what character growth?

Adult shows protagonists have little to no character growth.

You're joking, right?

Based and redpilled

He hasn't really grown beyond just being more powerful for no real inexplicable reason.

>makes a funny and cool "DUD I'M SMART AND DIPREZZED DOOD GOD IS DED MAKES ME INTELIGENT" parody (because that's so fucking stupid)
>the normies love him and wants to be like him and takes it seriously
the absolute state of XXI century

Had lots of promsie in the season 2 finale that was thrown out the window in the season 3 premiere

All he's demonstrated is being a consistent opportunist who will chuck away his core beliefs if it serves him in the particular moment, now matter how hypocritical it makes him appear.

Realistic depiction of people who think they're smarter than they really are

I hate that Rick is now in control of every situation that he and Morty find themselves in.

I'M PICKLE RIIIIIIIICK

Character should be your trash stat. Focus on Charisma and Agility growth above all else.

Based

Well, it certainly illustrated the arc of Dan Harmon's failing marriage.

Specious.
that describes a psychopath better than a dummy with a wide vocabulary.

Except this is his fanfic where he managed to convince his wife he isn't that bad.

He is canonnically less smart than he think and people around him are less stupid than what he believe, that's why he get surprised by Morty all the time and is captured several times.

The more they try to make him badass, the lamer he got ironically.

Started well and went to shit after third season's finale when he just fucking abandons the family he risked his live for many times.

He abandoned his family several times before that.

I actually agree with this. I was pretty into the show up until the end of season 2 because it seemed like a funny way to flirt with the very fringes of certain concepts (I am in NO way saying the show is smart tho, seeing as how it mostly used those concept as nothing more than a curtain with all the depth of a shallow puddle) But s3 seemed like a step back for me.

He;s okay, especially since he led to one of the best cartoons of the year.

I don't think R&M's some brilliant show like some people say but I think a lot of the jokes can at least be clever or have good comedic timing.

how is it possible that a 15 minute australian shitpost is better than the entire 3rd season of Rick and Morty?

Because it was one of the best animated episodes of 2018 of any show.

This. Jesus Christ they shit the bed so hard after that finale.

>Remember talking about the symbolism of the season 2 finale with a friend
>Bring up that they used the original NIN version of Hurt rather than the better known Cash version
>"The Cash version is about an old man looking back at his life with regrets. It's a mourning of lost opportunities and wasted years. The NIN version is a young man spitefully cursing his existence entirely, feeling that he was never worth shit to begin with."
>Realize that the NIN version lines up with Ricks self loathing nihilism more

Australian shitposting is great entertainment as long as you're not on the receiving end of it.

Character as a stat? Mods, tell me this is racism at its purest form.

You do realize that several game systems use "Honor" as a stat, right? One that can go up and down depending on ones actions?
Try playing something other than Dungeons & Dragons or some bullshit JRPG that fails to imitate it, cunt.

How the fuck is Charisma and Character in the same pantheon of stats? One is how much you can get people to like you and the other is how much you can get people to value you? Is this some sort of autistic dating sim or a high class Businessman simulator?

see . While not strictly "Character", Honor is a pretty good synonym, appearing as an optional stat in D&D, but also as a sort of social health in Legend of the Five Rings.

Because the show got so bad and turned into such an obnoxious meme immediately that it became impossible to take seriously. Bushland Adventures parodies the utter inanity of the last two seasons of the show so succinctly

Fucking hell I hate how accurate this is. S2 finale had me hooked in anticipation so hard about what direction S3 would go. Then they wiped out any premise it had and more or less pretended it didn't happen.

Correction: season-serial adult cartoons whose focus is on maintaining status quo for the purpose of seamless movement between episodes have little to no character growth.

Rick and Morty's murder of their dimensional clones to inhabit their dimension doesn't count. Summer doesn't care after the episode ends.

Some good potting soil, plenty of sunlight and fertilizer would make any crater grow.
