Theme Park Thread

This shit was aged the day it came out.

Why not move Boop to Studios proper and redo the entire thing as Nintendo Land?

Speaking of being dated the day that it came out...

This needs the "Are you out of your fucking mind?" caption.

Is the Marvel character dining worth it?

Yeah it is an marvel land is stuck in a surreal late 90s early 2000s aesthetic forever

I wouldnt think so you can meet them all normally during the day

Making a ride shitting on the crappy retool that came immediately before it was cute for a couple of years, but stopped being fun the second the rumors of Imagineering wanting to do an Imagination 4 started coming online back in 2006.

Where's that from?

At the end of the path that used to link Cars Land to Bug's Land.

Huh. That's neat.

journey into imagination was amazing before they competely raped epcot because the french fucked up disney's bottom line.

>mfw going to disneyland 2 week from now
>mfw everything is getting reopened just as we go.
shiiiieeett.

gonna be a rex droid

So, how about that new Mickey Mouse ride?
>inb4 muh great movie ride reeeeeeee

Willing to give it a shot, but it's gonna be really overshadowed by Galaxy's Edge.

we haven't seen anything about it sides the inital showing of the tech, but it looks like they're almost ready to go.

>2 months untill soft launch

>Rumors are starting to float around that Rise of the Resistance is having serious issues and will not open with the soft launch in may

>The Cantina bar will only have space for 100 people, limited bar stools, Limited Booths, the rest is standing room only. Serve alcohol, but you cant take the alcohol out of the bar area.

>You can just imagine a 2-3 hour wait time for smugglers run, and it will break down atleast once if not a few times during the first couple of weeks.

not to mention that may is the start of the busiest/worst times of the year to go to any Disney park.

no way any of galaxys edge turns out to be any good untill atleast 3-4 months in.

Disney is facing a increased challenge: it’s getting too many people in the park. Making everything less enjoyable but especially not encouraging people to travel for another trip or have a satisfactory experience while there
Too overcrowded could negatively affect the parks

They just need to build more parks in the US to spread out the amount of people that goes to each. Maybe a park in Texas right in the middle on the ones in California and Florida.

Those aren't rumors. They've already confirmed Rise of the Resistance is opening later. Apparently the phased opening is a hair-brained scheme to spread the crowds out during opening year.

Also, Disneyland's opening is gonna be free reservation only for the first month.

If the ride lives up to peoples' expectations, you can easily expect even 5-10 hour wait times months later. If an Avatar ride can still have a 3 hour wait time nearly 2 years later, then a Star Wars ride can garner three times that.

>2-3 hours

try 5-6. I waited for 2 to get on guardians a week after it opened.

Anybody here have cool park merch to show off? I just started collecting Alien Encounter stuff.

I just ordered some Mystic Manor plush from eBay

>mfw trying to book blue bayou.
>no tables for 7.
>sis: "... why not just get two reservations?"
>IT FUCKING WORKS.

>tfw we'll never get mystic manor in disneyland or world.
it's not fair user. mystic manor is fucking AMAZING.

There's something very sad about these dead franchises in an empty amusement park on a dark, starless night

I'd even be down for a new "Join Lord Mystic and Albert on one of their adventures" attraction if they wanted to maintain Hong Kong keeping exclusivity on Manor. Or hell, any meaningful SEA content in America, not just the retcons and restaurants.

God and his throne

>Maybe a park in Texas right in the middle on the ones in California and Florida.
No one's going to want to travel to fucking Texas for Disney.

Man they really revamped Hollywood it’s goinv to be a real bitch to go through with Star Wars land/toy story/ new Mickey Mouse plus the old stuff and the tower of terror, ducking loved that ride since I’m a fan of classic twilight zone, even if I hate the st im still going

>The Cantina bar will only have space for 100 people, limited bar stools, Limited Booths, the rest is standing room only. Serve alcohol, but you cant take the alcohol out of the bar area.

what are they stupid expand the fuck out of that multiple stories of even themes “basement” levels that are filled with junk like soar parts and damaged droids and it gets crappier the lower you go

I was just trying to think of a midpoint, doesn't have to be Texas.

>let's stick a multi million dollar attraction in the area loving known as Tornado alley while splitting up the profits from land and world with a third gathering point in the same country.

Nah son, they just need to give sidney their fucking disney park already.

Wouldn’t they get more overall since people who couldn’t currently afford to go to the parks would be able to make the shorter trip to the midpoint park? Even if they didn’t want to invest in something like World/Land, they could always try to revive Disney’s America.

*couldn’t afford traveling to the parks, to be clear.

what part of
>area loving known as Tornado alley
do you not understand? disney world lost like 5 million one of the few times a hurricane NICKED them.

oh man, Alien Encounter was the tightest shit before the redesign. That's awesome that you got that stuff. I used to have the action figure

Yeah, fuck Texas.
