after seeing Carol and Goose play with the cube like it's nothing, does this particular scene counts as being "powerful enough to wield an infinity stone?"

carrying it without using it's power is not wielding it
vision can carry thor's hammer. he can not wield its power

They just picked it up, neither had any intention with it. Skull's overall desire for power probably is why it took him to the Soul Stone. Not to mention the stone was only "active" in WWII and during Avengers, all the years in between in was in a sorta of standby.

>vision can carry thor's hammer. he can not wield its power
Where was this ever stated? No one could even lift and besides him and Thor, even Steve could only budge it very slightly. As far as I could tell he very.much could wield it if he wanted to.

There were so many terrible story decisions in avengers 2.
The worst one was vision,

he didn't wield it, he had to use machines to suck up power and actually use some of it

Didn't GotG establish that if one doesn't have special genetics it doesn't matter if you have intentions or otherwise?

But the stone is inside the cube, so you don't have to be AS strong to just touch it. And in GotG that was specifically the Power Stone, which seems to just blow shit up if used undirected by another stone.

I'll add that the real reason a lot of things with the cube worked the way they did is because they weren't really thinking about all this specific bullshit as Captain America 1 was being made. It was just a good Mcguffin.

Nice thread

weeee

Thats your head canon. They never said he could not. Its always implied that if you can lift it, you get the power, its literally on the fucking hammer.
>whoever holds this hammer

Now hold on, user has a point. The hammer probably doesn’t register Vision as a living thing. It’s the entire reason why they even joked about the elevator argument

Honk

But the incantation Odin put on it was "Whomesoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall have all the power of Thor." In the comics if you were found to be worthy of holding Mjolnir you essentially became a new Thor, lightning powers and all. Stands to reason Vision COULD have used Thor's powers but had neither the reason or opportunity to do so

Got me

>not alive
>magically brought to life ala Frankenstein's monster
Stop.

HOL UP

Wanda used the scepter to give Pietro powers from the Space stone, which the sceptre can channel from.

Red Skull outright states that the Space Stone punished him by sending him to the Soul Stone, implying that it was sentient in a way.

Seems like Carol and Goose just didn't make it mad.
