All girls are bisexual.

Goddamn that episode was dumb.

Kwanza is so embarrassing.

At least the Yam festival would be actually interesting, culturally relevant, and give people something to do in late summer.

Also, Kwanzaa is as real of a holiday as Festivus

Rewatching this episode now. Holy shit, how did they let this blatant, patronizing propaganda air?

Can someone TLDR what the context of this episode is?

the proud family meet a family of homeless people that convince them christmas is bad and kwanza is good

I'm getting tired of this "X BAD" meme, it's a cheap, disingenuous way to shut down people's arguments by grossly oversimplifying them. I dislike when people resort to tactics like that and I refuse to partake in it myself, even if the person I'm arguing with is doing it.

X BAD BAD

You simplify stupid arguments to accomodate them. Even giving them the time of day is asking too much.

>t. seething bootlicker

Not just girls.

>capitalism
>not authoritarian

All men are bisexual

Seriously, where are the cute black twinks?

>that episode where she goes to jail for downloading music off the internet

I have never had any interest in women.

Not when there is democracy involved

Okay, but "stupid" is subjective, you could say that about something that's articulately-worded just because you disagree with it. I believe this would all fall under the Strawman fallacy, as you're creating a simplified version of the argument and attacking that instead of the actual one.

Then you are not a man

The only thing I can remember about this show is that Oscar could wiggle his ears. Which is weird because I think it only came up once.

Lol. Gross kill yourself faggot.

While you are technically right, you are also a newfag

>you
>not retarded

I've been on here for almost a decade now you tourist faggot, don't start with me.

Futurama had the only accurate depiction of Kwanza

>whatever you're trying to peddle
>democratic

fuck off, commie

Why aren't you poor and homeless, Yea Forums? You'll be so much happier freezing in the cold and eating out of the trash.

As a European, I had always assumed that Kwanza was a big thing in America thanks to it always being brought up in cartoons. But does anyone actually know anybody who actually celebrates it?

You know you can celebrate Kwanza and Christmas if you'd like, right? I know it was originally thought up as an alternative, but there's nothing stopping people from observing both (and indeed many people do). Kwanza isn't a religious holiday, it's more just a broad celebration of one's roots, like when Americans take pride in having Irish or German ancestors. It's a very benign and niche thing obviously, mostly appealing to idealistic pan-Africanists.

No. It gets forced in cartoons/tv shows for religious diversity but you'd be hard pressed to find someone that actually celebrates it.

Estimates of practitioners range between 12 and 30 million in America, so it's small but worthy of note.

No, the vast majority of African Americans are Christian, Kwanza basically doesn't exist outside of cartoons.
I mean the holiday isn't even a real holiday, it's some bootleg version of Hanukkah with some vague African aesthetics thrown in, it was created by black nationalist who'd never set foot in Africa and didn't know sweet fuck all about pretty much any African culture.

No if i take the piss out of an argument that amuses me its not an attack. And attacking an argument in itself is not bad. A fallacy would fall under ad hominem if i made fun of the person making it by calling em a fuckwit.

Alright then, so just attacking an argument isn't engaging with the argument, I'm glad we got that cleared.

But i made that point clear as day two posts ago.

>draw a white person
>color it brown
Why?

Why did slave decedents from west africa steal words from east africa?

Sounds what they need to do is switch Kwanza from being bootleg Hanukkah to being bootleg St. Patrick's Day. It'd be infinitely more popular if Kwanza meant a parade and a socially acceptable reason to take off work and get shitfaced by 10AM.

You do know that there are brown people with Caucasian features right?

I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that there's a black family where the dad stuck around.

Welcome to the show where the adults are dumb, babies are smart and old people get their revenge if you ever lay a hand on them. The show where you see Oscar lose every day!

Black guys can’t be cute.

Can you imagine how white people would react if black people behaved on kwanza the way white people behave on St Patricks day?

I'm used to Mardi Gras, so I'm probably biased.

>implying

They learn about Kwanzaa from a family of homeless people who might be ghosts or something.

Fluid sexuality doesn't exist.

Nigga you gay.

There are plenty around. I think it has more to do with the nuances of black gay culture and its interaction with the wider gay culture than an actual lack of them.

do people celebrate Mardi Gras outside of Louisiana? I've only been to California and am only familiar with it through old western books

>draw a black girl
>make her cute
Why?

Because black girls>white girls

Negroid genes always show up in mixed people

The two main places for Mardi Gras are New Orleans and Mobile, AL, with several communities between NO and Pensacola, FL celebrating it. NO is the largest with 78 parades in the NO area, followed by Mobile with 45 parades in the Mobile area (though the 16 parades in Baldwin county Alabama are usually considered to be part of the Mobile area parades).

Literally a white girl with dark skin.

She's cute user!

Thanks, user. I appreciate it

I barely remember The Proud Family. I feel like half its episodes were forgettably watchable as a kid and the other half were the preachiest shit I'd ever see growing up. The only episode that really sticks to my mind is when Penny discovered napster and it was like the matrix and as soon as she downloaded a song off it every SWAT team member in the US came on her house. I honestly don't know if that one episode of South Park was directly parodying that episode or if they were just going as far as they could with that joke but The Proud Family had already done it in earnest years prior.

Black women have more testosterone than women of other races, and black men have more estrogen than men of other races. It's more visually pronounced with women, but black people are less sexually dimorpic. This comes across sometimes in cartoons.

[citation needed]

I remember the ep where the spic friend was revealed to have enormous feet so she could swim super fast

why were they homeless? i blocked out almost every thing from that show

academic.oup.com/jcem/article/92/7/2519/2598282

They weren’t even actually alive. The Prouds go to the local shelter later to visit them and the place has no record of any of them existing

Whole family were like the spirits from Christmas Carol, just appearing to normies to teach them the true meaning of the holiday or some shit

They actually weren’t. It was a really weird twist.

The family introduce themselves as “the Jamesons” or some common name like that at the start of the episode, and tell the Proud Family that they’re homeless and living at the homeless shelter but that they’re cool with it because they don’t believe in material wealth or some shit. They then teach the Prouds the true meaning of Kwanzaa, but on the last day (Kwanzaa is apparently a multiple day thing), they mysteriously disappear. So the Prouds go to the shelter looking for them, but when they ask for the Jamesons, they’re directed to a completely different family, but all with the same first and last names. The real Jamesons don’t like living in poverty because they’re normal fucking people that need to eat, but they’re just “struggling to get back on their feet” and have some sob story about the dad getting laid off from his job. The Prouds wind up helping the real Jamesons because after experiencing Kwanzaa, they learned the true meaning of charity. The fake Jamesons may or may not have been the personifications of the ideals of Kwanzaa, and the whole thing was apparently just a ruse to teach the Prouds to be better people.

Kwanza eps confused me as a lad cuz I thought it was a real holiday black people actually celebrate

Then years later I found out some nutty black college professor invented it in like the 80s, it's based on nothing actually african, and literally no blacks even bother with it and celebrate christmas instead

I forget how the proud family had so much supernatural shit in it

Like Al Roker being a malevolent entity that Penny has to constantly outsmart

Only 2% of blacks in the US reported celebrating Kwanzaa. So that's 2% of a 13% minority.

Or the Immortal Steve Harvey Credit Card.
Ultimately Kwanzza does nothing that Black History Month hasn't succeeded in doing more effectively.

Or the time Penny went back in time to the 60s for Martin Luthor King Day so she could learn about the civil rights movement. Or maybe I’m remembering wrong and that one was a dream all along.

Wasn’t there also an episode where Penny magically gained the ability to talk to a tiger? I think I remember that being the very first episode I saw as a little kid, and I mistook it for a pilot/origin episode and thought it had a plot like The Wild Thornberries, and I got psyched about watching a cartoon about a girl and her cool talking tiger friend. I was very disappointed to learn the tiger was only in that one episode and that the show was mostly middle school slice of life shit about the girl being a petty shallow bitch.

I also think the one with the tiger is the only time I can remember the show acknowledging that Mrs Proud was supposed to be a veterinarian, and the only time that fact was relevant to the plot.

I think she just bonded or something but it was just a Tiger, the only other time I remember them bring it up was when Trudy wanted Oscar to catch a mouse and Oscar was confused to why a Vet would be afraid of mice.
They did it again when Jesus Christ came into town.

>heathen ghosts in heaven
Imma cravin' for some crusadin'

Your right. Everybody is firmly attracted to both sexes at all times.

So like probably a couple hundred families, maybe.

Approximately 850,000 people.

yeah thanks for describing how blacks are different than whites

Because a few of them did come from East Africa probably, and since the slave owners didn't care what tribe of negro they had, seeing them all as the same, they ended up breeding and mixing until they lost all concept of their roots.
A black american is an African mutt.

Was Jesus white or black?

Neither, he was a jew.

Are you stupid? East Africa is on the other side of the fucking continent. None of them came to America through slavery.

Nice to know horners aka Cushitic black Africans don’t exist

Lmao linking an out dated study that doesn’t even cover enough black people to be used as a set point to generalize them. Get back to me when these studies include other black ethnicities not just a small subset African Americans.

Why the fuck are we bumpin' tiddies for a Kwanzaa play, anyhow?
There ain't a nigga in all a' Philadelphia that actually celebrates Kwanzaa!

>Al Roker is evil

this has stuck with me through the years

>CAPITALISM BAD
Only how the system is really
>WORK BAD
Based on outdated practices, but the definition is completely necessary for basic human survival.
>LAZINESS AND HOMELESSNESS GOOD
It's not.

Glad your shitpost got deleted.

>out dated study
Are you suggesting that African American biology has changed in some relevant way since 1994?

>doesn’t even cover enough black people to be used as a set point to generalize them
N=363, which is plenty. Did you miss the 95% confidence intervals in Table 2?

>Get back to me when these studies include other black ethnicities
What do imagine this line of discussion to be about that you think this is relevant? If you'd read the study, you'd have seen that the study population was nationally representative.

I tend to agree, but you ever seen what girls say about ASAP Rocky? I wish I looked half as good as that nigga.
.t black user tryna get /fa/
