We are getting a BUMBLEBEE SEQUEL and a main series movie(not a TLK sequel but a main ensemble team movie set in the new universe)
>The main Transformers film franchise producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, stated he is currently overseeing the scripting of two Transformers films sequels. He said so as part of a bigger interview to a Japanese movie news website as part of the Bumblebee press tour. One of the films is the next big tentpole Transformers film to follow The Last Knight, while the other is a sequel to Bumblebee. Please keep in mind that the film following the last Knight was already said to be a new experience and thus may involve a new storyline rather than finishing what was started in the Last Knight. The Bumblebee sequel is said to be a buddy movie featuring Optimus and Bumblebee. So one would take place in the past while the other in the present.
>Here is a quote from the website: Throughout the day, Di Bonaventura talks with smiles," Our greatest mission is to the audience To be satisfied, "to meet the expectations of the audience." To that end, he and his colleagues are already working on a new series. "We are already working on two projects and are in the process of writing a script. One is the latest in the main family series following Transformers: The Last Knight and the other is a sequel to Bumblebee So, we are thinking of works where Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be the buddy (buddy), but when Optimus and Bumblebee are the movies of the protagonists ... how human beings get involved in their drama In the first place, the size is different between human beings and theirs .... It's a worrying point (laughs).
>Not ignoring Michael Bay series plot points Surprise
Charles Evans
We don't get a sequel to TLK. We get a big team TF movie set in the new universe.
Leo Peterson
Noooooooooooooooooo
Easton Cruz
That's the opposite of what's stated in the OP.
John Torres
Aha! Bumblebee did bomb. And they have to make a sequel to TLK Bayverse because of it.
Suck it G1fags/Nostalgiafags!
Asher Rivera
>One is the latest in the main family series following Transformers: The Last Knight what the fuck? Wasn't it confirmed Bumblebee was a reboot?
Jace Murphy
Bumblebee is confirmed a reboot. But it failed at the box office and made less money than TLK and lost to Aquaman despite trying to use nostalgia to cater to 80s fans.
Now Paramount is trying to appease the critics and 80s fans while still making money by also making a sequel to the Bayverse. Basically they are trying to have their cake and eat it too.
Evan Robinson
It doesn't state to be a sequel to TLK. I think they talk about a BIG movie with a team not solo.
William Scott
*breathes in* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Geewunners BTFO!
Brody Russell
is Hailee coming back?
David Diaz
>One is the latest in the main family series following Transformers: The Last Knight
It’s a sequel to TLK and the Bayverse. Bumblebee underperformed and made beaten by Aquaman (even Captain Marvel is beating it). They expected to make a billion easily through nostalgia and failed and made even lass money than TLK.
Now they are hoping they can make money from appealing to both.
Bentley Howard
You are an idiot. They expected it to bomb not make a billion.
Cameron King
>”BumbleBee didn’t bomb! Paramount said it didn’t and that they have faith in the franchise! They wouldn’t lie!” >Paramount: We have decided to not end the Bay/TLK Universe and will make another movie in that universe.
Owen Baker
It did bomb. They expected it to rape Aquaman and to make a billion. It’s why they pandered to Nostalgia fans of the 80s cartoon. It’s why they moved the release from November to December because they didn’t want to compete with Harry Potter(which is ironic since Fantastic Beasts bombed). But it didn’t. And it made less money than The Last Knight.
Bumblebee was a reboot of a new Transformers universe and it couldn’t bring in the money.
Now Paramount is going back to the old universe because they have no faith that BumbleBee/G1 can carry the franchise.
Jeremiah Young
COPE
Julian Murphy
Then why do we get a BUMBLEBEE SEQUEL?
Jeremiah Thompson
Disney should just buy out Paramount and Hasbro. They would handle the Transformers better and with respect.
Liam Rodriguez
So just don’t put humans in.
Its like Godzilla. We don’t go see the movie for the humans, we tolerate the human bullshit time wasting because eventually we get to see Kaiju.
I can forgive it simply because I never liked GI Joe. IDW must really have hurt if you did though.
Colton Jones
Bee didn’t bomb though, it WAAAAAY outperformed TLK globally.
Dylan Green
>Disney >respect I hate Yea Forums Just nuke this place already
Aiden Myers
No.
They keep waffling on it. They want Bayfags to see the sequels without alienating everyone who hates Bayshit.
So its going to be its own thing without trying to actually tie-in.
Adrian Nelson
Why are we getting a TLK sequel? If Bumblebee was a success, they wouldn’t have to go back to the old Bayverse.
Because BumbleBee is a failure and they don’t want to admit that it failed. It was suppose to be the start of a new universe and it has already failed horribly.
Now Paramount is trying to have their cake and eat it to by going back to the Bayverse for extra money and hoping that the new G1 Bumbleverse can take off eventually.
Alexander Walker
Bee was never said to be a reboot at any point. The opposite in fact. The producer gave a wacky interview questioning what a reboot even is.
Grayson Sanchez
Bee outperformed TLK but not as much as they wanted.
So they’re gonna do what the Resident Evil movies did. Slash the budget, keep the sequels coming.
Lincoln Howard
And yet it didn’t make a billion like they wanted.
And now they are trying to go back to the Bayverse and still pander to 80s fans in desperate hope of making money. Tis dad really.
Daniel Parker
Is anyone going to keep him on his leash? Because, seriously, this is getting stupid. Stupid beyond belief.
Both he and Bay confirmed TLK was the last of that line. Now, they're saying there's a sequel coming. Now, there's a buddy flick with Bumblebee and Optimus. I think he forgets (or hasn't been clued in) that Hasbro now has control over the franchise and will be taking lead, here.
Or, he's right and this whole thing is an utterly pointless mess. If they rescind what Bumblebee has started and actually DO go back to TLK, I'm out. I mean it this time. I only gave Bumblebee a chance because it was shaping up to be a reboot and had really good word of mouth. If they screw it up and throw that all away, the film franchise is ruined at that point. It'll be the first TF film I skip. Not just in theaters but in purchases as well. I'm not a pirate, don't believe in it and I wouldn't even go to that extreme to see it. I'll disavow the movies completely at that point. I'll boycott it from top to bottom.
This is a terrible idea IF Lorenzo is actually telling the truth and correct this time. (He's been wrong and proven wrong before.)
Landon Carter
Hasbro confirmed it to be areboot at NYTF this year.
If BumbleBee is such a success, then why would they be forced to backtrack and made a sequel TLK? HMMMMM???
Lincoln King
Damage Control. Bumblebee was suppose to beat Aquaman and make a billion and it failed (not to mention the huge ass marketing campaign). They can’t admit it so they lie and say it is a success. It is why they are making a sequel to The Last Knight despite “losing money”. Bumblebee failed to bring in a new audience and now Paramount is desperate.
*mic drop*
Samuel Bailey
Literally having two cakes and eating it too.
Describe the Bumblebee universe in vague terms so Bayfags and Anti-Bayfags see it, make cheaper Bayverse movies Bayfags will always go see no matter what.
The solution to making money but not as much as you spent is spend less, so you profit.
Daniel Gomez
You have to be 18 to be on this site
Easton Collins
>Dumbass just said a Beast Wars film would cost over $600 million and during Bumblebee's production called the film Transformers 6 (a designation actually used, really) Yeah right, keep believing what Di Bonaventura says, he's just trying to stay relevant.
Luke Moore
Anyone who thinks Paramount is going to do a sequel to a movie that forced out a CEO, nearly sank the studio and killed lucrative Chinese contracts is seriously deluding themselves. If they are, the movie is going to bomb. TLK BOMBED hard. It was the movie going audience already having enough of the Bay formula of eye candy with poor characters and story.
Bumblebee succeeded because of good characters and a story that people actually cared about and got behind. The last thing you want is to sabotage Transformers new momentum with a return to the failed formula.
Leo Garcia
>Bayfags wish on Monkey’sPaw collectively >They tease a Wrecker’s movie >Actually get either Beast Wars or Lost Light >Bay returns so he can make it more homosexually overtoned than ever
>Sony was such cunts they slashed the budget of the last one and not only did we lost potential, people died and got maimed >Movie still ended up making so much money >But still the last one with Jovovich I fucking hate Sony. Venom and Spider-verse were flukes. Also bad example mate, they are going to full reboot this, no more sequels. Transformers is more of an X-Men example.
Parker Rodriguez
And yet The Last Knight is getting a sequel. If they hated it so much, then why give it it a sequel and not just outright cancel it and keep the BumbleBee reboot universe?
>Bumblebee succeeded Oh really? I didn’t know it made a billion dollars and beat Aquaman and Captain Marvel?!! Oh wait, it didn’t. And it made less money than Bumblebee.
How funny.
Caleb Reyes
Fem Overlord a cute. >Bayfags wish on Monkey’sPaw collectively >They tease a Wrecker’s movie >Actually get either Beast Wars or Lost Light >Bay returns so he can make it more homosexually overtoned than ever I'll be there on day one.
Brody Russell
>You’ll never meet a Chinese pool-playing medieval princess cougar who’s secretly a Cybertronian hybrid that pilots a giant mecha and rules all the Decepticons in the entire universe
>Too bad you'll have to deal with her husband and they are happily married. Even in fiction, you are fucked. She's still mighty hot, though. And cooks nicely.
Charles Kelly
Di Bonaventura Is kinda an idiot, he hasn’t seen a tf movie since rotf
Ryder Cooper
He might be mistaken about the quality of the movies since Bay always managed to get award-winning actors on all of these movies.
John Gutierrez
This but unironically. I would love a Transformers movie made by James Gunn.
Could be he’s an idiot that said something wrong or the interviewer is stupid
Angel Davis
Apologize? He fully supported Knight, financed part of the movie, protected his creative input from dumbass executives, hired Megan Fox for TMNT after Spielberg fired her because senile jew, triggered both SJWs and /pol/ with TLK, and gets Oscar-tier actors on his movies. The Bayformers may be crappy but Bay himself is based. Teacher Cyclonus a hottie. Still makes no sense.
Jaxson Sanchez
No Gunn Wreckers or LL. He got rehired to do Guardians 3.
Anthony Allen
Captain Marvel a shit, apparently.
Jeremiah Rogers
Kino
Parker Scott
You G1fags(or rebootfags) are dumb. Bayformers teased fucking unicron. What did bumble bee tease? Ofc they're given it a damn sequel, end of thread.
Bentley Harris
They teased Memo cause he's never gonna get it.
Connor Smith
I liked it. Most people who are complaining either dislike the 90’s feel or think Skrulls are always evil.
Jack Wood
Yeah. Except they said the next Bayverse movie isn’t continuiting that.
Quintessa and Unicron porn will never be.
Connor Murphy
Should have hired Katee Sackhoff or Emily Blunt, honestly, but anyway. The 90's feel was half-assed and not necessarily evil, but make it ambiguous ffs. Conflicts are supposed to complex and here the Skrulls are too much like victims for audiences to ever feel good about them being killed if they are ever used as villains in the future.
Christian Young
I don’t think so. Heroes and villains into villains and heroes is kind of par for the course, and interesting villains like Loki and Magneto for example are great for that.
Theory many people are tossing around is a Fantastic Four period piece. They fight Skrulls in the 60’s, kill the leader and sever the Captain Marvel group’s ties to the Skrull Queen, then accidently travel to the present which brings Mar Vell’s attention to Earth due to an energy signature or some shit.
Luke Hernandez
>They fight Skrulls in the 60’s, kill the leader and sever the Captain Marvel group’s ties to the Skrull Queen, then accidently travel to the present which brings Mar Vell’s attention to Earth due to an energy signature or some shit. You, I like you. Anyway, this seems too intelligent for the current MCU, I seriously hope you are right and they do something similar.
Grayson Johnson
Not my idea, but it is one I like too. A great F4 for the post-Thanos era would be amazing too. Especially if you tie Spider-man to them. Not sure how well the current actor would work interacting with a Johnny, but you might get some fun with having a 60’s jock and a 2010’s nerd hanging out.
Justin Smith
As long as they do right by Johnny, of course.
Liam Ward
man why did he exists lol.
he was useless.
Mason Adams
So are the monkey things in the new IDW like Primeracon’s retarded hillbilly descendants?
Asher Gomez
Cut him out of the movie entirely and the movie stays the same.
Joseph Wilson
Wait, so...we have two movie lines running at once?
Hell if we know. Wait and see.
Brody Jenkins
yeah thats what happens when again, you make a movie about people instead of robots.
Zachary Cruz
Yes. I’m calling Beast Wars as a thing, they are totally the neanderthals who hitched a ride back to Cybertron.
They will evolve into Actionmasters.
Noah Perez
What things do you want to see or have happen in NüIDW?
I’ll go with pic related. Throne/Crown/Scepter/Wheel Of The Primes.
He basically exists just to try and downplay the movie being a robosexual love story, as if they were scared normies would object, but it's still so obvious, making him a pointless character.
Jaxson Powell
Ugh, this article would make so much more sense if Bonaventura wasn't a fucking idiot.
Nicholas Morris
Boco, when you are right, you are goddamn right.
Jackson Taylor
And this site would be better if you weren't such a faggot, but here we are.
James Walker
>as if they were scared normies would object I saw the movie about 4 times and I'll tell you, two of those times I heard girls sad that Charlie didn't stay with Bumblebee. What are they so scared about? Worst thing that could happen is that even more girls buy Transformers. Robophobes.
Mason Phillips
A one shot, or a few issues of a private event at Macadams. Give me dimensional shenanigans with him having alternate versions of characters talk with themselves. I know one of those books did it years ago with prime.
Noah Myers
So, it's another bay movie?
William Wood
The only way Bay comes back is if Paramount funds another one of his dream projects since they did that twice because Bay was done after DotM. They would have to be megaretarded to do that after TLK.
Christopher White
Who the fuck knows. Bonerventura dances around the POINT of a sentence like its a damn Mexican hat.
Lucas Morales
>no animated CG movie with same effects >no movie sequel with Hailee >focuses on humans and worst plot points of bayverse Why do they hate Transformers
Jason Davis
Look the only reason Bumblebee turned so good and was so G1 inspired is because Hasbro finally has creative input now, that dumbass is talking out of his ass as usual. Hasbro already hired Knight as overseer of the next movies.
Jaxson Walker
>Knight as overseer Did he give up on Laika
Robert Hughes
So that means whatever the next movies are, they'll be good. So now its just whether or not they follow TLK.
Jacob Price
>, it WAAAAAY outperformed TLK globally. >Bumblebee foreign $332m >TLK foreign $475 Bumblebee didn't even bomb so why lie?
Jason James
No, he didn't. He said he wouldn't direct another movie until he was done at his next Laika movie.
Hudson Butler
>no movie sequel with Hailee That would be very unfortunate. She was Oscar-tier, very good actress.
Caleb Sanchez
She put way more effort into a movie from a toy franchise than I thought.
Sebastian Taylor
>Please keep in mind that the film following the last Knight was already said to be a new experience and thus may involve a new storyline rather than finishing what was started in the Last Knight
Quit being a retard bayfag.
Nathan Nguyen
>She put way more effort into a movie from a toy franchise than I thought. I think everybody put their heart into this movie. At the end of the day it's a toy commercial, this one more than the others ironically enough...but still, this one is special.
Landon Foster
>She was Oscar-tier, very good actress. How
William Thompson
She had genuine romantic chemistry...with a CGI character. And I mean CGI, there were few props made of Bumblebee's robot mode. Most movies made last year had the romantic chemistry of a dead plant and this one featuring some CGI character managed to do it better and it wasn't even a romance 'officially'. Plus she carried the whole film. Cena's character was fine as well, but inconsistent due to reshoots.
