Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FULL TRAILER

They're adapting the first Batman/TMNT miniseries by Tynion and Williams. Batman and the Turtles had a fight but Batman cleaned their clocks, then they teamed up.

Isn't that the case with most of their animated films?

Also, I'd hardly classify the majority of them as D-List.

Who is the A-list cast for the DC direct to DVD movies, exactly? Anything other than Conroy and Hamill? I mean, I don't like Tara Strong as Harley anymore than the rest of you, but everyone else in the cast seems OK (Troy Baker's Batman and Joker aren't bad, even if his Joker is just a Hamill impression).

The Turtles are all voiced by Literal Whos, but they sound OK. I'm better with that than if Nick had made WB use the Rise cast or the cast from the CG series for synergy.

Hamill has destroyed his vocal cords and can't do his classic Joker voice anymore, just a tired old man version of it. Troy genuinely sounds more like classic Hamill Joker than Hamill does.

Troy's Batman is just OK, but seriously, I'm so fucking sick of Conroy as Batman. And he sounds like he's sick of it, too. His performances lately come across like he did one line read and cut out of the recording session after an hour.

Looks okay although I think the art style doesn’t work with the dialogue. It looks like it’s for kids (like one of those Batman toy movies) but has Ralph swearing so it is a tad odd.

No, Batman doesn't lose to Splinter in the fight. Splinter just blocks his attacks long enough to throw a smoke bomb and retreat.

Shredder is a terrible fighter. Just saying. A rat is better than him.

I think he looks somewhat cute with that cartoony head and big round eyes.

Eric Bauza's not really a literal who if he's also voicing Bugs and Daffy in the upcoming Looney Tunes Shorts, or appears in almost every cartoon nowadays.

I guess it depends on the universe, but yeah, Shredder is not usually portrayed as some unstoppable peak of martial arts ability. In the Mirage comics he was the fucking entry level villain that died in the first issue. In the 80s show he was a joke. In both the 90s movie and the 2003 show, he could hold off the Turtles but always, ALWAYS lost to Splinter. In the 2012 show he was all over the fucking place in terms of ability (but again, usually lost to Splinter).

IDW TMNT made him kinda suck, too. The Turtles stomp him in issue #12 and while he gets the better of them in #50, he once again, gets wrecked by Splinter. The Batman/TMNT miniseries isn't tied to any continuity, but the Turtles and Shredder are based off the IDW versions in that comic.

I think we all like the IDEA of Shredder, but history shows he's honestly kind of a shit villain even when the media takes him seriously.

Yeah, that's correct. Shredder always beat the fuck out of the Turtles in the 2012 series. But he fared worst against Splinter than any other incarnation of Shredder, I think. Maybe it was the repetitive nature of the Nick TMNT cartoon, who it constantly looped through the same plot points and hit the reset button, but every time Shredder trashed the Turtles, Splinter would show up and fuck him up easily (but then "die" and make the Turtles sad). He had to turn into Super Shredder to in order to finally beat Splinter for real.

True. But as you say, that was probably the nature of the show.
Also Super Shredder was garbage. He was more threatening as normal Shredder. But then again, they suddenly overpowered Leonardo whenever the plot was dawdling too much and he became super competent.

Wonder how Rise will handle Shredder. I mean I take it that's what all that armor they are gathering is for.
