autobots do that.
Adam Hall
>one single toy kills an entire line I mean, it has happened before but that's like the worst a toy can suck.
Jackson Gonzalez
Apparently Star Wars had a lot of restrictions on what they could and couldn’t do. So the SW Transformers sucked.
It had to be the character who rides themselves for example since it couldn’t be a Hasbro character or an OC. All to keep copyrights nice and simple.
Evan Bennett
That's how bad it went, it's pretty much the worst transformer ever made. some others do suck and suck badly, but no one can have the claim to fame to have nearly killed an entire line by themselves alone. that doesn't really explain why they couldn't have done a stormtrooper
Luke Peterson
I guess it would have been a generic instead of a named character?
Notice how its Commander Cody and not a generic clone.
Isaiah Barnes
if anything that should have made it even easier.
Jace Howard
They didn't have any prominent 'named' Stormtrooper at the time and I don't think they did any character from the comics. It was a dumb rule.
Juan Sanchez
the easy way out was just to repaint one as red and pretend it's a new important general. or something.
Levi Rogers
No OCs though.
Christian King
that's really stupid. well at least hasbro is not to blame for it that time
Daniel Cook
There was barely any Decepticon left alive by the end of the series. They were truly inefficient.
Eli Lewis
They should have done a special rule for Stormtroopers in hindsight. And apparently Clone Pilot, Battle Droid, TIE Pilot, Magna Guard, Shock Trooper, Clone gunner, Y-wing Pilot count as distinct characters but not the Stormtroopers.
Jason Ross
So we have a canon Shockwave repaint with a name from an animation still.
Roberts wrote Megatron as a combination of Marx and Stalin, except Stalin was moreso brutal than charismatic or idealistic as Megatron seemed to have been. So who would be a neat parallel Decepticon for Stalin? Doesn't have to be a leader, just in terms of personality and potential f-for my fan-fiction
G1 Starscream maybe? IDW's one was charming, cunning, and charismatic... Straxus? But he was pretty clever too..
I'd say Deathsaurus, too bad about the dumb name. Skyquake would be neat too.
Oliver Butler
>Deathsaurus isn't charismatic >has a dumb name If it weren't for Yea Forums's global rules, I would have executed you long ago. Don't bully my robo chicken
>Skyquake G1 or Prime? I haven't seen Prime, I'll look into both.
>Skyquake in general is great but underused I got like 300 Kreons, I haven't made one for him though, I think. I should get on that. Did you have his toy or something? >a pathological hatred of anything and anyone that is not 100% pure evil This is so edgy but he sounds actually terrifying. >I prefer Deszaras Ok, fair enough, friend. I was literally watching Communist history vids and fondly remembered this movie. Who'd be Beria and Khrushchev, then? This is getting a bit confusing..
Nope, I'm just fascinated by Decepticon leaders that are not Megatron and his design is very cool. The mold was actually reused for Machine Wars Starscream which is more well known. And I feel bad about Prime Skyquake, one of the worst cases of 'hi, then die' in recent history. The only one worse is Maxima. Poor, poor Maxima. At least Skyquake got a toy. A Kreon collector and customizer? Very cool!
Yeah, its good. Found out about it from Nick Hodges.
Jose Adams
Just one day and a half and we drop Bumblebee on the unsuspecting Japanese artists.
Christopher Cook
Maybe it's just me, but if Rewind's the one with blue optics, I prefer it if Eject had yellow optics (much like how I'd love to see more yellow-optic Optimus).
Tyler Murphy
>fascinated by Decepticon leaders that are not Megatron Me too! I thought I knew/made most of them by now. >one of the worst cases of 'hi, then die' in recent history God I wish that were me >Maxima Isn't that the lady from Machinanima whose VA was actually excited to be part of the continuity? So sad... >A Kreon collector and customizer? Very cool! Wish my phone still worked so I could take pictures. Deathsaurus was one of my favourites that I'm proud of. I've just been parts-swapping with other Kreon pieces until I get something semi-passable, no paint or 3D-stuff because I'm a purist who doesn't trust my hands. I-I'll post pics sometime this year if anyone's interested.. >tfw 300 figurines and don't really play with them anymore, just think about the cities' economies and religions, as opposed to swooshing the dozen or so I had around in my dorm years ago
>Tarn for Beria probably I'm really trying hard to wrap my head around this, but there's so many layers and idk what's scarier, DJD in-universe or the Soviet regime in-our-universe.
Found out about what, Skyquake or the Death of Stalin?
Noah Hill
be warned /tfg/ is probably breaking down for good so if you see a spike in shitposting it's them
Well, Skyquake is not the REAL leader, but since the actual leader doesn't exist, Skyquake it is. And yeah, poor Maxima's VA. Make a toy of the poor thing, that's too cruel, seriously. Kreons are so cool.
Alexander Turner
user you are a silly little child.
Xavier Barnes
i know actually half of /tfg/ is already here, just saying if limit is reached in record time
Liam Rogers
be damned we should try another one. About the Bumblebee deleted scenes, there's enough material.
Matthew Scott
Marvel UK letters page, I think
Thomas Scott
let's all talk in spoilers like the fags we are
Nicholas Russell
>the actual leader doesn't exist Huh And yeah, she must have been disappointed. Iirc Maxima was a repaint of Windblade or someone, a toy would be neat, so sad. >Kreons are so cool I want to treasure you forever, user. If you had rabb.it or something, you could be the first to see my eventual maybe pics some day!
That (You) was actually for me, my grammatically challenged user.
I just wrote that quickly because of what happened down there. figured something must have been wrong. no u
Landon Garcia
why is kickback so smug
the insecticons always get shat on in everything despite having massive potential and cool abilities
Adrian Price
I'll try making one, come during the weekend!
Dylan Reyes
If they ever introduce Overlord in a new continuity, instead of him being a sadist, he'd more of the overconfident bully type, and be incredibly condescending.
>Overlord: You should let me deal with the world-domination schemes, Megatron. You? You just sit back in your little chair, while I take care of your mess for you.
Asher Howard
>Trypticon If you get a good one it's a nice thing. >Third overlord Are the other two Hasbro or Takara?
Owen King
You retards are predictable, no wonder your drawfags abandoned you >posts old art from phone >"cute/that's cute" >"THANK YOU"
>"is anyone here?" >"yes, i am! Teehee!"
Matthew Russell
Hasbro, someone’s eBay’d Takara custom out of a Hasbro.
I’m considering a KO of the Takara one off AliExpress.
Huh I picked up Bombshell bc /toy/ said it was good, missed Kickback because of whatever reason, even though he looks the coolest. Didn't pick up Shrapnel because I missed Kickback. I'll end up getting them both at TFcon aren't I... >tfw not a single smug Bombshell pic or even one at all
Can't I fucking like a drawing of PE Aranea? Jesus.
Jace Brown
Not a Kreon, an account. Though that would be awesome. Something to consider. Also I think Nippon Yasan still has cheap LG Kickbacks, but be wary because NY.
Brayden Martinez
pay no mind to him.
Jack Gutierrez
Go back to your little trash hugbox
Lincoln Hernandez
since it's limit i'll humor you, have this (you) now slither back to Yea Forums or /tfg/ to try and stir shit up there, it's likely you'll have more sucess there than here.
Wha? You should make your own Kreons, I'll give you some pointers. You just gotta have a rough idea of what colour scheme/face/torso you want, and snag them if vendors are posting them online for cheap. >cheap >LG I'd also get bothered bc the Insecticreeps would be from different companies
Alright I'll try that sometime! And well yeah. Though it isn't that noticeable with Kickback, really.
Carter Anderson
i'd say no, we're 2 days away we'll have enough time for them on the weekend. i'll pay attention to him, so what's a good toy of him that still can be bought easily?
Gavin Nelson
YEAH. Who's your favourite? You should start off with your favourites. My go-to was Ultra Magnus from an Inferno that I kept changing, but still retains the original body/helmet. I can probs make a better one but I'm still too fond of him to dismantle/replace him. >notice I'll always notice. Half my toys have defects that I begrudgingly accepted bc I forgot to return/exchange them. But I feel bad about sending them somewhere else instead of accepting them for who they are(??) Am I insane?
Good boy~ The TR figure is p kino imo. Yeah he has big shoulders/arms and the spoiler isn't as prominent, but it's still very fun, and a lot of his friends are in the same line. Animated Rodimus was nice as well, although he's Sideswipe-y in terms of being a top-heavy jock. The inner bot from the PotP line was good I've heard, just the combined form has a huge backpack. There's always the Kreon though.
not so much into the lego ones, but i heard good things about the TR one.
Adrian Thompson
Not really, if you get another one to make up for the one with defects then you have spares. And I honestly don't know. I'll think of someone.
Hunter Cooper
If you like spending money, the Takara Rodimus looked pretty excellent. TR Hot Rod goes for cheap in some places as well. I fell for /toy/'s tricks and didn't pick up Blurr/Rod/Kup in time, ended up getting the latter two at cons, warming up to Blurr now. All Hasbro versions bc money.
>spares AAAAAAAA There's a used Rod going for $10 in my area, I'm slightly tempted though. >I'll think of someone. Let me know, friend!
So, assuming Maverick was the real deal and he did make any drawing, should we still wait until the weekend?
Jason Lewis
For sure, if you keep coming here. Or are you at /tfg/ too?
Xavier Lewis
I usually lurk there, keeping an eye out for toy news or reviews. There was a fembot thread on Yea Forums for a while and that went over my head. I drop by and keep open transformers threads on Yea Forums when they're going on though.
Yeah, this thread is kinda the spiritual sucessor to those. We usually have them every weekend though we skipped last weekend. It's very likely we return this one.
Liam Turner
eh, it will show up eventually, guess i should be getting him then. well, this one was a stealth thread, it was to see if interest was up again since the last one lasted all weekend and didn't even reach limit
Gabriel Lee
You really are desperate for new art
Sebastian Bell
A successor to the waifuposting? I want normal wholesome discussions...
>eventually Are you living in the past? Or a place with shit distribution? My heart goes out to you, friend... >inb4 Canada gets shit distribution with the last few waves >again
If this was Maverick I want Rodimus If this wasn't Maverick I still want Rodimus
Not so much that, really. It's just I wanna see the end result.
Ryder Torres
Where is that figure from? It’s awesome!
Angel Russell
no i meant i will look into it eventually, distribution doesn't matter online. Potp hun gurr
Charles Evans
Ahh, I see. Roddy might end up with some lip bump/hickie like on mine, but if you love him enough you'll end up overlooking it >scratched the tip of Kup's nose >someone on /toy/ recommended thinking of it as a scraplet bite + war story It worked out in the end. 20+odd years of playing with toys, and mother's "just think of it as battle damage" comment worked out. Still hate the siege battle damage paint though. Here's a thing from /toy/
>Wholesome discussions That's kinda the intent, really. We just had that as a filter. Though better stay off /trash/, really.
Camden Evans
My life is /trash/, going to bed but hopefully there's a new thread tomorrow. I'll post some more Kreons that aren't mine and list some parts for mine maybe
Good night
Lucas Wood
Goodnight!
Ryder Wright
yeah, battle damage is only fun if you do it yourself. and i had worse cases of loose joints, i'll live. i mean, that's not a bad place, but the wait to next thread would be 2 days at most so.. rest well
Christopher Stewart
Well, should we rebrand into a general after all?
Joshua Parker
only when cyberverse stars airing again
Evan Collins
Well, shit. I don't now. Let's see how everything turns out, though next week comes another issue.
Ian James
which is?
Oliver Young
Transformers #2? It's supposed to be bi-weekly isn't it?
