Bart Vs Itchy and Scratchy

>Bart Vs Itchy and Scratchy
>"Krusty releases an all-female reboot of "Itchy and Scratchy," so Bart and his crew of all-male friends decide to boycott the show. After Bart's friends turn on him for laughing at the reboot, Bart joins a woke group of sixth-grade girls who commit crimes against patriarchy.
Why couldn't they just let it die with dignity like KOTH?

I don't even care about the actual plot of the episode and just hope that it results in a brief burst of rule 63 fanart

this is not real

It is though, just google search OP's title and it's literally the first result. This is the state of modern Simpsons.

>it's real
holy fuck why and how

I wonder if the Fox network will keep this show going past season 32 now that Disney will own the Simpsons. They won’t be making money off the show like they used to.

Young writers trying to be cool by shoehorning things in that they think are cool that will be dated in 5 years at best

Maybe I'm a brainlet but the synopsis is a bit confusing. Bart and his friends boycott the reboot and then the same friends (that boycotted it along with him) turn on him for not liking it?

Turn on him for laughing at it, as in thinking its funny.

No Bart probably saw an episode and laughed then all his friends turned on him. This is fucking awful and I bet Lisa's on her soapbox half this fucking episode.

Sounds vaguely funny if done well.

Ah, yeah. That makes sense. Still stupid as fuck though.

I haven't watched this show since season 10 and thanks for reminding me why

I was thinking about this earlier and they've put themselves in an impossible situation with this episode because the entire point of Itchy and Scratchy is the over the top violence. If they try and do that with female characters to say the show is just as good, then they're still hypocrites because it's not like Lisa ever got strangled.

>still hypocrites because it's not like Lisa ever got strangled.

when was the last time Lisa got shit on?

Anyone else think Lisa is gonna shit on it?

I don't like the description for this episode... I would say let's wait and see how they actually handle it, but I don't have much faith in the modern writers.

It's just them doing an incredibly delayed reaction to the Ghostbusters reboot, where the NYT and other media outlets basically said "anyone who doesn't like this movie just hates women and thinks they can't do comedy."

When I first saw this I was 99% sure it was trolling, but it's actually real.

Yeah, I don't think "Itchy and Scratchy" is the kind of show people in real life would be screaming for representation in.

My body is ready.

Cozy

Would you rather sit between Marge and Homer or have the arm of the couch?

If this week's episode taught me anything is that they'll go out of their way to make Bart life hell and make Lisa be in the right so expect this to end with Bart being a bigot who hates things because there are woman in it

Attached: 1343355607719.jpg (264x246, 19K)

it's a fucking wiki

Read the thread

It's really about Captain Marvel

The comics already did the joke with a female reboot of Radioactive Man. Comic Book Guy and the nerds protested over the hero's costume not being the right shade of red, but they were perfectly fine with a woman in the role since they'll take any chance to ogle one.

This plot has the potential to be funny but I fear it won't be.

>Abusing boys is fine and funny
>Abusing girls is a strict sin and no no.
K.

>Inb4 some autist assumes I want girls choked, instead of assuming I don't like any form of abuse.

That sounds a million times funnier

Attached: 41341.png (262x362, 54K)

Homer has almost strangled Maggie once if that helps.

When was this?

How did things get this far? It's Always Sunny in it's most political season covered a bunch of gender related topics, but still mocked the all-female reboot trend. Bart didn't deserve this shit. The Simpsons really doesn't have a funny bone left in it's body.

A: Itchy and Scratchy is considered funny in universe for its over the top violence.
B: The Simpsons has no problem with over the top violence, when it's male on male.
C: The Simpsons staff went on record saying they were going to do a joke where Homer strangles Lisa, but thought it wouldn't be funny.
D: This episode will likely posit that an all female I&S is good.
So if A remains true for an all female reboot, then C is false. If A is false, then D can't be true either.

>this is obviously fak-
Fucking hell, let it die

The last episode of The Simpsons I ever watched was the Lady Gaga episode. I was so thoroughly disgusted it permanently put me off the show. For that, it has my gratitude.

Well I for one I'm SEETHING

>pacify me with porn, I will let them burn the world and kill my children. Massah is good, massah is bliss. muh dick mufuka
typical rat posting.

What an extremely bizarre post

wow, that is spot on on how fans actually react to official rule63 characters

Oh just like real life then?

What a prim proper lady, would instaloss

10/10
would disembowel

>omg they did it again, muh DICK OMG GIB DE PACIFIER AND TENDIES NOW MASSAH

isn't this the same recycled plot from when they turned Krusty's show into a princess show?

Attached: 7666.jpg (1280x720, 159K)

Holy fuck!
They knew how forgettable this episode was, and now they have the audacity to do the same shit all over again and worse than before.

Attached: 1551156857982.png (247x239, 18K)

The episode was written over a year ago, it's 100% mirroring the ghostbuster shit.

poochie 2

Lol no, are you retarded? the Simpson season are written way in advance these days, as everything must pass through hundreds of suits approval to get done.

You know the idea that the Simpsons already did it? They're taking it to its logical extremes.

Season 33 will be the stories from the first season all over again, but reanimated and rewritten to modern standards.

Are you suggesting they weren't planning shame-based campaign ahead of time?

why would bart ever like the show?

why do they take every chance to castrate him?

its not fair

they might as well just have bart transition at this point

Attached: 1526934843674.jpg (427x427, 41K)

At least the leak about the "Lisa has a crush on Homer" episode was fake.

Its sad that we have to count on south park to call pc bullshit now when simpsons use to be all about that.

and? at least its grounded

lisa's boyfriends have always been mini chad princes for some reason even though shes not really been described as pretty

youtu.be/QhnsC2V4_0w

I don't believe for a second that the Simpsons can write an episode that's relevant to within 3 years.

Nelson nearly got into her panties too.

Lisa almost got raped by some kid who was role playing as Ernest Hemingway

I'm kinda surprised they never did "Bart has a crush on Edna" episode. Not even on Halloween. Or even on substitute teacher. Or at least I don't remember any.

would scratch her itch

So will Homer finally strangle Lisa, or will Marge strangle Lisa?

I thought the joke with Itchy and Scratchy is that Bart and Lisa find horrible sadism funny

He had a crush on sub and he competed with Seymour

By that logic you’d think an all female reboot for a movie about a bunch of exterminators wouldn’t have been heralded as the most important feminist triumph of 2016 but that’s not what happened

The whole premise of Itchy and Scratchy though, is evil mouse kills friendly cat for no reason though..

Heck the show sometimes makes the racism implication explicit.

just from this poster you can tell how obnoxious they are

>So if A remains true for an all female reboot, then C is false
I don't see it. Just because the writers couldn't see a joke in a father strangling his daughter, doesn't mean they can't see jokes in a female cartoon mouse beating up an unrelated female cartoon cat.

>female cartoon mouse beating up an unrelated female cartoon cat.

The female Cartoon mouse doesn't beat up the female cartoon, she mutilates and tortures to death the female cat.

In another cartoon with Itchy and Scratchy, they are related, such as Itchy being Scratchy's father.

>In another cartoon with Itchy and Scratchy, they are related
And most of the time they're not. Nor do they have established history as family members outside of violence.

Sounds legit.

user, they are bringing back koth...

Much of the time, Itchy is established as Scratchy's supposed best friend and many cartoons having them living together.

See toons like Cat Splat Fever and House of Pain

>Why couldn't they just let it die with dignity like KOTH?
That'd be 100% in character for Bobby though.

Is this really something you decided to go online and argue about?

Except no one liked the Ghostbusters reboot.

Attached: Screen Shot 2019-01-15 at 4.52.15 PM.png (159x120, 39K)

Better than arguing about the wretched pile of shit the Simpsons have become.

What I mean is will they let female Itchy and Scratchy be violence porn AKA "gorn" or "guro"?

>Moe Vs Farmer 1 & Farmer 2
>"Sneed releases an all-female store of "Sneed's Feed & Seed" so Moe and his crew of all-male friends decide to boycott the store. After Moe friends turn on him for being a city slicker, Moe joins a woke group of farmers who commit crimes against fancy germany cars.

All but Milhouse

Milhouse did it first but it didn't count
Episode "Lisa's Wedding"

There was, Bart and Skinner was fighting for the same women. And there was another time he had the hots for his music teacher.

Are they seriously doing an episode about that shitty Ghostbusters remake THREE YEARS after it came out?

See now, as much as I want Lisa to get some kind of comeuppance for her actions. She's not really deserving of strangling from Homer unlike Bart. I think what also makes it work is that Bart, whether intentionally or not (usually intentionally) knows what buttons to push. Lisa's not the same, even when she wasn't as whiny and bitchy in the earlier seasons, she never got on Homer's nerves THAT badly like her brother.

I feel like they came up with the excuse not so much because it wouldn't be funny, but because they didn't know how to do it without it coming off as forced and out of character with their dynamic.

The strangling is just an example.
We'll never see Marge fall down Springfield Gorge, to give another one.

I'm sure there are some contrarians out there nowadays (who aren't just paid) who pretend to like it because it was so universally hated.

The issue with that isn't so much the idea of female Ghostbusters (after all, we already had Janine and Kylie in the cartoons), but the fact that this was ultimately nothing more than a cash grab with the sole purpose to bank on the Feminists and the Ghostbusters fandom. And failed at attracting both with its poor humor, mediocre visuals and utter waste of cameos from Ackroyd and Murray.

I'd argue that even if it were still an all-male team the film would have still done poorly because Sony's just so fucking incompetent these days.

Rewatching the old episodes of the Simpsons, what the hell was Itchy's problem?

Attached: 7f09_007.jpg (320x240, 15K)

What if the reboot fails at being cartoon violence, but Bart laughs at some other joke which relied on something Lisa said for him to get it, while it goes over the heads of everyone else? Then Bart rapidly backpedals to no avail.

At that rate, how will Homer's Enemy (2024) work? Bart and Nelson get an abandoned K-Mart?

Attached: sc1.jpg (510x604, 98K)

Oh god oh fuck

Attached: Screenshot_20190304-220609_YouTube.jpg (419x507, 85K)

The Simpsons vs Disney should be an episode title 3-4 years from now.

The joke was that Bart's aunt Selma got cast as the lead.

I think it's supposed to be about reboots in general.
