golden age Shazam
Golden age Spirit
would be some great Hardcover Omnibuses

>anyway: What Omnibus collection would you like to see?
Do you mean DC only? I'd like to see a New Mutants and Excalibur omni.

New Mutants one would be cool (never read excalibur)

Golden Age Plastic Man would be awesome
Same with Will Eisner's The Spirit
Same with Shazam.

Okay, the reason that these aren't omnibuses is the original stories are in public domain. so if DC tries to publish them, cheaper immitators could come, and stop them.

>What Omnibus collection would you like to see?
Fantastic Four Vol 4
Silver Surfer Vol 1 & Vol 2
Peter David's Hulk Vol 1 - 8
Swamp Thing Vol 2 (Alan Moore's complete run)
Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos Vol 1

if they're public domain, why hasn't anybody done it yet?
>What Omnibus collection would you like to see?
Karate Kid

Because DC owns the trademarks, and its hard to get around that,.
Also, good luck publishing any Captain Marvel, now that Disney owns the trademark.

You can find all of the characters (in crappy scan quality) here: digitalcomicmuseum.com/

>What Omnibus collection would you like to see?
does it matter? They'd just cancel it anyway

Roger Stern's Starman

It doesn't need to be DC, somebody else could do it as long as they don't put his name on the cover

>Also, good luck publishing any Captain Marvel, now that Disney owns the trademark.
Would they really be such huge dicks to demand that it can't have Captain Marvel anywhere on the inside of a reprint? I would hope as long as it says Shazam on the cover and doesn't advertise it as Captain Marvel they would allow it.

they would have to label it something like, The Hero You Now Know as Shazam used to be known as Captain Marvel!

>Disney

I would like Plastic Man and Shazam, those two are better than anything DC did in the golden age. DC also could do Blackhawk and Doll Man but that's really going into impossible territory.

DC made low quality shit in the golden age, it's worst timeline tier that we have seven omnis of something as amateurish and unreadable as golden age Batman but no Plastic Man omni.

Wait, this brings up a good point, why haven't they announced a Shazam omnibus on account of the movie? Is it because of the overhaul being done on the trade department or something?

It's public domain and they probably want to push Geoff's version of the character first and foremost
Even though, as said, they're superior to anything DC's been churning out trades and omnibii of for years now.

The Question by Dennis O'Neill
Swamp Thing by Rich Veitch
Wonder Woman by William Messner-Loebs
Captain Marvel by Peter David
Captain Atom by Cary Bates
And for Marvel to reprint Avengers by Jonathan Hickman volume 1.

>Connor Hawke by Chuck Dixon.
>The Spectre by John Ostrander.
>The Question by Dennis O'Neill.
>Robin III by Chuck Dixon.
>Green Arrow by Mike
>Nightwing by Chuck Dixon.
>The Charlton Comics Omnibus Vol. 1 - Various.
>The Fawcett Comics Omnibus Vol. 1 - Various.

There are a ton they should do. I wish older stuff was just bound into an omnibus and then sold on demand.

Jonny Quest and Jezebel Jade omnibus

I've been seeing these comics brought up a lot recently on Yea Forums. Did someone post a comico MEGA, was there a storytime or is it all just you?

Please God complete JLI Giffen and Demattis omnibus!

idk it might just be me and a few others saying they're really cool because they're really cool and Jonny Quest is rad in general

>Flexible Fella by Jack Cole Omnibus

>Marvel still hasnt properly collected all the non Ennis Punisher stories
one of their biggest character and you still need to go collecting trades for his stories

Those original Plas comics were so good. What the character became afterward, the jokester clown hornball with 9001 power level is crap.

Why is Fire green?

They had that monster society book up a few times to just have it pulled before its release. I always assumed because it had racist black characters (possibly the same issue with the Spirit)
Though really just put a disclaimer in the front about how its racist but its part of the history of comics.
Its not like kids would be buying it anyway.

Wouldn't mind Ms tree collection.
Not sure who owns the rights to it though
