I think that's the saddest part. The whole get males to hate it, is stronger then females actually liking it.
At last he has a personality. He's a manchild but he's charismatic and consistent in his behavior. Carol has half of that at best.
If he wasn't funny, Drax would be completely irredeemable. The only useful thing he ever did was holding a gun for Rocket.
It's unfair because all the other protagonists have been in more than 3 movies. All of them.
