I'll miss McAvoy Prof. X and Fassbender Magneto and their vaguely gay relationship. And they had their time in the limelight.

That's about it.

Patrick Stewart was perfect casting for Prof. X though.

nobody can top jackman's wolverine though

I only liked his performance in Logan.

>tfw Marvel will turn X-Men into comedy and there are people fine with it

this

>looking forward to quippy bland MCU X-Men

The thing is "FoX-men" stopped carrying any inherent significance in 2006 and since then they only occasionally slipped back into goodwill territory. As it currently is, there's just nothing to be missed - even the few good elements of the modern movies like McAvoy and Fassbender feel played out to death, because for whatever reason these writers can only make two movies: "Wolverine learns not to be an asshole" and "Xavier and Magneto have a disagreement"

I will because FOX mutant movies have an overall better quality than the MCU

>The thing is "FoX-men" stopped carrying any inherent significance in 2006 and since then they only occasionally slipped back into goodwill territory
Revisionism. Most X-Men movies released after 2006 were successful.

They had the perfect Prof X and Magneto, both old and the young ones. Also 6 feet tall Wolverine was interesting approach on character. Also goddess Mystique from old trilogy. And...
Well, basically I'll miss many of Fox-men characters, great number of them were either on-spot or really interesting reimagination.

But I won't miss Fox-men stories, those were bullshit most of a time. Like always.

You don't get it. 2006 was when Last Stand released, and it was a stupid mess that ruined the trilogy. After that they went for the solo prequels idea, and the Wolverine one was so bad it put a halt to the whole project, which was then reworked into First Class, which i find the best of the modern movies. And that's what i meant when i said they came back into goodwill territory, followed up by DoFP which i have mixed feelings about. So they have this pseudo-new trilogy going, and what happens? They fuck it up again with the extremely forgettable Apocalypse, and now it's sequel is shaping up to be almost a shot-to-shot remake of Last Stand. Not to mention the mysterious New Mutants that apparently not even it's producers can tell what the fuck is supposed to be about

I didn't say there were no successful or good movies after X3, i basically meant that shit's rollercoaster at best, constantly switching ups and downs. The brand isn't inherently trustworthy if every new movie is a gamble, if there's no unifying vision and you have writers and directors constantly stepping on each other's toes, introducing retcons and plot threads they forget about by the next movie, recycling again always the same stories involving the same handful of "important" characters, and so forth

New Mutants is going to be about the Demon Bear, their first arc in books. It was noted before, and it's a Demon Bear they fight in those leaked pre-cgi footage.
It's basically gonna be a token horror movie about monster chasing a group of teenagers, except teenagers are mutants with combat abilities.

Oh sure, but i was referring to the rumours about how apparently they couldn't decide on the tone the movie is supposed to have

Unironically they should have just made MacXavier and FassMagneto gay, if only to generate controversy

Actually McAvoy said during the interviews, that that's how he kinda approaches their relationship too.

for sure i won't miss the canceled kitty pryde movie written by Bendis :^)

Apocalypse was pretty good, especially when compared to the garbage that mcu churns out

It was the only movie that made me cry in so many years. Thing of beauty.

Hmmm.... are you trying to lure me?

Demon Bear wasn't the first New Mutants arc.

I cried too while watching it. And friend of mine actually tried to commit suicide right at the theater when realized that movie is about to end soon.

took em' long enough to get it right

Too bad your friend didn't kill himself. There would be one less asshole in the world :^)

Second then? Pretty sure it starts to appear as nightmare pretty early in story.
But of course I don't remember, the last time I read it I was five years old.

If only the films were as fun as that gif instead of super serious business

All this years, all this films and not a single baseball match.

This! Fuck the Quip universe

>X-2
>Days of Future Past
>Logan
>Spider-Man 2
>Into the Spiderverse

Why is it that all the best Marvel films aren't Marvel Studios films?

You will when Disney gets their hands on them.

Because they don't need shilling and marvel brigade on the internet to defend them, because they can defend themselves easily without help

Same reason the best threads on Yea Forums have nothing to do with vidya

I will so fuck off.

Because the MCU is trash

>30 posts
>20 posters

Fox still has people shilling for a dead franchise, I see

pathetic. If it was 30 posts and 5 posters, then yeah. you can go fuck yourself mcuck

I'll miss Xavier, Erik and, most importantly, all versions of Kurt and Pietro. These two were godlike and funny as fuck in every single tidbit of Apocalypse (and X2 for Kurt)

The Demon Bear arc starts in issue 18.

Frazier Beast was spot on.

too bad captain marvel killed the mcu before they could join

It isn't out yet and probably gonna flop just like the rest of non-underwater DC movies

I'm going to love seeing the bullshit they pull out of their asses to explain mutants in the MCU.

>NO BECUZ REVERSING THE SNAP CAUSED A TIME-WARP AND CREATED MUTANTS AND ARGFGHGHGHFGHGHHGHH

Mark my words, it'll be something this stupid

Same way they explained Carol. All those movies mutants were busy with something

Blasted Chitauri invasion, scrap caused activation of x-gene within newborns.
It's been 10 years + 8 years between endgame and aftermath. Scott, Jean and company are 18 years old already.

>linking everything back to the chitauri/Avengers movie/Thanos AGAIN

Chitauri Invasion is basically a cornerstone of MCU

>thinking FOX-Men wasn't exactly that for a full decade and a half with ONE exception

I’d say fox-men have had higher highs but when they miss they miss hard.
