ITT:Terribly adapted characters

I’ll start.

Everyone on Arrow

Tony Stark and Captain America are the only MCU characters that vaguely resemble their comic counterparts and even so they are clearly different characters with some few common traits.

People only hate DCEU take on Batman and Superman more because Snyder sucks at writting characters, just look at Aquaman and Wonder Woman, people loved their movies even though they're nothing like their comic versions.

All of them

Aaaand because Captain America being a quipper and Spider-Man not being about responsability is not as offensive as Batman murdering with guns and Superman being a apathetic sociopath.

theres something endearing about the costumes in those shows, its like bad cosplay costumes, so in a way theyre realistic because the costumes are so bad

>clearly different characters with some few common traits
That's traditionally what an adaptation means

It's like the American equivalent of tokusatsu

Doctor Strange May look a bit different but his behavior is pretty spot on.

I can forgive beast boy and raven going full civilian but I will never be okay with hooker starfire.

The raven doesn't look too awful, somehow.

Fuck it, let's go three for three.

>He doesnt quip so its a bad adaptation

Raimi trilogy is one of the best adaptations of a comic book because it fundamentally GETS Spider-Man.

Everyone in GotG, as fun as the movie was.

You never watched the raimi trilogy he does quip

>strawmanning
It's a bad adaptation because he behaves in no way like Peter. He's a whiny naive bitch who quits being Spider-Man over a late pizza delivery.

No.

The Raimi Version had the best Peter Parker and a kind of mediocre Spider-Man who tried too hard to be Daredevil. This Peter Parker is afraid of talking to the pretty girl about his feelings, he only has one best friend which he bareely sees and he is smart.

Meanwhile the Marc Webb version had the worst version of Peter Parker AND The best version of Spider-Man. This Peter Parker is more energetic, has a lot of friends and he takes notes from students who shouldn't be smarter than him to make the Web-Slingers and costume design. Meanwhile this Spider-Man is cocky, confident and thinks before doing something.

Why the fuck does Starfire look like a $20 whore? I know artistic license was applied for all the characters but even then they made Robin, Raven and Beastboy all fine.

616 Peter was never really scared of talking to pretty girls.

>thinks before doing something
That's why he left signed camera in the sewer, right?

Based

He quits being spider-man because of the strain its putting on his social life, friends, and family you retard.

Wrong

Much more accurate Suicide Squad than the movie, as depressing as that is.

Eh, Dr Strange’s personality is nicely adapted imo, both pre and post magic man

That's how the movie tries to frame it, but it isn't a strain really. He loses MJ because he thinks he has to choose between her and Spider-Man but even after he quits he rejects her, he loses his Buggle job because he refuses to take Spider-Man pictures and prefers artsy photos (so literally not being Spider-Man is more of an issue than the opposite) and he loses Harry because he's a terrible friend even when he actually is around. May's health issues aren't related to his heroics, contrary to what what made him quit in 616.
He quits being Spider-Man because it's hard and he's a little bitchy bitch who'd rather live a normal life than assuming the great responsibility. Fuck's sake he rejects Ben's advice in a dream sequence.

TASM movies are worse. Homecoming had Vulture.

i actually kinda like beast boy desu

>After he quits he rejects her
This is objectively wrong. He does try to see if they can make something work. She rejects him because she thinks she's moved on.
>Loses his Bugle job
Not really. Jonah ignores that he just fired Pter pretty much immediately when he realises he needs Peter for John's party.
>Terrible friend
Tougher, but still not quite true. He's not in a position to support Harry financially, but tries to console him. He can't really give up his main source of income (Spider-Man photo) even if he knows Harry's been hurt by it. Reminder he just lost the pizza job
The point of Spider-Man 2 was that he'd let his life become a bad cycle of both aspects harming the other to the point of a breakdown, when he needed a break to re-orient himself

Beast Boy looks like a chill bro and Raven is okay. Nightwing and Starfire are thrash though.

I always prefered feral lizard. Movie version was so bland.

Same as movie Green Goblin.
What's even worse about the Lizard there, is when he starts turning people into other Lizards and that's not even followed up on. There could've been a big action scene with that.

TASM had a lot of duds in it's short run. At least Emma Stone was decent as Gwen.

>Everyone on CW that isn't Thawne

Fixed that for you.

Mousketeer detected.

Vulture was literally Not-Norman.

And then she goes have a drink with him, asks him if he loves her clearly hoping a yes, and he says no.

No it's a good movie, he's just not muh Peter.

Hoping and praying that there's a post-Endgame MCU box office slump and it kills Iron Boy.
