I love Carol but I hate Brie Larson. What do?

OPEN HER UP!
Am I the only one that's confused here?

I didn't like happy Fury or the cat.
Movie was nice. Not great.I liked space scenes, flight scenes, Skrull mind scan (best part).

Is there anething worth fapping to in the movie?

Given what was said in the movie (Monica wanting to meet Carol half way in space someday) and Kevin saying some shit about how there's been 20+ years between CM and Endgame that's ripe for stories I feel like CM2 will be set sometime before endgame or at the very least have strong Monica Pre-endgame flashbacks.

Have Monica going into space on some kinda Gov or SHIELD program and shit happens.

BOOM, we set up NEXTWAVE as some off world Avengers who were too busy dealing with shit to come back with Carol when Fury pages her.

GIVE ME THAT NEXTWAVE MOVIE!!!

I love Carol but I love Brie Larson. What do?

also her feet look fine in the movie. the trolls have nothing to use against the movie anymore, not after dat 750M take.

boring lead character. fury was turned into comic relief, skrulls are good. jude law was wasted.

Well user, it's a movie about Carol not Brie.
You do know how to separate art from the artist right user?

Get woke make bank.
And Brie was the best part of a great movie. Has the incel crowd ever been more BTFO?

Worst debut solo of the bunch
Action wasn't that great
Brie acting is wooden at times
Protagonist doesn't really struggle with the challenges she faces nor does she seem afraid/inexperienced with her own power.

Just my personal opinion

there's a lot of things I want from this movie.
-more Yon Rogg scenes even if the one where he sees himself when talking to the supreme intelligence has very little to do with the movie.
-more "dude 90's lmao" scenes beyond slow internet
-more fury and coulson interaction
>show Korath join or show interest in following Ronan
I would totally be ok if the movie was 2hr30m just for the sake of those scenes.

So has there been any significant uptick in porn for Captain Marvel or is she still so hated that no one cares to bother?

Hear me out guys. Hear me out.

Marvel told a better Superman story than the DCEU did.

Aside from being of human origin, movie Carol is basically Kal-El aka Clark Kent. But Carol is not man of murder because she saved more lives then lost, unlike Snyderman in Man of Steel.

Annete Benning dancing to Nirvana with a jacket.
Brie Larson screaming in joy twice (unrelated events).

come on, that's obvious.

>dancing
>to Nirvana

i really liked it when she rescued the refugee- i mean the skrulls

>disney admits to buying tickets

>rotten tomatoes admits that they got payed to delete reviews
>hundreds of bot reviews with the exact same paragraphs in every site
???

She was the worst part of the movie user, but I blame the writing. They kept flip-flopping her personality between smirky try-hard (she really isn't funny) and wooden amnesia rather than making it an actual character arc.

>disney admits to buying tickets
When?

Pleasantly surprised

Neat head trauma you got there

But her face user. That face is exactly where Carol's face is. If this Bring chick was an actor, I wouldn't notice, but she is just a flat lame face. Said flat lame face just slapped onto my hero!

I saw the movie recently. It was a good movie, but any bitching about Brie Larson is valid, she makes one face the whole movie, and it isn't a good looking face.

But if you don't look at her face is good. The SJW feminist shit wasn't Forced or painfully in my face, it was there but not bad.

Not the best Hero movie from DC or Marvel, but oh well.

I want to see a movie about Jude Law's Kree team fucking shit up around the universe.

i thought that cringey girl power shit died in the 90's

> TLJ: Electric Boogaloo
Shills really annoying with this one. They found "trolling" from 2008, "incel" on reddit, start to use it as "nazi alt right" to protect this joke of a movie due to lack of any substance in their repetitive mumbling. I really don't know what all this shit doing at Yea Forums.

It never died. You jsut chose to ignore it

Show your sources, Molester McGroin.

This isn't a Star Wars film, r-tard.

If we're being honest, that's not too different from how she currently is in the comics.
>She's a stoic leader!
>No, she's zany and abrasive towards authority authority figures!
>Actually she's responsible and an ideal leader rivaling Steve Rodgers!
>Or maybe she just works on instinct and gut feelings with little forethought like Stark?
>Ok, now she's just going to muscle her way through problems like Thor...?
>uh, she's kinda too mortal for that and is more down to earth... except now she's possibly immortal and can shrug off a penance stare?
>Well at least she remembers her past, especially her predecessors.
>Except when she doesn't because things are being retconned in and out of cannon on the fly, basically on an isssue to issue basis.
>Wait, so she doesn't have amnesia anymore like in KSD's run?
There just isn't anything resembling a real character left when you have executives making most of the calls and no proper editors that can real writers back into a more unified vision of her.

This isn't 9gag. You need to understand simple things.

Worst MCU movie since Iron Man 3.

OMG but it LITERALLY isn't, like, a Star Wars movie! DUH! It's like when my mom calls things the best since sliced bread and they're almost never food items! Apples and oranges much? But, like, NOT because they're both food??? Whateverrrrrr.

Make it rhyme at least.

Everything not Carol Danvers was great. Honestly wish we just got Kree/Skrull war shit.

Trash. Thank you, next.

I didn't see it based on trailers and strictly Brie with her shit attitude and flat acting.

I'm disappointed in the obnoxious marketing that put it in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons and the weak willed that fell for it. The complainers were also manipulated to give this movie free advertising with all the aggressive whining.

It's okay not to like things, but the more you bitch the more people will try to prove you wrong by pure spite alone because people are douche bags.

Eeeh. It was like, a 5/10. At times it felt extremely like it was pandering. The music is meh and I cringed a little when Just A Girl played but I never thought that I wanted to stop watching. The pacing is sorta weird?? And the fight scenes could've been more dynamic. The Skrulls were the best part of the movie and I'm not even a fan of Skrulls. Also, yes. She doesn't have many emotions and shes the poster child of what the media sees as a powerful woman. Not a bad watch but definitely one of the less fun Marvel movies. It could have leaned off the "WOAH, A GIRL???" vibe.

I thought it was a shit movie, but I'm very happy it made a shitload of money, I really, really like babbygaters types crying about it.

Success

I'm genuinely baffled that it's made so much money. I saw it because my brother-in-law dragged me to see it, and I couldn't rate it anything better than "average." Carol was boring. The plot was boring. I didn't care about the Skrulls. Jude Law was wasted. The 90s setting didn't resonate with me. Turning Mar-Vell into some fat old woman was annoying. The little black girl was cute.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either. With the Marvel machine behind it I would assume that it would top out around $700 million or so. But it seems to be making more, which I genuinely find puzzling. Am I just missing something, as a viewer? Is this going to be another version of Iron Man 3, where it makes a billion despite nobody really liking it all that much? I don't see anything like the passionate response Black Panther got. Nobody seems to be really diehard about this movie, but everyone's seeing it anyway.

>marketed as feminist
>starred by avidly feminist woman
>written and directed by 4 women and a man
>released on International Women's Day

>released by world's #1 highest-grossing movie franchise

>kept flip-flopping her personality between smirky try-hard (she really isn't funny) and wooden amnesia
Sounds about like Carol, honestly.

tfw token white man

WELL I WISH SHE FUCKING WOULD.

user, if you don't see it then clearly you hate women, you misogynist pig.

This movie is misandrist.

It's the lead up to endgame and had a marketing budget equal if not exceeding the team up Avengers films.

There was no way this movie was gonna flop, it was at worst gonna get average summer blockbuster revenue. Honestly not surprised at all it's heading for a billion. My local theater was legit running showings every 20 minutes while giving every other movie save 'how to train your dragon' three or less showings for the whole day.

>It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either.
So it was an MCU movie.

It made a lot of money because it was heavily promoted especially as an Endgame tie-in and also because it was an MCU movie. The hype also clouds people's judgement of a movie sometimes, just compare how you felt after you first watched the first Avengers movie and then see it again and notice how it's not the same.

And yeah most people that I've talked to about it have said that it was just OK but the movie did its job and it's making good money.

>written and directed by 4 women and a man
It was 6 women and a man
>Captain Marvel is directed by writing and directing duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, both of whom also contributed to the screenplay along with Meg LeFauve (Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Liz Flahive, and Carly Mensch

Skrulls are NOT sympathetic.
