What does Yea Forums think of Tigtone?
I'm really intrigued by the animation style.

Hated the pilot. Enjoyed the series.

decided to check out tigtone and saw the centaur episode.
don't dig the animation but it was actually kind of funny.

From having seen the pilot; the animation works in a B-movie budget sort of way. Reminds me of Karl the Deranged if he had an actual budget (though I imagine this sort of image manipulation has been around for a while).

I really don't get the humor. I can't really even remember much from the video aside from being mildly annoyed and chuckling at one or two jokes.

Dear Diary

It worked better as a one-off. They do a fine job with the writing, but having to maintain any kind of continuity puts a damper on the absurdist nature of the character.

It was the best new cartoon i've seen in years.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOD

the only continuity there is is that he's met Helpy and he does quests, doesn't really restrict anything.

nah, I liked Helpy's story being the crux of the final episode, it made for a wonderful twist and it's a great setup for season 2

Eh. Just kind of annoyed by it desu. It just feels like it's the senior project of that one obnoxious OMGSOCRAAAAAZY kid in everybody's art school.

the mocappy animation is fine but I feel like the writing's not going hold up over multiple seasons if even multiple eps.

There are also recurring characters. I'm not saying the show isn't funny, but for peak "Tigtone-ness" I would have preferred him questing alone, and not letting him be defined in a way that humanizes him little bit.

a lot of those characters are sort of needed though, like kingqueen, and the lorebrarian, helpy adds a nice audiance stand in for him to talk to, which was kinda missing in the pilot, where he just babbled like a madman, i in the first ep where he explains meeting helpy they tried using the diary as that stand in, or the rest of his fellowship of, but they don't work as well as a re-occurring character with a lovely slapstick set of powers.

HUEGGH

RLM isn't in the series
It's worthless

the pilot and series are better than most of the stuff discussed here and I don't want the rest of this board to find it and share it with the rest of their tumblr friends and ultimately drag it down the shitter.

>Mocappy
I get more the feeling of cheap puppet tooling of overrendered models.
Also I think it's randomness the right ways, it's easy to just do the bullshit "and anything can happen isn't that wacky" and each episode tends to have a cohesive absurdity rather than being truly random.

I wonder what would've happened if Tigtone got a Minator to pose as the Very Fertile Centar?

I need a sword that can cut NOTHING!

There is only one word to describe the frustration I am feeling right now:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I would rather have had them make a Western version of Berserk with dark comedy instead of whatever the fuck shit we got. It's just unfunny ironic shock gore for the sake of being gross and crude.
>B-But the plots are a twist on high fantasy
Doesn't make it good.

I love it, truly the definition of murderhobo but it is constantly random and not everyone enjoy that.

what we witnessed was pure, unknowable, infinite, cosmic terror

its 10/10

Where did you get the idea it would be anything like berserk?

Tigtone find my missing GOLDEN amulet!

>Oh, I get it! Lightning in a bottle!
>That's what he WANTS YOU TO THINK!
Shit's funny

Really liked their approach to this, and it was moments like that and the occasional heart that was injected into the show that made me love it.

It's flawless player logic in rpg campaigns.

It's good and has a great character arc and finale.

Now this thread can die in peace. Someday.

They used the bizarre non-sequeturs of begun and turned them into character traits and returning elements.
>give me a quest ghost wizard, or else
>Tigtone now said that because he always wants quests and something to do
>blow this magic flute to summon an army off gnomes, they will even fight snakes
>the gnome showing up to dispense specific information as if it's a callback is now a running gag
The charm of the original animation was how completely out of left field everything was, the very words they were saying would often take a turn towards stroke-ville and lose a coherent meaning.
The series is just another cartoon, with cartoon plots.

>"Balance is for the weak!"
>"Normal is for the weak!"
>"The gods are weak!"
>"But I am no weak! For i am...Tigtone!"
