appreciation post
She got captured WITH that loser, Steel Hawk? My appreciation for Crimson Lotus just dropped.
Probably the coolest Abe every looks.
It looks like he's trying to look cool
Yeah but there's no audience. So he's doing it for his own satisfaction, not because he cares what other people think of him.
Thus, he's cool.
Seems like a nice enough robit.
I think I'd have liked to see a version of this setting, where the big plans of the "we're doing it to save humanity!" bad guys got their way. Four giants bloated with souls, Memnan Saa and his dragon army...
That would be pretty neat
Okay, maybe they are not very nice robits, but they are at least polite.
So... how strong IS Abe? It's not easy to cut through bone. Or maybe I should ask, how weak these bodies are... could be that they're mostly muscle with bones designed to stretch and reshape for when they become giants...
Abe's pretty strong
>So... how strong IS Abe?
Well that's my point, I guess... I always got the feeling that he was weaker than Hellboy, but he's coming off as pretty damned strong, here.
OH IT'S THOSE GUYS
Yeah, the Oannes Society, an offshoot of the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra, who in turn can trace their roots back to the Left Hand Path, who were experts at alchemy, machine-craft and metal-working. Which neatly explains all their super-science, even the soul beacon, since the Left Hand Path knew magic and human souls were useful sources of power.
SAA!

When did they draw literally me into this comic?
anyone else not a fan of Liz? BPRD turned her into a proto-anime character with stupidly strong powers
Oh fuck not this comic
Ben ;_;
The way she was written, in Seed of Destruction, made her out to be potentially the strongest being in the world. That basically left two paths for her. She could remain untrained, weak and basically a plot device that villains sought after. Which they do about three or four times. Or she could train herself, get control over her power, and embody it fully. Which leads to her becoming a super-saiyan. I'm not sure I agree with her flying around and stuff, but when they establish that the first Black Flame could do it, and the third could, as well as the Sledgehammer and the original VES...
It's basically power-creep that happened with other characters, then the writers remembered that she had the same power-set. But it's a steady enough growth that, when you understand what it supposedly means, it makes sense.
Hey Daryl...
Johann's start of darkness.
Isn't that Panya, in the dream?
>The way she was written, in Seed of Destruction, made her out to be potentially the strongest being in the world
i dont really remember that. is it implied she's uber strong?
It’s outright stated, she’s the last practitioner of Vril (I think) or otherwise she is the container of the power source of the precoursors/First Men
Her power, guided by Rasputin, cracks open the Ogdru Jahad's prison, which is only supposed to be possible with the Right Hand of Doom. She also incinerates Sadu-Hem down to ash and sets Rasputin, who had previously casually pulled his head back together after Hellboy cracked it open with his pistol, seemingly permanently on fire. She does this while unconscious, but that just emphasizes her potential.
"The wizard mocked the scientists who tried to understand th epower locked up inside Liz Sherman. He thought he knew better than them. Thought he could reach down inside her and pull out just as much of that power as he needed. Pity. If he'd only asked me, I could have told him he was wrong."
So the power in Liz is too great and mighty for Rasputin, the guy who summoned Hellboy, blasted through all his defensive charms and was getting ready to end the world with his sorcery, to actually control.
>Chinaman
HOLY SHIT! He's from the Golden Crane, isn't he?!
A blonde and a redhead? Just what WAS on your mind, Johann?
oh damn
A man gets his glands back all of a sudden, and he make some bad choices. It's a classic tale.
>bad choices
it's fine, nobody knows
it's like masturbating while thinking of a coworker
OH SHIT, A MONKEY
HES GOT A GUN

New thread in a sec

Good ol' Lobster.
>Johann's player uses a respec and tries to tank
>Johann's player also tried to dual into being a grapple DPS/controller
>Johann's player forget to spec into DR and critical immunity.
New thread
much stronger than a human, much weaker than hellboy. physically alone, hes likely the third strongest person on the force at this point (4th eventually), and his strength is usually more speed related rather than pushing power. unlike some of the others, he had to tip that gas cart, rather than punch it open or throw it
also realize this is a universe where having a first and last name already makes you stronger than 90% of the population, not including the fact that the bprd equips their important agents with more charms, bells, and whistles than other people. liz is generally stronger than a regular person ignoring her fire, but that alone could be from her equipment and training
I never understood this.
he whispered into liz's ear long enough that rightly at least some of the bprd arnt to be trusted, and that gave him an in for her to trust him. once he was in, he took over and tried to connect to her power
unless you mean lobster. then uh... he does what he fuckin wants m8
I mean Lobster.
lobster is still trying to fix his past missions, but isnt johann level of spirit strength, so he can only really interact with roger and johan. because johann has been spending so much time in the basements where we saw some lobster material survived the fires, it was easier for him to help his body work together. for lack of a better term, he posessed johann at the end there
I loved it when abe was the accomplished version of hellboy
