So why do people hate this movie?

The fat inhuman blob in the blue dress, of course..

I like this movie

The characters are on point, even Rosie, but the story kinda stinks

I dunno, I always just fast forward to the Halle Berry parts. I don't think I've ever watched the film proper.

Yeah, she could act the part, she just didn't look the part.

Also, I would argue that it is the best cartoon-to-live action adaptation we ever got.

Who was this made for

I watched that in the cinema.

I don't know how I forgot Rick Moranis was in this.

The story was meh. You want a film with Fred and Barney being best buds and we ended up with a story that forced them apart.

The visual style was also a bit off, too much plastic looking rock.wood.

>Wilma was a 6-foot tranny
>Betty was a fat lesbian
>Literally EVERYONE ELSE was casting perfection

It's just so bothersome.

If only we could swap the women from the sequel.

John Goodman and Rick Moranis were perfect casting choices, but they couldn't save a lousy script. Same was true of the first Scooby-Doo movie.

I enjoy Viva Rock Vegas

Or the porno

It's a family movie. Something both kids and parents can watch. See Police Academy and Ace Ventura films, for example.

Movies like this were used as "training" for kids so they would learn to watch something else than cartoons. They're somewhat cartoonish but not animation.

>Sam Raimi

Why?

is Wilma the chick from My Girl?

There's plenty of great live-action movies with an animated energy. You mentioned two good ones, there's also The Princess Bride, and classic slapstick comedies. Flintstones is just not a good movie.

Clearly you aren't familiar with the Lil' Abner films

Well, Space Jam wasn't particularly good movie either, but me and my friends loved that shit as kids.

It's the tall blonde from 3rd Rock from the Sun

Holy shit Fred is Robert Baratheon

They made a cartoon out of it just like Ghostbusters and MIB. I refuse to believe it was anything else than a family movie.

Was suprised at how bad its aged. Same with Looney Tunes back in action.

When you compare it to Who Framed Roger Rabbit which is as just as good as it was when you were a kid (except now you can actually understand the plot)...

They made a cartoon series of Toxic Avenger, a fucking Troma movie.

Post proof that halle berry was in this

It was the 80s, they made cartoons of fucking everything. Aliens of all things almost had a cartoon.

Return of the Killer Tomatoes has a literal sex slave character who spends the movie talking about blow jobs and going to sex toy and porno shops. They adapted it into a Saturday morning cartoon.

There was no threshold for what media could be adapted for kids.

I remember trying to eat french fries when the giant pterosaur shits on the car as a kid.
I had to put them down because i lost my appetite.

But these kind of goofy movies weren't particularly harmful to kids, they had elements children could enjoy and the more adult-oriented comedy for the parents.

I remember when I was 11 and I watched A Fish Called Wanda with my father which I consider my first "adult movie" and it was very different.

Wait, who hates this?

People didn't like that movie?

They also made a cartoon series based on Robocop, but that movie is definitely not for kids.

Studios would make anything into a cartoon to make more money from the franchise

Everbody hated it more than Alita

But... Robocop was like every boy's idol, along with Terminator.

This really explains Fembusters

>when they made Robocop 3 specifically making it appealing to kids

I remember them promoting it really heavily on kids TV here too. Then it came out and everyone tries to forget it exists.

I like Roger Rabbit way less now as an adult. But I won't deny that it is a cut above those other two.

kek

it was mean spirited

>BOW, YOU RUBBLE FUCKING SHITS

How are they not I had seen them all before I was 10.

Does Universal still own this or did the rights go to Warner Bros. with the Turner buyout?
