>EXCLUSIVE: Redemption and second chances have long been superhero movie staples, and today it looks like life has imitated art. I’ve learned that Disney has reinstated James Gunn as the writer-director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and I’ve confirmed it with Marvel and Gunn’s camp.
>The decision to rehire Gunn –he was fired last July by Disney after alt-right journalists made public a fusillade of decade old social media missives that made light of pedophilia and rape — was one that was mulled and actually made months ago, following conversations with Disney studio leadership and the team at Marvel Studios. Why the change of heart? After the firing, Walt Disney Studios president Alan Horn met with Gunn on multiple occasions to discuss the situation. Persuaded by Gunn’s public apology and his handling of the situation after, Horn decided to reverse course and reinstate Gunn.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO WORK AGAIN!!!!
Logan Butler
>The social media messages were indefensible, but the filmmaker never did anything but blame himself for poor judgment displayed at a time when he was emerging from the Troma film factory and attempting to be a provocateur. There were no reports that Gunn ever engaged in the behavior he lampooned. Unlike the defensive posture exhibited by Kevin Hart that led him to skip hosting the Oscars, Gunn fell on his sword early and often and never lashed out at Disney.
>Ultimately, Gunn’s missives were poorly chosen words and not actions, though Disney’s quick trigger was completely understandable when the social media messages were first reported by outlets like Fox News. Those outlets reported that Gunn’s missives were exposed as payback for Gunn being a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.
>Gunn’s return to Guardians of the Galaxy 3 got complicated when he signed on to write and direct the Suicide Squad sequel for Warner Bros and DC. Marvel Studios has agreed to commence production on Guardians of the Galaxy 3 after Gunn completes Suicide Squad 2. Making the whole thing easier though was the fact that Marvel Studios never met with or considered any other director for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, despite speculation that Thor: Ragnarok helmer Taika Waititi and Vice helmer Adam McKay were in the mix.
>Marvel Studios has remained mum on all details concerning Guardians of the Galaxy 3, as the Kevin Feige-led division turned its focus toward Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. Marvel this week set Destin Daniel Cretton to direct Shang-Chi.
>Prior to his dismissal, Gunn had written a script which Marvel confirmed would be used for the third Guardians of the Galaxy installment. I expect Gunn to confirm all this as he supports the release of Brightburn, the David Yarovevsky-directed Elizabeth Banks-starrer that he produced and Sony releases May 24.
>There will be an inevitable chorus of those who will gripe about Gunn’s return, but creatively, Guardians will benefit from his return. The entire cast of the film was outspoken in its desire to have Gunn back, saying that those satiric tweets did not match his personal actions. The cast clearly loves him; Chris Pratt, Zoey Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Michael Rooker and Pom Klementieff all pleaded for Gunn’s return, in an open letter. The controversy shattered the camaraderie that the cast had with the filmmaker and put a strongly performing franchise in limbo. Marvel has done a great job allowing its filmmakers to inject their personalities into each franchise, and perhaps none has been as stamped by one filmmaker as Gunn on the Guardians franchise. The first two installments grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide, with the sequel out grossing the first picture.
>Soon after the announcement of Gunn’s firing, fans circulated a petition urging Disney to reconsider. On October 31st, a fan crowdfunded billboard went up in Anaheim, CA to rehire Gunn.
>Disney is days from closing its acquisition of the assets of Fox and while the company will always be family first, it is somehow reassuring that there is room for second chances, and for a good director to have a chance to overcome a colossally stupid mistake.
They know that post Endgame films will be a hard sale.
Justin Lee
>captain marvel is bland >disney/marvel cant have its space opera be dogshit >quick get the spice that we used to keep on the flavor rack! they had to dig in the garbage after they threw it out :^)
Matthew Harris
Sounds like desperation. Did Carl Danvers movie do that bad?
James Scott
And hiring a lelsorandumb movie maker will help?
Dylan James
His actions deserved the firing and his status was the only reason his actions were “accepted” by Disney, when any other workers wouldn’t get their jobs back for these kind of tweets Favoritism and lack of consequences for someone directing a talking racoon movie is what’s wrong with society
CM is making money but they probably saw Carol/Brie isn't going to carry the franchise which should have been obvious to anyone.
Robert Morris
And another loss for /poltv/ and they worked so hard to get him fired too. Also looks like DC loses another director
Connor White
Maybe this timeline ain't so bad after all.
Carson Diaz
Stick to one thread.
Easton Wright
>Gunn goes to DC >OK EVERYTHING IS FORGIVEN JAMES PLEASE COME BACK
Gavin Baker
First Fraser and now Gunn. It won't be easy, but if we hang in there, we're all going to make it.
Tyler Turner
atm it's looking like a BvS effect, strong releases but no legs.
Lucas Campbell
Are you a fucking retard?
Samuel Walker
It's first week has done better than some MCU films' entire runs. That said, reviews are really lackluster, especially in regards to the lead who is currently going to become the new face of the MCU. Even if her film ends up being a huge success, she's currently a big risk in dragging the rest of the MCU down.
Easton Stewart
More like, they couldn't get anyone to do GOTG justice, and those characters are already beloved moneymakers so they were desperate enough to hire him back
Grayson Young
no one cares about the tweets anymore
Gabriel Morgan
>they couldn't get anyone They didn't even consider anyone else
Isaac Cox
It's doing fine, but Larson wasn't great in it. She didn't display the charisma you'd need to anchor an entire franchise, like this, the way Downey, Evans and Hemsworth (once they let him have fun) could. It's possible the fault was with Larson, with the director, or with the script. But they're shoring up their bets by getting Gunn back. This res-secures the Guardians cast (though it may be shaky) meaning they can rely on them if needed, and they can use Gunn to write and direct Larson if needed as well.
Jayden Howard
No? Did you miss the part where it says "after he completes Suicide Squad 2"?
Jackson Sullivan
If he has the chance to get out of the DC dumpster fire you can bet he's taking it ASAP
They're either going to announce his departure later today or tomorrow
Joshua Bennett
The first two movies he did were smash hits, so...
Brody Barnes
>Captain Marvel had its world premiere in London on February 27, 2019, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 8, 2019, in IMAX and 3D. The film has grossed over $566 million worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing film of 2019. Critics described it as "entertaining, enjoyable and savvy" and praised the performances of Larson, Jackson and Mendelsohn.[5]
Bentley Allen
It did better domestic opening week than Doctor Strange and Spider-Man Homecoming, but I think everyone's waiting to see what kind of legs it has.
Daniel Collins
Seems to show that going forward people will have to sincerely apologize and change, and not be narcissistic jerks their peers all hate beforehand so their peers (not just their fans) will go to bat for them instead of celebrating their firing.
Dominic Bennett
>what kind of legs it has. It doesn't need legs when it's already a success. Only people waiting are people with an agenda to push.
Connor Allen
It's doing fine but mostly due to the Endgame connection and brand loyalty. The reviewers didn't really buy into her (look at the big gap between the general critics aproval rate, and the top critics at RT), and the character also seems not to have made a big connection with the general audiences. Feige and Disney aren't stupid and they can tell Carol/Brie can't carry the franchise once the main players leave.
TL;DR the movie is doing very well, but it doesn't look strong enough as a cornerstone for the post-Endgame phase.
Hunter Collins
That's a stupid statement. BvS was "already a success" until it crashed and burn on the second week. That won't happen with CM because even the worst case scenarios would give it better legs than BvS (even SS had better legs), but if Snyder's DCEU movies have prove anything is that big opening weekends mean jack shit.
William Ortiz
Only 600M so far
Jason Morris
>only $600 million in less than a week Oh the horror Marvel on suicide watch
Noah Ward
They could just fix that in the sequel, either do another "Winter Soldier" or "Ragnarok", whichever works
Ethan Morgan
That's high level for critics.
Kevin Robinson
That’s what I think they are going to do. Soft-reboot the character to be more likeable/relatable while surrounding her with other likeable characters. It will just take a competent director/writer (and ideally bred spending 5 days a week in the gym)
Benjamin Thomas
>Captain Marvel on track to make one billion >Shang-Chi movie coming up >Gunn back in business
Damn. Anyone who hates Marvel has been absolutely devastated. This week has been devastating for Marvel haters.
Daniel Moore
She just needs to be more likeable herself. Her supporting cast, Fury, Maria and Monica, Talos, and Yon-Rogg were all good.
Samuel Butler
I'm sure they're gonna try to "fix" her but having a proven hit maker like Gunn gives them a bit of a safety net in case they can't make it work. They'll probably want him to take the place of the Russos in directing the big team movies.
Aiden Hill
He's posting on Yea Forums(nnel), so yes. Imagine Guardians of the Galaxy Vol IV with Carol on it.
Ayden Bailey
>but if Snyder's DCEU movies have proven anything its that Snyder can lure people to his shitty movies with phenomenal trailers Fix'd.
sage Nope, he's working on both. He'll go back to GOTG 3 after finishing SS 2
Zachary Scott
Absolutely based. He deserves to finish the trilogy
Dominic Kelly
Where’s the argument?
Logan Nguyen
Because the Marvel franchise, especially now that they are about to get the X-Men and F4, is the direct opposite of what one could consider "desperate". Did you just not see this entire week?
James Richardson
The argument is that you all are desperately clinging to the idea that CM was somehow a failure even though all facts point to that being false and that you trying to bring that delusion up as being at all related to this specific situation is asinine.
Colton Sanchez
You're saying Gunn couldn't make a good ensemble movie with licensed music?
Ryan Perez
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
Leftists should unironically kill you. People tolerated you subhuman Nazis too long.
Noah Allen
You guys are faggots. Gunn has probably been shielding kiddie fuckers since the 90s but you dipshit manchildren don't care because you want your 3 hours of quips in space. I hope you all get New Zealand'd at the theater.
>He actually fell for the tinyurl tweet >He thinks that's what the video actually was LMAO you couldn't get more retarded
Elijah White
>Vin Diesel i keep forgetting they have vin diesel on paycheck just to say "i am groot" a bunch
John Peterson
God I love it when /pol/ gets btfo
Evan Hall
LOOKS LIKE MEMELORD'S BACK ON THE MENU BOYS!
Hudson Baker
Oh shut the fuck up! If there was a speck of truth to that, Disney's blood hounds as well as the internet would have found it and nailed him on a cross. Getting him back in the boat means they believe him to be completely harmless to their brand.
>/pol/ btfo But, I thought my Gunn-loving, Danvers-hating ass was /pol/? I'm confused.
Lincoln Perry
I can only theorize that this happened because >They know post Endgame is a gamble >Fan outcry over the abrupt pink slip >Captain Marvel was mediocre
Ethan Russell
Not to mention the cast threatening a boycott if they didn't use Gunn's script.
Parker Wood
Do you think Disney’s announcement timing of rehiring Gunn is a coincidence to New Zealand’s terrorist attack from the radical xenophobic right wingers?
Juan Howard
Maybe insofar as any outcry against it would remain muffled in the terror attack news. You know, like how governments instate unpopular laws during big sporting events.
I wish Gunn would say "I don't want to work for an employer who would silence me creatively," but if anyone has enough money to buy principals, it's Disney.
Nathan Brown
Schizo Aussie shut up a Mosque in New Zealand after dumping his manifesto on CrippleChan's /pol/. All over the news in the West user, dunno how you've missed it.
Jason Bailey
>Do you think Disney’s announcement timing of rehiring Gunn is a coincidence They fired him during last year's SDCC, so I'd imagine they don't consider such things in their decision making process.
Hunter Butler
It is obviously a planned terrorist attack by those radical altrights. Those murderers looks having military training if you’ve seen the video. Not like a mad man’s random shootings normally seen in US.
Dominic Bailey
>The social media messages were indefensible, but
>I'm not racist, but
Jose Cooper
This entire week has just been one giant upswing for Marvel
And they were already upswingling
Austin Brown
You dumbass, it's way more simple than that. They never really wanted to fire Gunn, they just didn't want anything that could potentially muck up the Fox merger. Now that Alan Horn's contract is out and the merger's more or less done, they can bring him back and look at that, the internet rejoices.
Blake Jones
It did well, but not well enough considering all the factors it had in it's favor. Brie doesn't radiate charisma like Robert did, and none of the other actors who are going to be left after Endgame do either. They're losing the main faces of the brand and they need ones who can hold momentum .
The only one who can probably is Black Panther, but that's too big a risk. So Gunn was likely kept in limbo until Marvel felt that the costs outweighed the loss of face for having to do a runback. So they bring Gunn back. Now because they fucked things up, GoTG3 probably won't be till 2022 at the earliest, but this also gives time to observe how well the other franchises are doing and by then it'd be ideal for pumping a shot of adrenaline into the brand if none of the other current face 4 characters can, AND it can drum up interest back for the MCU around the time the X-men and FF are gonna be fully integrated.
Juan Barnes
>Nutjobs somehow linking this to CM Fucking obsessed, may as well blame her for global warming. Glad he is back, I thought Guardians 2 was meh but it's his baby, let the guy finish.
user I don't think Gunn would want that kind of shit on his resume
Jace Fisher
>Nutjobs It's not crazy. Her movie did well, but reviews almost unanimously list her as a charisma black hole, which on movies that rely on star power is very bad when you're about to lose several faces of your franchise, and none of the ones you have left have the same level of pull.
Faced with that, what do you do? Do you gamble on hoping someone will rise up or do you hedge your bets for safety sake?
Hunter Jackson
>Not a failure, just not a success either. It is literally about to be a financial success by next weekend
Eli Price
We can forgive Michael Jackson, we can forgive James Gunn. Let past stay in the past.
Henry Lee
Saw it coming, the main thing Disney wanted was the heat to die down from that initial clusterfuck. They always want to maintain the family friendly narrative to their name at almost any cost. That and so many other scandals have taken up the news lately I doubt anyone but the most assmad of social media idiots even cares.
Ian Walker
>>Shang-Chi movie coming up
Can this retcon Iron Fist so Netflix "MCU" will be officially not canon?
Nathan Walker
>/pol/ going to get shut down by all the worlds governments >Pewdiepie going to jail >Gunn is back >The next president will be a democrat Will the right ever recover?
Caleb Butler
>>Pewdiepie going to jail Thought I saw that stupid name pop up on some feed but didn't want to click, please tell me you're not joking.
Hudson Martinez
All non-movie MCU are non-canon
Samuel Brown
No, but he would certainly want a DC movie as well under his belt. Deal was also most likely more of an ultimatum, which he took advantage of.
Mason Barnes
We should judge him by what he does in public and not by what happens in his bedroom. Hes a good director, everyone loves him and thats all we should care about.
Josiah Morris
I don't think this is an immediate reaction to the critics, as they have been in talks for a long time. It may be about the execs seeing the in-house preview of the raw cut, prompting them to not bet everything on Captain Marvel because they are human beings and have eyes. So they pulled every trick in the book to make CM do gangbusters at the box office while also getting Gunn back and probably planning several other movies without Brie Larson.
Owen Mitchell
The shooter apparently said to subscribe to Pewdiepie during the shooting.
Dominic Scott
The dude who shot up the Muslims said subscribe to pewdiepie before he killed everyone
Owen Powell
are these small figurines an allusion to gunn being a confirmed pedo?
Tyler Perry
Eh so nothing I guess, disappointing.
Camden James
based. we need to expose the childfuckers, no matter what the butthurt shills on Yea Forums are saying
Landon Thompson
worse, they will spread like aids
Christopher Peterson
No, the mass shooter quoted specifically chan memes and content to force everyone to act. As much people want Pewdiepie jailed, you can't jail someone just because some shooter says "Subscribe to Pewdiepie" while doing Fortnite dance over dead bodies.
Ryan Wood
>trump not winning in 2020 Its very hard for a sitting president to lose and his approval ratings are going up while democrats are throwing 100 candidates into the ring who all seem to be completely insane.
Easton Morris
Theres a huge difference between fucking children and saying that you're fucking children.
Believe it or not, you cannot fire people based on who they want to fuck.
Thomas Mitchell
I agree. Telling jokes about pedophilia means you're an actual pedophile, just like how telling jokes about removing kebab means you're actually going to shoot up a mosque.
Carson Martinez
It made money, but it's also been made obviously clear it made money solely through its circumstances, not through its own efforts. Its not like Black Panther where people saw it through good WoM. People went to see it for Endgame, not because of Carol, so she's pretty much fucked once endgame is over.
Charles Walker
but you can ridicule them. pedogunn pedogunn fiddling all the children that he cann
At current she's just a risk in ruining Endgame by being a final insert. At best however, she has a chance to be "Thor'd" where the first film(s) are lackluster and she'd find her legs in either the sequel or with a crossover with Thor. Everyone loves Thor after Ragnarok, despite mixed reception for the tone. Hell even before that, people thought the GOTG will just be rebranded to Asgardians of the Galaxy after the Gunn firing.
Doesn't mean there's repercussions. That's like saying you can post things ironically or dark jokes and you won't take hits from the media or twittertards .
Watiti, maybe? He's got an eye for fun and absurdist design, I think. That would be pretty nice for Jersey.
Juan Scott
If it makes a dollar above budget, it's a success on paper, but not truly a success. True ones tend to take less than a week, let alone two or three.
Besides, critically, it's not.
Owen Ramirez
With your logic, Spider-Verse wasn't a success either considering how it's opening weekend looked
Zachary Martin
Way to go Disney.
You finally did something right.
Lucas Morgan
I want Kamala with a thick ass Jersey accent
Jonathan Richardson
For Sony, Spider-Verse's budget was more of for a long term franchise, albeit a risky one. They were banking on Spiderverse's word of mouth and praise from the animation community besides the titular characters so they can make a universe out of it. Basically their answer to "The Lego Movie" and your usual Disney/Pixar films after the disaster that was Emoji movie.
It's not happening because as points out, it'd be exactly like fucking Homecoming. She's better off just being a supporting character in Carol's movie.
Henry Harris
> their answer to "The Lego Movie"
Doesn't seem the best move sales wise all things considered, they even replaced the writers like the lego movie. I know this because people won't shut the fuck up about the voltron people being the new writers.
Adrian Scott
Waiting for you retards to finally campaign to get Yea Forums shut down since you wanna be morally outraged about something
Cameron Cruz
Quads confirm. Captain Marvel is fucking tripe. I'll challenge anyone else that has seen this movie to convince me otherwise. Here is my opening statement.
WATCH MORE MOVIES
All you carolfags are fucking little spoiled princesses trying to pretend it isn't anything but. The movie was so legit cringe with all the 90's pandering, girl power garbage, and afternoon school writing. It was insulting to my intelligence on a cinematic experience attached to this MCU. Hearing the faggots in a semi-seated theater chuckle at the most stereotypical predictable gag. It was like clockwork I felt embarrassed paying money to see this.
Let's get into the static cinemaphotography. Fucking static, and lazy as shit. I had to force myself to stay awake. This hasn't happened since The Force Unleashed. The fucking acting coming from Brei Larson was flat and lifeless. If that was their aim to have a generic no-nonsense cunt; they succeded as I did not care about her at all. Let us also talk about the weak supporting cast. The little girl, bless her heart, cannot act for shit. Maybe the acting coach did not have the balls to tell her otherwise. Probably not as bad as the kid who played Anikin from The Phantom Menace. I could go on, but its fucking hurts. I haven't been this disappointed since TLJ.
Lucky for me I had stubs discount so it only cost about 5 bucks. It is by no means a trash fire, but its an awful disservice in terms of an empowering capeshit movie with a future lead to inherit the MCU. Disney fucked up with this mess.
>democrats are throwing 100 candidates into the ring who all seem to be completely insane.
Did you see the clusterfuck of the RNCs 2016 primary? Heated primaries aren’t a liability.
Aaron Reed
You know I wouldn't call any comic book movie good film making, or at least any produced in the last 5-10 years. They're just cheap entertainment churned out on a conveyor belt at this point, and Captain Marvel is probably the lower end of the MCU.
Disney should really think about post Endgame
Adrian Cox
I probably wouldn't care as much if fucking feminists did not make it out to be some be all end all movie.
Nolan Kelly
Predictably, it would probably see a good sequel spinoff like Lego Batman before it gets its "Ninjago". Ironically it's probably improbable for Spider-Verse to spawn its Lego Batman (Noir Spider-Man) since it's been announced that the sequel will be Miles/Gwen with a few Porker shorts.
Aaron Hall
They did the same thing with Wonder Woman. But in reality, it's just studios drumming up media attention and free buzz. But hey have fun pointing out to stupid people that praising Carol is essentially shitting on Black Widow and Wanda like their nothing.
Michael Russell
>Cape movies aren't as good as other films Shocker. Though I will say that the first two Raimi Spider-Man movies had more soul than post Iron-Man 1. Point is, people are starting to catch on after the filler that was Ant-Man 2, which I'm sure people only watched for Paul Rudd and Infinity War and not on its own merits.
I don't see how they could make another Spider-verse movie with anything besides miles
Blake Thomas
>Disney should really think about post Endgame They did. It's called X-Men and the F4. Also Doc Strange 2, BP2, Shang-Chi, Eternals and probably some other shit
Nathan Brown
At least Wonder Woman's wasn't nearly as bad as say Ghostbusters or Brie's mouth. WW was actually closer to Black Panther where only minor shit sitrred up but neither actually did a GB where they say "only haters/racists/sexists/magas won't watch it".
Hudson Bailey
Someone's mad.
Easton Cruz
Self contradictory sentence. The Spider-Verse is vast and they could easily pick one out of the wikia and do a kid-friendly adaptation out of it. Sadly, you're right in a meta sense that they're more prone to pushing the two teens that's more likely to resonate with the target audience than SP//DR, Spider-Man Noir or 2099.
Dominic Evans
It makes me wonder how well Captain Marvel would have done if the movie came out a year or two ago instead of being before Endgame.
Caleb Thomas
DISNEY IS DESPERATE MCU IS DYING
Matthew Myers
All I know is I'm dead tired of Marvel capeshit. Disney ruined capseshit with having to have everything attached to a connected universe. I'm not seeing any other Marvel flick until Endgame, and I'm done. I would not even bother, but need to know how it ends. How did something so fun get dragged out for so long to feel so underwhelming in the endgame? I can't even discuss any other capeshit movie without fucking fanbois blinding cumming at the logos of their favorite companies in defense.
GotG is probably the only other Marvel movies besides the first 2 Ironman, and Captain America movies I actually enjoyed. Everything else was just meh for me.
Daniel Perez
Because it's the equivalent of a tv series with months instead of a week to wait for the next "episode". Sorta a different expectation from the Raimi/Nolan years when people just expected trilogies from origin movies. Now people just expect origin movies that tie into Avengers.
>If it makes a dollar above budget, it's a success on paper, but not truly a success. True ones tend to take less than a week, let alone two or three. Yeah dude I don't even know where you're going with this CM had a production budget of ~175m, and made >550m international in week 1. The movie might be hot garbage but you'd have to be on some universe brain shit to think it's not financially successful
Joseph Cooper
What are you talking about, both had articles like that. It's almost like faggots will look for any excuse to write clickbait.
Xavier Young
AND SO YOU’RE BACK

Brandon Perez
So can we go tell Mike Cernovich to eat a dick now?
Lucas Cook
This gives me life. Jesus Lord. Now get all the alt Nazis out of our society.
Dylan Cooper
ALWAYS BET ON DAVE BABY THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN FUCKING DID IT
The actual, real life rapist and rape apologist Mike Cernovich? The one, that all the alt incels, including /pol/ subhumans got marchingorders from to start the bandwagoning?
I hope someone comes for him and every other massmurder supporting Neonazi
>I am totally just against capeshit movies >I am not moving to my next argument after my Neonazi bros failed with the last campaign
You will have to stick to your usual killing of kids in black churches and mosques then.
Alexander James
For all the talk about the right-wingers feeling "persecuted", guys like this, Shapiro, Posobiec, Owens etc, are pretty much untouchable based on their pundit status. Sometimes they don't even have to openly voice their minds, just nudge people in the right direction and you have an echo chamber of right-wing imbeciles.
Jaxson Lopez
The filthy Janitor is apparently one of the alt subhumans, assblasted, when pics about his dear Cernovich are posted in a thread, that is directly related to that Nazi and his ilk. But he is happy to have the whole /pol/ threads spammed here 24/7.
Hey Nazi Janni, go fuck yourself. I'll fucking post it again and again and again. Hope someone finds you and shoots your, like you subhumans shoot little kids in churches and mosques. :)
He obviously knows. He is being disingenuous. He is probably one of the guys, that pushed the smear, that was started by their alt Nazi leader Cernovich.
They allready tried this with different people, including some political commentators. They also got fired and rehired after people understood, that it was a smear campaign by these cunts.
Eli Myers
My guess is GoTG3 production wasn't going as smoothly as Disney wanted and decided to eat their words
Xavier Gonzalez

You are literally threatening terrorism. You should be investigated by the government.
>2009-era joke retweets >pedo ring This is some fucking pizzagate-tier retardation
Luke Gray
I think he's only returning because GotG is a passion project for him and a lot of people want him to go back. Also it's a big FU to those who wanted him gone and to the Mouse (to an extend because he's going to make the Mouse some money).
And he's also making them wait until he finishes his Suicide Squad movie so he's coming back in his own terms too.
After that then yeah who knows, but him coming back definitely made a lot of people butthurt.
Aiden Gray
It will probably do fine but it will heavily damage the success of future movies
Lincoln Collins
Except Pizzagate actually has strong evidence. The Gunn firing was always bullshit
Gabriel Morgan
A director who ignores everything about the character post and inclusive of civil war 2.

Asher Perez
Social media shit and live action shit needs to be banned here and then we can watch all the worst users fuck off.
Adam Evans
>Also it's a big FU to those who wanted him gone
I understand that, but I don't blame these people for what happened. All of this online outrage crap, whether it's the right or the left, is all mostly a game to them, and corporations like Disney enable them. They both sell puritanism in mildly different flavors, and I wish creatives would stand up and say "fuck this noise" instead of picking sides and keep feeding the internet hate machine.
Nathan Myers
>How did something so fun get dragged out for so long to feel so underwhelming in the endgame? Superhero comics have had almost a century of experience with that?
Jeremiah White
Bonus points: All those Roseanne fans whining about how unfair this is.
They've been just waiting for finalization of deal with Fox to have a good image in media. They never really planned to get rid of him. Guy's making good money for Mouse, and no one's throws away moneymakers.
Jose Jackson
Passionate love for kids is the only reason anyone would work on Disney.
