Man of Steel 2013

Kryptonian society is established without any of its members having any free will. Jor-El gives his son free will through the Codex, allowing him to choose to be good or bad. Every other Kryptonian is a simulation in a body, even Zod.

Batman v Superman: DOJ 2016

A period of a global division is experienced amongst all humanity, peaked in Batman and Superman, who almost kill one another.

Attached: false god.jpg (1903x1063, 233K)

In the middle of the film, we see the story jump to a Knightmare timeline where Batman's deepest fears are realized as he sees a fallen earth commanded by a malevolent Superman who kills him.

Suddenly, he is partially awoken from his Knightmare as the scarlet speedster tears through time and attempts to warn Bruce of the true evil of Superman.

Attached: Flash Returns from Apokolips.jpg (1920x788, 156K)

This probably gives Bruce further motivation to kill Superman, which we know he chooses not to later on.

Superman then dies at the hands of Luthor's Doomsday.

... following Luthor's extensive knowledge of 100,000 different alien worlds in the Kryptonian Ship's library.

The film ends with dirt on Superman's coffin rising, supposedly teasing his return.

Justice League 2017

The film starts with an invasion led by alien war-mongerer Uxas of Apokolips seeking to convert the unsuspecting Earth under his control.

However, his assault is fended off by an alliance of Amazonians, Earth armies, Atlanteans before the submergence, Greek Deities, and Green Lanterns.

Following Superman's death, his aged uncle Steppenwolf seeks to end his extensive enslavement under his nephew's thumb now Darkseid to join the array of the New Gods in his home, he finally returns to Earth and reclaims his conquest by retaking his three change engines called Mother Boxes.

With said Mother Boxes, Steppenwolf would utilize the fear, alienation, doubt, and dissolution the world is experiencing to power his Parademon troops and convert the Earth with his change engines with no protectors to stave off his conquest.

However, the newly formed League utilizes one Mother Box with the help of Cyborg to resurrect Superman.

Cyborg fails to do so, but only continues the plan after sensing a foreign material in Superman's body: The Codex.

The end of the film shows Steppenwolf escape to his home in Apokolips through a boom tube, briefly showing the League a vision of Darkseid.

The world is saved.

After Credits scene depicts two Green Lanterns appearing to Bruce at his lakehouse as they traced the Motherbox to his property, warning him of a coming war.

Justice League: Apokolips 2020

Batman senses the threat unending and not fully finished, and through the introduction of a few Green Lanterns, convinces the rest of the League to take the fight to Apokolips.

Superman feels a call to duty but remains hesitant to leave Lois as she has become pregnant with his coming child, but is convinced by Bruce to go.

Lois stays with Alfred in Bruce's penthouse as further measure of safety.

Wonder Woman feels to call to action, and knowing about Bruce's dark dream, joins in but with lacking conviction.

Flash and Cyborg remain hesitant and fearful but embark as a duo after Cyborg's previous visions with the Motherbox depicts a coming conflict.

Aquaman first attempts to refuse as his kingship to Atlantis leaves little choice for flexibility, but is again convinced to join by Mera leaving Atlantis in the hands of his mother and trusted advisors.

Attached: JUSTICE LEAGUE 2.jpg (1473x840, 277K)

The league then uses Bruce's argument Flying Fox to leave the Earth as Cyborg opens a portal to New Genesis, where an alliance between the New Gods and the Green Lanterns await for a coming war.

By the closing of the film, Darkseid's forces eventually overtake the League and the Lanterns as well as the Gods, destroying their chance to return to Earth.

Darkseid then uses the Codex within Superman's DNA and engineers it as a weapon to manipulate Free Will to his beck and call, turning

Superman and the universe upon itself.

And with Superman trapped here without a yellow sun, Darkseid embarks to Earth with his armies to conquer the world without any of its metahuman deterrents.

Batman's tactical plans fail and turn the League against him, fully cementing his isolation when Darkseid levels the entire Earth killing billions and transforming it into New Apokolips.

The League then return to a fallen world after a long period of time, eventually disbanding one by one.

Once a bastion of goodness, Superman's second homeworld lays dead along with his mother, wife, and unborn child, and under the intoxicating influence of Anti-Life, he wrestles away Earth from Apokolips, killing Darkseid and establishing his Knightmare Timeline.

Justice League: The Final War 2022

Metropolis is gone. Gotham is gone. Themyscira and Atlantis have died..

Superman Is.

Following Superman's overthrow of Apokolips of Earth and subsequent rise,

Batman attempts to launch an assault upon the Kryptonian by locating the last remaining piece of Kryptonite once used to kill Doomsday.

Before he embarks upon this plan, he sends Flash and Cyborg, the two remaining Leaguers willing to cooperate, back into time as he remembers to warn him about Superman's evil side and the coming war.

Cyborg and Flash construct a cosmic treadmill to send the Flash back into time and stop Bruce from sending the League to space.

Meanwhile, Superman enprisons and executes Bruce, blaming him for taking his world away

Flash appears to Bruce in 2016 before he fought Superman, then steps off of the treadmill and tries again successfully before dying last.

With the message now in the past, Bruce reunites the League with evidence of the fallen timeline, bringing together the original six (Batman,

Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash), along with the newly arrived Green Lantern(s) and fight back Darkseid.

With knowledge of Lois's importance as the Key to the mixing of the Codex with Human DNA, he keeps her away while developing a gun that can kill Darkseid from the Knightmare timeline.

Darkseid and his forces arrive, but now the League has the home-field advantage, and with the UNITED SEVEN, along with the armies of Mankind, Atlantis, Themyscira, and the coming Green Lantern Corps, Darkseid's forces are pushed back.

Despite the wide victory, the Leauge is heavily damaged and Superman significantly weakened.

Darkseid then personally attempts to take Lois's child, then newborn during the global battle as the Key to unlocking the Anti-Life secret.

Attached: JUSTICE LEAGUE 3.jpg (1920x1080, 740K)

But before he kills the child, Batman steps between Lois (the world) and Darkseid with his Anti-God gun, killing Darkseid.

Before Darkseid dies from the shot, he launches his tracker Omega Beams to killing Batman.

Superman and the League mourn Bruce's death as he holds his charred body before the world in the last moment of victory.

The world rejoices as Darkseid and his demons have died, gaining many more heroes in lieu of Batman's death.

Attached: batman dies.jpg (1134x575, 191K)

Superman and Lois Lane then name their child, their newborn son, Bruce Jonathan Kent, in honor of the man who truly saved the world.

Some of it fit with what people have said to be Snyder's original planning, as well the old Will Beal's Justice League script.

I'm asking because after the JL movie, everything gets too shortened. So i wanted to know if there were more details about the later movies. Like why is the Codex so important? Where's Wonder Woman? What happens with the New Gods?

AFTER CREDITS TEASE

Attached: LEGION.png (1842x1094, 3.02M)

They cut the codex out when they revamped JossticeLeague

New Gods and GL come to aid of the JL in JL3

just like the final episodes of JL Unlimited

Sure, but what it'd do? Why is it so important? How it relates to Lois and Superman's eventual child?

Yeah, but happened to them in JL2? You just said Darkseid overtake them. How? Anything else of note in New Genesis?

>Leauge

>Darkseid only being Darkseid for less than 10k years
Why though? What's even the point?
>The ALE is just a reversed codex
What a load of shit, thank fuck this didn't happen
Why would flash warning Bruce about the future matter when he's already warned him in that timeline? BvS is part of the "new timeline"

Darkseid wasn't always Darkseid, he was Uxas once,

>Bruce Jonathan Kent
Who wrote this, J K Rowling?

Yeah, but why have him only be Darkseid for about 5000 years? That's a blink of an eye for someone like Darkseid. And to be honest, why bother with the uxas stuff anyway? It's a mostly pointless detail, Steppenwolf being sent to earth and failing would work better as you don't have to explain how uxas became Darkseid and it furthers Steppenwolfs need to get out from under Darkseid

Dunno, maybe they had plans of showing some internal New Gods politics.

>it turned out the secret baby was your hidden brother the whole time!

The Codex gave free will to Kal-El

If it can give Free Will to a baby as well as hold the DNA of all Kryptonian genetic code

Darkseid can re-engineer the code to be an Anti-Free Will Equation or as an ANTI-LIFE CODE

Weakens Superman from lack of Orange sunlight at Apokolips and takes his Codex; uses it to destroy everything

They werent in in the first JL, like how the GOTG werent in Avengers 2012 since they werent even a property

this better not be bait

The Codex didn't give free will to Superman, Jor and Lara fucking the old way is what did it. The Codex was nothing but a glorified bottled City of Kandor.

Totally Not Zack Snyder (or J.K. Rowling)

tl;dr

it was shit?

I guess, at least it would do SOMETHING with the codex, since so much time in MoS was wasted on it.

But this is why I'd also still want Zod to survive MoS, and become the Vegeta of the group. Then you'd have a man who was raised in essentially Darkseid's anti-life paradise, who refuses to knee before him. That way you'd have Zod redeem himself by breaking free of his genetic enslavement the way Jor-El had.

But no, just snap his fucking neck cause it seemed cool at the time!

No, the codex contained the genetic instructions for all kryptonian life. The reason Clark had free will was because he was conceived and born naturally and wasn't genetically engineered and pre-programmed like the rest of Krypton.

Give you three guess, last two don't count

>The Kryptonian Citizen Registry Growth Codex (or simply the Codex) was the remains of an ancient Kryptonian with whom modern Kryptonians shared an identical genetic makeup. Kryptonian society developed the technology to read and later implement the genetic sequences of the remains to fetus models with the Kryptonian Genesis Chambers so as to establish artificial population control, thus producing citizens fit for a predetermined role in Kryptonian society upon birth.
>Though never stated, the Codex and its capabilities mimic the concept of the bottled city of Kandor from the comics as both are used as a means to not only bring deceased Kryptonians back from death but also help create a new Krypton.

Not according to Snyder, if I recall. See, both his parents were scientist, right? So, he'd still be coded as a scientist. He could be anything because of the Codex, because that's how Snyder envisioned it.

I don't agree with that theme either, but that's what the intention was.

Source on him saying that. The movie made it plenty obvious that the Codex was simple the thing that held the genetic makeup of the Kryptonians. Zod attempted to seize Kandor's main Growth Codex with the intention of purging any bloodline deemed weak in hopes that the movement would cause a restorative effect to the race and their dying planet. Making it obvious the Codex was supposed to be the new bottled City of Kandor.

I'll take a look, but if I don't find anything... maybe I'm just wrong.

>“It’s inside of him — he’s pretending to be Kryptonian without knowing it,” explained Snyder. “It’s an affinity towards what’s natural in the Kryptonian culture.”
There it is. Apparently its from a live Q&A on the home video release and it explains why kid Clark struck the pose with the cape at the end of the movie, which basically confirms that the codex did indeed influence his actions.

Which is stupid when you think about it and it ends up going against the whole underlying theme of the movie which is choice and how much Jor-El stresses that Clark was conceived so he wouldn't be forced into a role needed for society. But whatever...

I think that was just Snyder trying to give an answer to some nitpicky question.

You mean the real answer Clark was wearing the cape was because it would look cool in a trailer, and Snyder directs music videos?

Because it's hero shit. Clark is playing hero as a kid, with cape and all. But then they realized they'd have to explain how Clark knows that heroes wear a cape, because this idea was ingrained in popular culture by Superman. So he came up with the kryptonian affinity thing.

And i don't feel that takes away from Clark having a choice. He's kryptonian after all. Some stuffs are hardwired. He's just not as hardwired as the rest of them.

>See, both his parents were scientist, right? So, he'd still be coded as a scientist
His scientist parent proved to be a better combatant than the born soldiers, it means fuckall, both intentionally and unintentionally because it's not exactly a smart movie

Jor was the only one to fight back, and Jor had been preparing himself for that moment because he knew shit would go fuck once anyone learned he made babies the old ways. Come on, user. Jor didn't even put up much of a fight. Zod also wasn't expecting it.

The implication is that Zod is an idiot who was born as "General Zod", but never actually trained for real world scenarios. His fucking coup is stopped in minutes! He'd too blockheaded to even lie to Clark about his motives. Zod was presented as so incompetent, it was laughable that he'd have to killed in the end.

Attached: detention report.jpg (523x380, 45K)

>He'd too blockheaded to even lie to Clark about his motives.
Zod wasn't trying to lie or convince Superman to side with him, dumdumb. Zod was testing Superman's loyalty. You know, like a jihadist would do with a muslim. Because that's what Zod was in the movie. He was an extremist muslim who didn't wanted to integrate, but instead taken down Western society, while Superman was an integrated muslim immigrant. The 9/11 imagery is there for a reason.

>You know, like a jihadist would do with a muslim.
Cool, they have infidel skull pits to dip new recruits in?

And great, now Snyder isn't JUST a hamfisted, hack director, he hates Muslims! Great.

Zod just showed what the sacrifice for Krypton to rise would entail, both as a taunt and to see if Superman would act out. Superman acted out. Jihadists usually do this type of thing. They force you to admit that all non-believers should die and that the western society is a plague that must be destroyed, and even if you're a moderate what you're going to do?

And i don't think Snyder hates Muslims, since Superman's supposed to be a Muslim immigrant that integrated himself.

>I want vegeta sod
>breaking free of his genetic enslavement the way Jor-El had.

Neither broke fee and you're a fucking casual who I hope fucks off to some other hobby soon enough.

so basically it all boils down to the codex being the missing piece of the anti-life equation that Darkseid comes upon by happenstance cuz he's just a super lucky dude like that.

well it's shitty enough be like some snyder shit but it just doesn't shit all over the characters and misunderstand them completely like snyder.

>but it just doesn't shit all over the characters and misunderstand them completely like snyder.
God, you're such a faggot.

you suck your moms dick with that mouth boy?

kek absolutely true
