Fanboy & ChumChum

Is it just me, or is this show slowly becoming more accepted? Every youtube comment I read says "I grew up watching this" or "I loved fb&cc"

It's secretly kino but everyone hates it because it has gross out humor.

>secretly
No even then it was shit. It's like TTG, either you like it or hate. I weathered it till I just got sick of it.

It could be pretty funny at times. It knew what it was.

It follows the 00s Nickelodeon pattern of "the first season is abysmal, but gets better with each season". Jimmy Neutron, Back at the Barnyard, The Penguins of Madagascar, Fanboy & ChumChum, etc..

It doesn't even have that much gross-out humor though. I honestly can't see how the same people who revile this will go on to praise something like OK KO since the style of humor is pretty similar.

I always thought the lighting and textures looked nice

What was wrong with Neutron, Barnyard, and Penguins?

It was shit but at least it had a soul. It was one of the last Nick cartoons to have one.

haha, if this show ever got a porn parody, i bet it would be called Fuckboy & Cum Cum heehee hoho

Absolutely nothing, those were based almost the whole way through and are some of the best CGI cartoons I've seen.

The show worked because it was stylized, boarded and animated as if it was a 2-D cartoon.

The show didn't work because there was only 12 characters and half as many sets. The limitations became apparent after a while. Plus the stories were too simple (and the characters too loud) to appeal to adults. It ended at the right time.

The protags were enraging little shits and it was nice when this guy wailed on em. Show should have been about gamer guy and the dude who worked with him.

>That ep when those fucking fags erased his saves and high scores

I remember it has some unique effects, like the bodies and facial features would subtly stretch to better depict emotion like it was a 2d cartoon.

I like the artist, even in 3D. Very Psychonauts.

Show would have looked a LOT better if it was 2D.
I liked the side characters more than the main oned. Some of the episodes with Comic book guy or that Harry Potter kid are the ones that I remember liking more.
The other two guys at the frosty store were ok too.

Youtube comments for stuff like that are composed of people who actually liked it for some reason.

That is unless the comments for the opening on the Nick channel were disabled.

Also shoulda been 2D

The zoomers that grew up watching it as toddlers are now old enough to use the internet. It's not so much that it's more acceptable. I know my siblings loved it and I could never figure it out. The pacing of the show was horrible, the humour always fell flat to me and the characters aren't interesting. A little kid will watch anything you put in front of them, and now they have nostalgia.

most nicktoons from the 00's and 10's deserved better

Reminder that nick turned down Adventure Time for this shit.

A wise choice imo.

>Remembered back in the days when there used to be YouTube rant video's on why modern cartoons suck.
>Fanboy & Chum Chum were always mentioned in those videos.
