We need roko written out so we can back to likeable, if still poorly written characters. Roko's not relatable or appealing because her issues are made up stuff. The bread thing is dumb and it's difficult to feel sorry for mild body discomfort when it's like, bitch you were crushed to death, boo-hoo immortal robot problems.

I don’t think I need any other reason to dislike Roko other than she’s boring. I mean, technically the whole cast is made of boring characters, but Roko is worse than usual. For a long time now the only mildly interesting and funny thing to do with her was her bread fetish, but that joke’s been going on so long now, it’s become stale.

If Jeph wanted to really do anything that wasn't milquetoast half-assed pandering, Roko wouldn't have been able to get an upgraded copy of her previous body. Hell, he could have only made a conpletely different chassis available and then the body dismorphia would have a leg to stand on. And he could have even gotten more progressive points if he had retroactively given her old form body dismorphia as a retconned excuse for her being wierd. Have her new body fit her well and her surprised by it. A 'oh, you mean the wierd thing I always felt but never told anyone about was actually a disease/dysmorphia?' type story.
Hell, he could even work in the bread fetish as a weird ratioblnalization that Roko is a chubby chaser and bread is similar enough to warm fat flesh that it triggers her kink. Jeph is already drawing thin characters as fat, so now he'd have a fucking excuse.
Alternatively, make Roko a Kenny-style 'dies often for comedic effect' type character, but its actually good because now Roko can experience a wode variety of body shapes and push a pro-nonstandard bodytype agenda.

One of the many infuriating things about QC is that handstabby doesn't give more than the bare minimum of effort.

The robot ai’s in QC formed from the technological ether, they weren’t programmed. If this were Toron, they’d be ISO’s rather than programs.

There are a couple of strips where Clinton is absurdly attractive. It's mostly Jeph experimenting with style and pretty much all the other characters look kinda ass but it worked with Clinton's design.

Yeah, Jeph hasn't had the courage to actually address trans and body dysmorphia issues through his actually trans character since he knows nothing about it, so he's half assing it with one of the robots. She got ported into a body that we've been told is almost exactly like her old one, but she was "really integrated" with the old one. It's exactly as dumb as it sounds. Worse than when he tried to do an arc about privilege by showing that some store owners were unwilling to hire May because she's a robot, seemingly forgetting that May is also an ex con with a demonstrably confrontational personality, and also ignoring that a robot needs a job less than a person because a robot doesn't necessarily require food and shelter to live.

If you're a long time reader, you might know the big guy Elliot. He was a minor character from the post-breakup arc nearly a decade ago.

The bread fetish came from a once Patreon exclusive bonus strip that Jeph eventually recycled because he lies about having a buffer to fall back on and instead backstabs his paying customers in the name of laziness. For whatever reason he overcompensated trying to integrate this very obviously one-off gag strip into series canon and as a result beyond overplayed this bread fetish, which wasn't even funny in the first place.
