Youtube started to pay people and got more traffic than ever
Steam made regular games more acessible and cheap making flash games near pointless
Deviantart format is way way better to socialize with fans and other artists

It didn't adapt. The website still looks like something out of 2008 and better things came along.
Now we're all just waiting for better things to come along than youtube, steam and deviantart.

That was the idea until that fell apart from the boom and rise of "content" creator channels.
Now its a bubble machines of ifs and buts when it comes to making any kind of cash flow.
Kinda sadder too when the whole safe for work stuff isn't even for the audience who watches but is more intended to please some executive in a suit from ever sending you an email [and even then they'll still find something OFFENDING in your video]
