So is Gen:Lock any good? Saw the first episode and didn't think much about it. Don't see people talking about it

Anybody?

Of course its fucking not.

The hell's Gen Lock?

It's better than RT's other shows just by because michael b. jordan pumped money into the project so their production values are above the likes of RWBY and RvB's amateur hour.

But that's such a low bar to beat it doesn't even count as the show is still dull and boring and people just like the scottish girl because she is waifu bait.

>so their production values are above the likes of RWBY
Season 1 of RWBY, as low budget and low quality as it was, was still carried by charming characters, charming humor, and Monty fight scenes.

Obviously Monty is dead and the RWBY fan base still memes about "Monty scraps," but does Gen:Lock have any of the things that make RWBY watchable despite its flaws?

It has some decent fight scenes and less speeches, so I guess? Still, as i said, the bar is super low so already gen:Lock had a easier footing because you're using star power against people at the RT office + the occasional anime VA.

diversity: lock
is fine.
mindscape scenes are ALWAYS ultra-gay and cringe.

The plot (or the lack of it) is pure shit

the people who wrote this garbage cannot even explain what the war is about or what is the enemy faction, its literally the good guys vs the bad guys because of...reasons

stay away, its shit

If you like RWBY you'll like this one. It's better than all the "post-Monty" seasons.
You won't find much support here because this is a unapologetically leftist show and I won't lie at times they push it way too hard, but overall it's a good show but it's not worth paying anything for it yet.

>asking Yea Forums

Shit man, how new are you?

Yes, gen:LOCK is good. No, Yea Forums will never admit it.

But Yea Forums is a lefty board these days

Who is your favorite Holon pilot, and why is it Kazu?

Attached: Kazu_Casual_ProfilePic3.png (500x750, 480K)

It was literally always a "lefty board" compared to the other boards, you haven't seen the "Yea Forums is love" post have you? This place used to be known as basically the single most accepting place on the site

Its pretty standard anime. But the questions it raises makes it interesting.

That was before the great pony purge, which should be put in the past now that MLP is finally ending and will get a complete reboot so extreme that Applejack is going from a country farm girl to a jive talking 'black girl' type character, and brony conventions are shutting down due to a predicted collapse of the fandom.

>Rooster teeth
It's shit.

Attached: Hello There.jpg (499x530, 88K)

Better than the average western action cartoon, but not amazing. It has potential and a powerful waifu that may as well be the main character. It lacks the political intrigue and battle of perspective stuff that makes real world mecha shows really enjoyable for me, but it leans pretty hard into cyberpunk and transhumanist themes instead so if you like that stuff, you'll probably enjoy it.

The most surprising thing about it is how much better it is than RWBY. This isn't high praise, but the difference in quality is incredible.

Yea Forums was generally highly leftist before the great influx of 2016. Just four years ago the press were calling us a radical far left message board rather than a far right recruitment system. Just think about that for a moment.

Anything from Rooster Teeth post RvB: The Blood Gulch Chronicles is utter shit

Season 6 and 7 of RvB are the best, retard

>Season 6 and 7
>best
pick one, retard

7

BGC fights mercenaries in the desert without overdoing it on comedy (16) or drama (8)

Reminder that Nemesis is based and redpilled

Isn’t one of the voice actors a rapist?

>Don't see people talking about it
it's already over so who gives a fuck

RT's banking everything on it after RWBY flatlined

Funny enough it ended up rushing production on Volume 6 of RWBY and killed it even further

>the press were calling us a radical far left message board rather than a far right recruitment system.
Screen shots of this? Is all going to be from Fox?

>So is Gen:Lock any good?
I'm a couple of episodes in and it's alright so far. Better than rwby at least [spoilers]but that's not exactly a high bar to pass[/spoilers]

How fucking hard is it to press CNTRL S

Fox definitely did this. IIRC the BBC and CNN did too back when Yea Forums was doing all that "fuck Scientology" shit, and when there were loads of people organizing for the student loans riots on here.

American Mech show? Is it more BattleTech or Gundam in terms of story.

I'm phoneposting.

Any pics of this of this news?

Like did they really use the words far left?

>The lead cast comes from intentionally inclusive backgrounds, the goal being to normalize diversity.

fucking hell

I love Gray (always have) but this shit is so condescending, and I say this as a colored person

Vince yes.

As someone who recently watched RWBY purely so I could critique it accurately, good. It seemed like stupid deviantart my first anime garbage at first, but at least stupid deviantart my first anime garbage with direction. By the time I got to volume 6 I had no fucking clue what the writers were doing, it was like none of them remembered the volume prior and there was a bare minimum of communication between all involved.

Yes, there's a famous picture of O'Reily calling it that when talking about one of Yea Forums's many doxxings (back when Yea Forums was relevant lmao)

I don't see why this annoys people. If race doesn't matter, what's wrong with having a diverse cast?

I mean, let's say you write all your characters. Then once you have their personalities and roles in the story down, you decide what you want them to look like. Is there any issue with deciding that you want to avoid a homogeneous cast, unless your show is set in 1200's Scandinavia or Africa or some shit?

Elaborate?

>Michael B. Jordan
>finally made his own anime
The madman

I have no problem with it but do NOT act like you're helping society by doing so, it's entirely pretentious

It's leagues better than RWBY post-Monty
Kazoo best boy. Cammie best girl

Voice actor of Qrow in RWBY got accused of sexual harrassment (he's always had an image of a "lovable pervert" when it comes too fans, but it may or may not have been an act)

RT and Funimation fired him without definitive proof, which led to a LOT of fans getting pissed at both the companys and the VAs who supported the axe (like Goku's English VA)

>furry as best girl
Degen. Best girl’d be Miranda

Attached: FB40F903-C1D4-4F4A-B048-D270D6941893.jpg (328x328, 49K)

>Miranda
Wash your mouth, man, your taste is shit
Kaz is clearly best girl. You can't even dispute that

Attached: 1515994589047.jpg (357x312, 29K)

A man is entitled to his opinions, but fair enough. I just wouldn’t date a furry. Imagine the shit they’d do in bed

You meant Taz, right?

>Always wears bunny ears and tail\
>Purposefully made their mech as furry as possible (With massive THIGHS)
>Dataweb avatar is a bunny
>Specifically warns Kaz about going into her head
>Is up for anything
You just know she's into some messed up shit
I feel so bad for the team now post-Nemesis fight

Attached: 1549486340233.gif (192x256, 323K)

No screen shots? Fox is always a given, but the other news outlets is what I'm interested in. Is there examples of them calling Yea Forums Far left? Screen Shots? Links?

I have not seen a single episode of rwby. But I think I know the entire story up to the point because of shitpost and fanfic. Should I actually watch the show?

Attached: 708.png (540x675, 143K)

I think Based Nem nearly ripping out her core really fucked her psyche up, especially when she began modding it.

Attached: download (3).jpg (274x184, 9K)

It happened, it wasn't really good, but it also wasn't funny bad aside from the RWBY thing.

Scottish Furry basically carried.

By modding it I mean she managed to find options that would increase or decrease the level of courage or fear she’d feel

Not that Nem fight, the other Nem fight
The finale

oh, I didn't know about that
did they at least prove it?

no

I was talking about how the first one with him messed her up. Post-nem, what you’re talking about, is gonna be worse with a literal furry on their team.

But she was always a furry before she fought Nem. And she had the idea of THICC BUNNY THIGHS before fighting Nem
The only real thing the first Nem fight did to Cammie was give her PTSD every time she sees him

can't the guy sue their asses for diffamation?

Well yeah, I know that, but PTSD and being a furry don’t mix well.

How do you know this?

No, he's a white man and deserves no chance to defend himself

>Yea Forums was generally highly leftist before the great influx of 2016
Spoken like a true newfag. Yea Forums as a whole hasn't been left since the 00's. Yea Forums has always been full of more leftyfags than the other boards and on times bordering Yea Forumsmblr though I'll admit that.

Long story, pal.

I've got time

Attached: 1546703232567.gif (500x210, 1022K)

nah just watch MMD or stick figure fights instead
they honestly have a better story than RWBY

Who the hell are the guys on top?
I dont know shit bout the VA industry

THE UNION DID NOTHING WRONG

We don't even know the Unions motivations other from "They're evil"

Spoke like a true election tourist. Yea Forums's history is mostly apolitical but leaning left, with a strong disdain for hierarchies and convention. Newfags don't know this because they're, well, new.

I've actually noticed a fascinating phenomenon on nu-Yea Forums. It's become commonly accepted by about half the site that certain ancient memes developed here are actually new inventions from reddit or tumblr. This is clearly false, but the lie persists. I've realized quite recently that this isn't a malicious lie, though - the people that have poisoned Yea Forums culture by flooding the site in 2016 simply don't recognize these old phrases and memes because their culture isn't Yea Forums culture. They don't know anything about pre-2016 Yea Forums. What they think they know is what the recent media spin has told them, plus what they learned from a week or two of solely posting on /pol/ before spreading out onto other boards.

For example, it is commonly claimed now that the term 'summerfag' is a leftist SJW term created recently by reddit and shipped here as part of a transvestite psyops attack. Even ignoring how ridiculous this it face value, it's clearly false to anyone who has been on Yea Forums longer than two or three years - the term originated here as a reference to the way summer often brings an obnoxious flood of underage b& newfags. But the average election tourist doesn't know this. They are not actually lying, they just have no history on Yea Forums. When they got there, people started calling them summerfags for their retarded behavior, and because they had no context for what this meant they thought "This person must be attacking me not for being a retard, but because he's a lefty socialist degenerate. Therefore, this phrase must be from reddit." And because there's so many of these preening newfags, they canonized this among one another.

The same thing has happened to a bunch of older memes or terminology. It's pretty fascinating, actually.

Attached: what you have learned today is that anon is a retard.png (662x576, 475K)

>Don't see people talking about it
Because it already ended.

It honestly did some pretty fun stuff. The identity of the villain was REAL fun and the fact I managed to predict that (I'm magic) made me love it even more because they actually managed to go with what I theorized they could do with the mechanics of the show.

Anyway you should watch a few episodes and try it out, there's honestly nothing wrong with it aside from not showing the 4th Turning Republics' side which would have really completed the picture. But I suspect they are vague on purpose.

All we know about them is they are really advanced tech with nanomachines, they imprison and take "intellectuals", and like most evil factions look cool as fuck.

And they were apparently different when they first started since Taz says "Not my Union!"
Probably once they got nanotech down, they shifted their whole philosophy since no once can stop that shit

It's possible that intellectuals are having their minds assimilated by nanomachines to beceome part of the "swarm" or something like that and they exist as digital ghosts somewhat similar to gen:lock itself. Would explain Chase's sister being alive and in the net but having no presence in the real world.

Of course there's no real way to know that was even legit.

As expected. And the other news Outlets that Shared this view?

Well, they attacked civilians.
I'm still expecting a "the good guys attacked first" twist tho that would make the whole thing less manichean. Probably explored in a Yaz flashback episode or something.

Sorry I didn’t respond earlier, had work to do. I’m gonna try and make it short and sweet, ‘cause because you got time doesn’t mean I don’t.
Basically, had a friend who went off to Afghanistan back in 2010. Dude was cool, but he was a furry. When he came back in 2014, he looked like shit. Constantly having that 1,000-Yard stare soldiers often come back with. So me and some friends decided to bring him with us to the bar to cheer him up. We stayed for a couple hours, and when we were about to go back home we couldn’t find him. It took a while, but we found him, fucking the brains out of some guy in a fursuit while spouting some weird lingo and shit. When we tried to get him to come home, he looked at us as if we shot his dog or something, and started shouting shit like “Hadji” at us and attacking us. To be brief, he shanked one of us with a ka-bar and ran off before getting arrested with the furry he was fondling.
tl;dr PTSD and furries don’t go well.

Well, they're called the Union of the Fourth Turning. Look up that concept and you'll probably get an idea of what the ideology behind their actions is.

PTSD generally doesn't mix well with anything.

Yes, a few flaws could break it for some. Main character has is kinda boring due to a stale personality. You also don't get decent world building. No idea what the larger world map looks like or why they were in a stalemate. No idea what the union is like or how you can become a secret member if you live in another country.

Almost forgot. The sniper woman is trans and even though the future tech allows for a perfect gender switch she still suffers from a constant feeling she is in the wrong body and has made the change several times back and forth. I don't know if living in that kind of personal hell is supposed to be pro- trans or just bleak realism.

>deviant art oc tier villain(the ONLY member of the enemy faction we've seen that isn't a cannon fodder goon)
>boring characters
>we know next to nothing about the villains
>whole season is just playing tag with one evil guy
it was really fucking boring and forgettable
solid 5/10

I don't think they've even said where the Union originated from. Is it a "Union" of countries like the CIS?

I just like to discuss cartoons, anime, vidya games, and movies on this website. I do not deal in porn sir.

It's made by fucking Rooster Teeth. They stopped making good content after the 1st episode of RvB, and even that's debatable.
