The funny thing is that nothing ever came of that, although there is gonna be a follow up episode where Lila gets Marinette in apparant serious trouble.

But for now, everyone's still her friend and Lila's yet to make a move on her. So it was just people upset that Marinette had to sit alone for half a day while everyone fawned over someone else.

oh there are a tons of salty fangirl right now who wish that Miraculous was a boring show where everything and everyone was perfect, instead of a show with mildly flawed protagonists that their weak little souls find "problematic" despite the show being very tame

The idea seems to be that if Hawkmoth akumatizes them and they know the other they'll both give away both their IDs to Hawkmoth instead of just one, and then they're screwed.

Yeah Hawkmoth bothers their freinds and family anyway, but he doesn't know this otherwise he'd intentionally target their families to freak them out like he did to Chloe.

Of course given that Hawkmoth IS Adrien's family, the situation would become much more complicated if he actually did find out, but they don't know this and are assuming he's some random asshole they don't know.

There's also the fact that Marinette treats Ladybug like a job and doesn't really want it to blend into her regular life, unlike Adrien who probalby wishes he could just be CN all the time.

CN finding out her id would basically break that barrier and mean she couldn't just file him away as someone only Ladybug has to deal with.

The whole point of Chameleon was showing that you cant step down to liars level, and you just have to keep being yourself and a good person. I've seen fans speculate this would be a reason why CN gets akumatized, but I'm not 100% sure on it. Hawk Moth usually has the general idea someone gets upset and it might be risky if he finds out that's his own son he's using. And we know well at this point this show likes to keep status quo until the next major episode.
Knowing Gabriel this wouldn't be out of character. Adrien's whole life seems to be planned out (possibly since he was born), if he selected a possible future wife for his kid I wouldn't be surprised.

How does that even work? I wish Oblivio had a better char design, working as a real fusion of the victims and showing traits of both Alya and Nino and not just a random fog dude.

The only other joint akuma were Alya's twin sisters, and even then they had separate bodies.

It seems the joint akuma requires the hosts to have a strong emotional bond and share the same negative emotion. Oblivio's hosts still had their individual voices, so it's probably not like Oblivio was a singular entitiy. Or idk, perhaps it was all a sexual innuendo.

Going off Gabriel's comment in Mayura about how LB and CN aren't using their Miraculous to improve the world like he thinks they should, Gabriel's planning on creating a secret society of the elite to use the Miraculous to shape the world according to how they see it. This is why he also wants the Miracle Box and Fu under his control not just to deny LB and CN assets. They're his main target but he wants them all. He's not hanging up his brooch if he ever "wins"

He's trying to get the Tsrugi's, an influential family with a young athletic daughter as a great potential warriors, on board, hoping they share his ideals. Adrien is also someone he plans to bring on board someday which is why he pushed him to learning fencing and Chinese.

Bringing Emilie back is only step one of his plan, and in fact this plan was in motion before she even went comatose, and she was also in on it. Remember they'd had the Moth and Peacock, and the book well before Emile got sick, in fact the Peacock is implied to be the reason.

I don't think Nino was intended to be anything more than a generic classmate but they decided they either needed another male hero or people just liked him so they increased his prominance.

Alya and Chloe have been Akumatized as much and will surpass her by the end of the season but Chloe was only Antibug once and Queen Wasp twice while Alya's had a different Akuma form each time.

Marinette is just too pure and naive. She was unable to resist Chloe's evil scheming.

Marinette and eventually Adrien meet Master Fu and he starts translating the book Gabriel had, eventually leading to him giving them both potions to unlock power up forms of which they've since used 2.

Hawkmoth's identity is officially revealed, though it's not like season 1 didn't make it extremely obvious. It's also revealed exactly what he wants the Miraculous for and why.

It's revealed how many Miraculous Fu has, as well as 3 more characters getting to become heroes using the Fox Turtle and Bee, but they don't get to keep them permanently and only have it given to them if they really need the help. So far they were only in a handful of episodes.

All of the other Kwami are introduced, but most of them are only in a single episode so far.

Hawkmoth also gets another ally using the Peacock, but they were only in the season 2 finale so far.

Two alternate love interests are added for both Marinette and Adrien each, but they don't show up much.

But these are maybe....1/4 of the season. The rest is typical Monster of the week stuff like season 1. The only thing that changes is that Chloe isn't the cause of most of the akuma's this season, and they only show the school if it's important to that episode rather than have the obligatory class scene in almost every episode like season 1.

Nah Chat in this fic looks like a whiny ass with papa issues that deflects everything in his nonsensical akuma hate. Flaws in a character are always good, yes, but it means nothing if those flaws comes from nowhere and go nowhere but edgy drama.

In FtA he actually has higher stakes to deal since he is the one who murdered his own father, while still having to work with his demons and still be a good despite that.

I also didnt like how he basically turned into a Felix, despite not having a father to boss him around any longer.

Chameleon and Oblivio were probably halfassed because they knew they'd be one offs since both (all three?) characters have other Akuma forms that are significantly more popular.

It was the pilot episode and so they went all-out to sell it. Too bad the quality didn't stick through the actual series.

Now, I would love a Chat solo. Adrien has surprisingly little focus and development for a deuteragonist. I'd also like to see how he would solve a problem or issue by himself without Ladybug and using his own initiative. We've never really seen that before, while we've seen Marinette/Ladybug do just that multiple times. Adrien is such an untapped resource. With a sexy design. And wearing a fetish outfit.
