They couldn't put Nocturna in Batman: TAS because censors said a very firm NO to blood letting

Spider-Man TAS wasn't allowed to having punching in it, but they still managed to get Morbius the Living Vampire into the show (and in, like, 50 fucking episodes). Just call the blood "plasma" and BS&P gives it the green light.

Funny because The Batman had a Dracula episode with blood and everything.
Beware The Batman couldn’t have guns, and last minute made everything stun guns as a knee jerk reaction to that unfortunate TDKR shooting

>Spider-Man TAS wasn't allowed to having punching in it
wut
I don't remember that
I'm pretty sure they had fights
>but they still managed to get Morbius the Living Vampire into the show
Holy shit you're right I totally forget that that makes it even worse someone needs to ask them about this at a convention
>BS&P
Its just called BS for a reason

That was the 2000s, B:TAS was 1990s

And? If anything you have it backwards considering how fucking touchy censors are now.

>I'm pretty sure they had fights
Spider-Man TAS had plenty of fights, just no punches. I think only one punch was ever thrown by Spider-Man on the show and it was when he hit the Spot (they managed to get around BS&P because Spider-man threw his punch through a portal and so it was considered indirect and thus not as violent as a direct punch).

Naw that Dracula one was a movie. And it was a FUCKED movie

>Funny because The Batman had a Dracula episode with blood and everything.

The Batman vs. Dracula was a direct to DVD movie and was not produced for television, so it was able to skirt around censorship rules. I was surprised that when it eventually did get broadcast on Cartoon Network, they left the entire fight with vampire Joker at the blood bank intact (they did some clever fluorescent lighting effects with the colors so all the spilled blood looked black, as I recall).

The Batman/Beware the Batman was shit
same with that cgi series with the ninja girl

Batman Beyond Return of the Joker was direct to dvd and it had to cut a lot

The cg series you’re talking about is Beware the Batman

Yeah, though they eventually argued for an uncut release with all the trimmed stuff restored. Honestly not sure why they did the edited version in the first place other than to have something they could run on TV.

One of Batman's coolest girlfriends.

he sure has had a lot

Don't. Batman's pure. He's not some... manwhore.

They had enough hypnotists. If you can't do it right then don't do it at all.

There are 20 here

He's just a sweet guy trying to find love. It isn't his fault that these floozies try to prey on him.

Bruce/Barbara is a forced by Bruce Timm, just like Millhouse it will never be a meme

It's hot as fuck, though.

No it's not

Yes, it is.

Nocturna isn't a vampire though.

Well that's what they were going to do here

Man, Nocturna was WEIRD. Like, the kind of weird that is very specific to 80s comics. Didn't she get written out by climbing inside a hot air balloon and drifting into the night?

80s comics had the best art imho, new printing techniques allowed for finer detail and more graceful designs that were still natural looking

by the mid-90s everything was XTREME and its been like that ever since

No, Wen killed her off because she was at the time Batman's main love interest and Wen wanted to make Catwoman the main one. So in the same issue she Nocturna dies Batman learn that the one he truly loves is Catwoman after all.

Only this pissed off readers, so Catwoman was once again slowly written off as the main love interest, with the comics of the time ending Batman having a true harem made of Julia Pennyworth, Vicki Vale, Talia al Ghul, and Catwoman. She ended up being just one more side-dish.

Why did Len Wein like to hurt the women in Batmans life?

Nah, The Batman was good. Not amazing, but good.

Well OP, there's always the comics.

Kevin Smith dredged Silver St. Cloud up from 35 years of obscurity just so he could kill her off and make Batman feel sad. No Batman writer has been especially kind in the treatment of Batman's love interests (not named "Catwoman", anyway).

Millhouse is not a meme is a meme, so BatBabs may not be a thing, but it not being a thing is a thing.

I also liked the prosaic monologues that characters or the narrator would sometimes give. Those were great.

>(not named "Catwoman", anyway).
o rly?

Anyway I was also referring to his decision on crippling Barbara

I remember when it aired. When the movie started it had a TV-Y7-FV rating. After that scene someone at CN must have freaked out because it changed to TV-PG-V on air.

>I remember when it aired. When the movie started it had a TV-Y7-FV rating. After that scene someone at CN must have freaked out because it changed to TV-PG-V on air.

Wish someone had taped that; sounds hilarious. Someone at the switchboard at CN HQ watching the movie and going OH SHIT NIGGA WHAT ARE YOU DOING and hitting the TG-PG button repeatedly during the literal bloodbath scene.

I wish there was more Batman/Nocturna

How many issues did she appear in the 1980s?

The uncut version is still cut. The scene where Joker's showing off how he tortured Robin originally had lethal tools used, but they had to change it and so they're now gag propa.

*Gag props

I remember hearing they were going to do a episode with Morpheus and Death from Sandman but it didn't happen because they didn't want a character from an "adult" comic on a kids show
