What was the song that played as they all marched into the store? I liked the beat.

Easily the worst Futurama ep. At least they got better after that season.

Wheeze

No. Explain.

But that's not Neutopia.

haha nappster, get it??

Episode would have been funny if it was not filled with weird scottish singing wart for 2/3rds of it.

>Easily the worst Futurama ep.
Nope, the worst is the cat one. (who only had one good joke, even if it was areally funny one). this overall get me laugh all along. also, the Goat thing was hilarious.

this counts as body horror

I don't see how it make anything bad.

i dont get it...

Thank you! I fucking hate that episode!

Which episode was that

I think the cat one was so bad in part it was like the 8th episode of the series where some kind of alien monster takes over earth and not even the first mundane human looking thing attempting to take over earth.

It was stale by Futurama standards

They explained somewhere that the first few episodes of the new Futurama was meant to play catch-up on stuff that had happened between cancellation and resurrection. After that, it was business as usual until second cancellation.

At least a great meme came out of it.

>to play catch-up on stuff that had happened between cancellation and resurrection
what the fuck does that mean

The show first ended in 2003 and was picked back up as a series in 2010. A lot of stuff happened between then, and the first few episodes of the reboot reflect upon those changes.

why does a show set in the 31st century need to reference or parody things from the 21st century anyway

Because it has viewers in the 21st century, and in the 21st century that's how the formula for adult animated comedy series works.

Fry, who was frozen in 1999, was meant to be the character most like the audience, but how did that work in the latter-day episodes when Fry himself was more than 10 years out of date compared to the audience?

Mostly this; I think they wanted to get it out of the way so that they could move on to better ideas without the inevitable "When are you going to make fun of Twitter?" questions.

Fry developed into a being whose dated appearance and mannerisms did not define his character and personality. The joke isn't simply that Fry is from the 90s, the joke comes from Fry's fish-out-of-water position and his ability or inability to adapt.
