I haven't read the IDW TMNT but can I read the Batman/Turtles crossovers without knowing all the story or will I be lost? I've read the Mirage V1 ones and saw TMNT 2003 if that helps

Yeah. Batman/TMNT doesn't follow either continuity but is instead "inspired" by the New52 Batman and IDW TMNT continuities. So you can jump in fresh without having to know much about either storylines since it's non-canon.

Yeah, it's pretty self contained. You'll barely read one or two names that are IDW exclusive characters, but that's it.

Take note that's based in the Freddie E. Williams crossover, because there's another based on DCAU's Batman meeting Nick's CG turtles.

Also, when is the third Bats/TMNT by Williams and Tynion crossover comming? I hope they mutate Batman this time.

I thought it was later this year, wasn't it? I'm not really hyped for it, though, since Batman/TMNT II was really, REALLY bad (except for the art; what a waste).

The third one is supposed to conclude the trilogy, it'll be in May 1st.

It's not what I think of when I think of the go-to artstyles for Batman or TMNT, but honestly it looks good and I am hyped for it.

The Turtles themselves jobs regularly to Shredder alone. Not really that offensive. Also, Batman's entire villain gallery jobs hard to Splinter in the original and Batman himself needs a turtle based armor to not be killed by Shredder, so I think it balances the things.

Killer Croc would have been perfect for this movie.
