I remember reading a few of the mythadventure books when I was younger. Nothing but puns as far as the eye could see. It was great.

>Mulching is a process of inbred fertilization which employs certain decomposed organic materials-- including, but not limited to animal sediment-- to blanket an area in which vegetation is desired. The procedure enriches the soil for stimulated plant development while, at the same time, preventing erosion and decreasing the evaporation of moisture from the ground.

he who lives by the strangulation, dies by the strangulation

I've read through multiple Usagi storytimes before, yet the stories are so good it never gets old. Thanks a bunch OP.

Even though we have an official voice for him now, I will never unhear Jei with the voice of Christopher Lambert

Great read. I've never read usagi before and now I've wasted my time with the other volumes.

Thanks op

Oh hey, nice.

So anything new on that cartoon?

I've always imagined a voice like James Avery's shredder for Jei, but I haven't seen the 2012 episodes yet

NO WAY

Dharmanon, you're back! Good to see you again, man.

Haven't heard anything, but I assume it's on production which will take a while.

Meanwhile, new comic series starting in April and Stan teased Sasuke coming back, so we're in for a wild ride.

Oh, I've been around. But it's good to get back to my roots

>Sasuke
Neat. That guy always makes for a good story.

>After I execute you, I'll kill myself then join the gods!
All usagi has to do is die and he could prevent so much suffering

Has it really been a year already? Bloody hell.

And of course I missed the first two parts of the storytime. Piss.

This is one of the saddest moments in Usagi's history, but a lot of people forget about it - even though it is the first truly depressing story in the entire run.

The mad lad at it again with the storytime that takes like over a month to do.
Godspeed you beautiful man with too much free time.

I know, it's terrifying how fast times flies.

The first time I read Usagi this was the first moment I realised this series could be truly outstanding. That and this page a little later.

bump for new readers.

'Flies' is a serious understatement when it comes to passage of time. During the last Usagi sorytime I learned I'm gonna be a father and now my baby girl is smiling at me while I'm writing this post.

But back to Usagi - what do you guys think about Stan leaving Dark Horse for IDW, their upcoming Usagi issues in full color and the plans to colorize all existing issues?

Congratulations on the kid, user! As for coloration, Stan's been working with B&W for decades. With only a few examples of his work in color,I don't know how good he is and then scenes like are very well done with the limitations of no color. Colorize it and the lines may not look quite right. Maybe. It'll take some getting used to, but I'm not strictly against it.

Congratulations, user!

I've lived though the worst year of my life in 2018, and seeing the story time up today was strangely cathartic. Everything passes with time, I suppose.

I have mixed feelings on colourising. I don't mind new issues coming out in colour, but I'm not sure if the old issues aren't nicer in black and white. Stan is pretty much a master in black and white inking, colour does not necessarily improve that type of art.
I own almost all of Usagi in black and white anyway though, so it doesn't really effect me as I can always read my own collection.

Do we know if it's Luth coloring?

Usagi is back?
SUGOI

Teaser pic Stan posted a while back. No clue what those things are.

Attached: sasukeventures.jpg (599x281, 101K)

Nurglings, obviously.

The new ones? Yes (and that's good). The old ones? No idea.

>Usagi cartoon
IDW's site says it's "in the works", and since they are Stan's current publisher we can assume all is moving forward.

I can accept they will simplify the story and change things a lot, but I hope Usagi will be allowed to cut down some asshats from time to time.

!

are cooks just all the way on top on the social ladder in this world?

I mean how come nobody steps in when this guy destroys the steps up to the watchtower? Or even when he CUTS DOWN A TOWER IN THE MIDDLE OF A CROWD?

Looks like goblins. There are creatures like that in pacific islander mythology.

Hes a big guy

Huh. I never noticed them before.

4th time reading this and someone had to point it out to me to notice.

They've got a reputable Euro studio making it, so I have hope.

The cameos I know about:
- Calvin and Hobbes
- Dream from Sandman
- Sergio, Mark and Stan
- Godzilla (twice) and other famous kaiju

Anyone has more?

I always thought Ishida was a Columbo reference, but Stan said he wasn't.

Attached: usagi vs wolverine.jpg (640x480, 82K)

He doesn't talk enough about his wife to be a Columbo proxy.

Toad Oil has the Three Stooges.

I don't think I'll have time to get through the whole volume today, So i'll just post what I can in here. Nice to see the threads busy again! Hope you're doing well, everyone.

Don't forget Tom Luth in that shot with Stan, Sergio and Mark. As well as Groo's various appearances.

We should keep score and take predictions for how high the dead horse count will be at the end of the story time.

Well, it's probably easier to stop a person from leaving when they're doubled over on their hands and knees. Kinda makes entering it a perilous move, though.

I still find it a bit weird how there are some humans early in the series and then none.

Attached: RCO111_1471140881.jpg (1800x2700, 1.25M)

early series had a lot of variety. Tokage ha little fins and spikes, there were lizard people running around. Some of it I can understand, because it there's a (non-mutant) turtle running around then maybe Kappa aren't as special

Remember to add one dead horse for Dark Horse, which is bleeding properties and recently lost Usagi to IDW.

>If you don't make it, can I bang your sister?

>when you see it

See, go in on your hands and knees, get chopped to bits.

I was surprised at that since DH was making all those nice Saga editions, and I didn't think IDW was in a position to offer Stan a better deal. Anyone have more info on this?

Aw here it goes

should have just shut the gate and locked it. What are they going to do? They're in prison!

Man I fucking own this book and I never noticed it.

Dark Horse lost a lot of licenses in the last few years, stopped making enough money, had to cut costs, lost more properties and it all spiralled out of control. Of all their money makers, they only have Hellboy now.

Yikes. I had no idea.

Oh, and Disney buying Fox apaprently screwed with their Alien and Predator comic deals.

So yeah, DH may not be dead yet, but apparently it has life expectancy of a horse in an UY comic.

Right in the feels.

Thanks for the storytime user.

Thanks

Nooooo!

Weren't they the ones paying the guy who did Cadillacs and Dinosaurs to NOT make any more
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs? Because I'd really like to see more Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.
