thank you kind sir
eliza and junk lord OTP
I didn't realize lest week was the end of season 1. Makes sense, considering what happened to Kelsey.
What happened to his daughter? What happened to Kelsey?
Oh god that haircut. And pink haired ojousama bitch is back apparently. Alright thanks, getting right on these.
Memories of Bobby was great. I always appreciate flashback episodes to things that never happened in the show.
which one would you choose?
They all have their perks but none of them seem worth it in the long run. I'd rather build a time machine with my friends, even if it doesn't work.
I'm waiting for Murrlogic to give his opinion.
It was amazing, the music video blew me away. Ashamed to say I can't remember what the name of the song it's a parody of but damn is it a good parody. Sadly the credits don't give any extra information.
My opinion of the show has gone up a bit to say the least.
wtf craing has hydrocephalus hahah!
>S02E01
>S02E02
Oh, we're into season 2 now?
The wikipedia says it's still season 1.
So does Hulu, though kids’ networks aren’t always exactly honest or accurate when it comes to how they divide seasons on digital distribution
It’s of Candy by Cameo, which was super surprising and awesome to me
Hey there George Jefferson
So Craig really needing a shit was the season one finale?
That's right. S1 ended on a Kelly-centric episode with Craig's bowel-gurgling misadventure as the B-plot.
Never seen this show and probably wont ever see it but whos the bald kid in op and why does he look so much like pic related?
It felt like the most Clarence-esque episode yet in how weird and glib the comedy was (especially the toy-strangling scene), which is a plus in my book. Jacob was a pretty solid episode too.
If these really are the start of the new season I will say they feel pretty confident and densely packed with humor compared to some of the older episodes, though in the first episode's case I definitely expect that from Niki Yang at this point, who is more experienced than a lot of the other crew (including having done some really good episodes of the aforementioned Clarence).
>Candy by Cameo
Ah, there we go. Thanks, I hope someone can get a proper clip of it up on YT or something. Totally something worth sharing.
what the fuck?
season 2?
when did the first one ended?
I always shipped them
given the board teams involved (Charmaine Verhagen mentioned that Memories of Bobby was the final episode she did with Niki Yang), I feel that Memories of Bobby is the actual season 1 finale while The Mystery of the Timekeeper is actually a season 2 episode
yeah no it's def the case, as Mystery of the Time Keeper has Jeff Trammell as story editor (while season 1 eps have Shauna McGarry instead with Jeff merely being staff writer)
Since Season 1 is over, who was best board team?
whoops forgot image
Is that baby Slade?
Dashawn and Najja made the most good eps
they also notably have been involved in the stories for a lot of eps (The Future is Cardboard, Under the Overpass, Ace of Squares, and Deep Creek Salvage), even ones they didn't board (Lost in the Sewers, Doorway to Helen, Dibs Court, and Memories of Bobby). They're not the only team to get involved in to get involved in episode stories, but they have the most episodes to their name in this regard
green and blue team have great episodes.
NinjaXNinja is totally a yuri maga and I thought this was intended to be a Deer Hunter reference, maybe not.
What happened to Kelsey?
Really wanted to go red since "Bring Out Your Beast" and "Power Punchers" are favorite episodes of mine. But Dibs Court has to be in the top 3 worst of the series and didn't enjoy Vulture's Nest very much either.
Definitely Green then, easily. Followed by Blue.
>black people
>blushing
This better have been a subtle visual gag because Craig was reading anime. I fucking detest when this happens nowadays.
It is
It's a beautiful day, Mom.
>thinks black people don't blush
I mean it's subtle, but it happens
Show me some proof, nigga
NinjaXNinja is a terrible mix of both Naruto and HunterXHunter.
Beck and Lorenzana
not the best episodes but definitely the most consistently good.
I didn't see a thread for WBB. Since this is kind of that block I thought I'd ask if I just missed it instead of making a new thread just to ask about if there was a thread.
I thought the ratings were in the shitter.
fuck this kid. king of the worst episode lists.
what happens if he takes dibs on a girl's virginity?
wait, we're on season 2 already? I figured they'd have wrapped up the honeysuckle arc for the s1 finale.
you think this guy stays an elder just so he can be around lolis?
It’s a perk for sure, along with having kids who will fetch snacks for you and being able to boss people around
...
did anyone else think Kelsie’s vocals on the Candy parody were kind of sexy
i’m not even attracted to her at all normally
Where are you seeing CotC on Hulu? You in America?
I have the Live TV plan, which has every episode of every current and recent CN show.
Think it’s the same content you get from the app/VOD service if you have cable, just integrated into the Hulu interface which I find handy. Probably not worth the price for most people but I can afford it and I usually watch cartoons when I crash after work with alcohol so the convenience is nice, plus only cable provider out here is Spectrum who fucking suck donkey dick
Huh. I never noticed those extra production tidbits. Looks like Dashawn & Najja are at the forefront of the storyboarding department. They have way more influence on the show than I’d expect, which is nice to see in a show starring a black main character.
Why the hell is Craig's head shaped like that?
'Cause he was born with a peanut head. You'd be surprised how many little black boys have weirdly shaped heads.
Still, it was a little off-putting in the first few minutes of this episode.
what a catch
i like it
These creepy freaks are to show up again next week. This should be interesting.
>/ss/ bait
>craig's freakishly dented head
I missed this show.
I believe the showrunners are 80s babies and I know references come into play, but Cameo? I was not expecting that in the slightest.
Why is there a little boy wearing an eyepatch and nothing else?
Is this one of those shows that shows little boys without their clothes on and says it’s funny?
I... guess not?
Don't be getting me hyped for something we may have already seen. lol
Well, we've seen JP naked before. So the show isn't above that. Not that the guy in the OP is naked, just half naked. Most likely.
Jason Dwyer & Tiffany Ford have the best run in consistently good episodes, but Deena Beck & Angel Lorenzana made the best episode of the whole show, Doorway to Helen.
The whole thing with the Palamander had me in stitches.
"it's just like being with a horse"
what's his endgame? call dibs on everything? paintballers would've shot him to death.
Really was a garbage episode. My sister loves this show to pieces but this was the one episode she couldn't stand. The storyboarders clearly thought repeating the "Yeah, but I called dibs" joke over and over would be funny when it was just obnoxious. I usually love the systems the kids have in place but damn this one sucks. A real sense of unfair powerlessness.
I actually do love the idea of a court but not like this. This show likes its references so something more akin to the Ace Attorney series would've been gold. Not this "no arguments or circumstances matters because lol dude called dibs" BS.
So the only naked kid has been the fat tard? No wonder this show isn’t popular.
fuck off creep
sit on it you nerd.
The part where he still ate a cookie even after JP licked it was really stretching it. Made the resolution to the problem seem to be an asspull even if we know about the sign (keep out: JP)before.
>people who call dibs are obnoxious little shits
they got that right at least
Where is this from?
There were some prime reactions in this episode
In BOTH episodes, actually!
Looks like Craig’s a bottom
Oh god, those reactions are so fun to watch.
>Doorway to Helen
>the best episode of the whole show
This show has some of the most relatable moments I've ever seen. It reminds me a lot of my childhood
All it's missing is an episode where Kelsey gets weirdly obsessive over a passage in one of her books where a character is hypnotized and almost eaten and won't shut up about it
>bloochikin all up in this show
Fuck. Can you be proud of someone you don't know, probably won't ever even meet, and not really in a hurry to meet? I used to follow her work from what feels like the beginning.
>Regular Show ended in January 2017
>Close Enough was promptly announced later that year in May, with a fully animated, fully sound designed trailer premiering at SDCC 2017
>over a year later, there hasn't been a single official update from TBS or CN regarding the status of the series aside from five seconds of JG shilling the network that continues making 180-degree turns to bite him in the ass
>the best hint we currently have for Close Enough's estimated release date comes from a crew member's Instagram bio
JAY GEEEEE, GIVE US AN UPDATE
>Close Enough
Do people still harbor any kind of hype for this? Like legit hype? Why?
I like how Kelsey's biased narration slipped into her story.
I ship Craig and Wildernessa, even though I should ship Kelsey and Wildernessa and Stacks OT3
back to reactions
I really don't get why people shit on this show for being, what too kiddy? too comfy?
The jokes are there, the writing is there, the comfiness is there
The only hang up I have is I feel like one of the only reasons I like the show is because it reminds me of childhood, but if I was a kid, would I like this show for the same reason? Would I find it relatable specifically through the viewpoint of "this is how kids act and I think it's funny"?
I'd love the show, no doubt, but would I feel the same way about it?
>obvious yuri manga has a horse on the cover
I know a group who'd like to recreate some scenes
>If Kelsey did not, Maney would be utterly heartbroken, and then Kelsey would have to put down....TWO horses.
That and the Big Time Bobby callback were the highlights. Great episodes all around.
God, I live for this kinda shit
That kinda makes sense (she uses her dislike for Craig as a cover for her true feelings) but that's not going to happen because Bubbline/Garnet
I hate what they did to the color palettes of the other black characters, they seem...pink...I hate it.
pretty sure Memories of Bobby was the season 1 finale and Mystery of the Time Keeper was a random early season 2 ep that aired early for some weird reason
What the hell are you talking about? Please post some screencaps to prove your point.
I know that feel, bro.
Been following Mabel Ye since her middle school days. From CSSSA to CalArts ("Beautiful Brain" was easily a standout among the 2018 student films) to her Cartoon Network internship, I'm happy to see she's found a place on Craig McCracken's new Netflix series. Makes me believe there's still hope for me
Nah, I totally feel the same way. Extremely relatable kid make believe. You ever watch Arthur from PBS? That's the vibe I'm kinda getting, but with electric guitar music.
My main gripe is that the writing is far too tepid for me (the same reason why I never got into Steven Universe, We Bare Bears, Summer Camp Island, Harvey Beaks and Big City Greens) I don't think the writing is bad though
I also find the eps not centred around the creek meh (The main cast's families are the townie equivalents) but this is from someone who thinks slice-of-life shows are shithouse
I can see where is coming from
Paintball /k/ids of course
>It's a "character gets a bad haircut and doesn't just shave their whole head until it grows back" episode
At least Kelsey laughing at Craig was great, but then again everything Kelsey does is great
so this is how they do it.
I was not expecting those feels.
Personally, I love Regular Show and want more of that style and humor, with a few swears thrown in.
>expected cute solo narrated adventure of Kelsey
>instead got slammed by that line outta nowhere and her dad freaking out thinking something serious happened to his daughter.
Just got caught up pn the show last night, had seen the first four eps but nothing else so I binged it and didn't expect such a calm whimsical A plot to go along with Craig shitting his pants. Audibly said "aw fuck" to myself in the dark of my apt.
So, it's OK to like this show now... Well then, fuck right off. I was enjoying this show since it began. Simply for being a better, smarter Clarence in almost every sense. I still like and miss Clarence and all; I just acknowledge this show is that little bit more consistently good at capturing kids just being kids, if anything.
Still better than the likes of Summer Camp Island (which is only proppwd up by the creator's self-insert of a certain witch.) and/or Victor and Valentino (whose first impression is pretty fucking less than stellar and the only reason anyone's keeping up with it is to jerk off to some little goth girl!), anyway...
As someone who prefers that of Regular Show over Adventure Time, even though I fucking liked both and they are both gone now, in just about every sense... Who the fuck doesn't want more of that, only aimed more at the right audience for it? Too bad that show is clearly getting screwed over, which - yeah, that does suck.
I liked the animatic more than the final product
Kelsey needs more lewd. So does everyone else on this show. I think this show deserves more of that attention in general... And yes, it's OK, as it's not real child porn, so I don't see the problem here.
... Especially considering TLH has way too much of it.
Personally think Kelsey is about as homely as a little girl can be. She's really fun but I'm not intetested in lewds when even fanart can't make her much cuter. TLH girls, HSK girls, Hilda, etc make much better candidates.
TLH catered to every fetish available so of course it'll have more.
you really should know that by now...
Yeah, and it's kinda sad that's why people watch TLH, instead of on its own fucking merits. It really is that mediocre, judging by the lack of discussion on the actual show (as in what works and what doesn't.) itself.
How old are the elders, anyway?
too old to be hanging around the creek but not enough to call the cops on them.
What about the witches (Tabitha, Courtney)???
they seem to be younger than the elders though. or maybe not since one of them's going to college.
early 20's
17-18
>Lewding Kelsey
Cease, Kelsey is pure!
Kelsey turned out to be a fun character, but she has too much of a Steven Universe/Grenda body type for my taste. I'd rather just have a harem of horse girls.
Older guys hanging out with kids is a gray area. Older girls teasing a little boy is hot.
