I'm making a website that's essentially a decentralized, crowd funded Netflix for indie creators / animators. I have added some animations so far. Any other indie animated series I should add to the list?
I'm making a website that's essentially a decentralized, crowd funded Netflix for indie creators / animators...
what the fuck is this gay shit
do you have permission from Viviziepop and Hannah to have their content uploaded to your shitty website?
>indie animated series
Heh, that's why nobody loves a frustrated novelist
It just has the YouTube video embedded as of now.
I bet this is the same autistic retard that spams fake Vivziepop tweets here
get the creators' permission first regardless, faggot. reposting and featuring other people's copywritten content is wrong regardless of how harmless it may seem
I know a really, really good indie animator who needs more exposure, and hangs out here, but I won't refer him to you until you show you've actually got a business model set up.
That isn't too bad of an idea to be honest. Internet animation is already helping to decentralizing entertainment. A Netflix that's crowd funded allows anyone to make their own professional content.
Exactly. That was what I had in mind when I started making the site.
Dude, are you taking pictures of your screen?
Yes lol
Why are you taking photos of the screen instead of screenshoting it? What the hell is going on in this thread?
I wanna make a recommendation, but I really gotta make sure what you're doing supports the creators.
Well, I don't see why it wouldn't. It links directly to their YouTube video that they uploaded, as well as their Patreon page. This website is in the early stages of development so I have not yet created an upload / fund system yet.
Ok well that's a nice final project for your web development 101 class but please take this to /g/ so they can teach you basic computer literacy
>Any other indie animated series I should add to the list?
Guy Colins, Raised by zombies.
Well it isn't final.
this thread is great
Bump good luck with whatever you do OP its good you are actually getting out their and doing things, first rule of business is do not tell people your ideas before you have almost completed it you moron. Anyway good luck
That's cool and all, but you should shownus this at a later stage in development.

SHARE IT
OP here. The idea is that you don't have to be famous to have your stuff on the site. The point is to create a home for indie creators so they can create content completely funded by viewers, like Hazbin Hotel. This way, literally anyone with an idea can make professional level content right from home.
Put Banana Hill
I mean the guy only made one episode and probably won't finish another one in 3 years but you may as well
If you're monetizing this at all, have the decency to at least reach out to the animators directly. They're not like big studios, you're more than likely going to get a response. If you just put this shit up without their consent, you're just the animation equivalent of those aggregator sites from the 2000's that would steal other peoples' content and make bank off of ads.
Alright bambino, I'm gonna give you some criticism and advice here.
>want to make a decentralized site for people to support animation
>by centralizing it in one location
animators already get support from funding sites like patreon, kickstarter, and direct paypal comissions. Besides that most of them upload content for free on sites their audience regularly use and so already have exposure based on that. The only way to compete in viewership is exclusivity, and even then lots of streaming shows use youtube clips to advertise. What exactly are you offering to the artists or the viewers here? Money? Advertising? Networking? production assistance? You've got to think this out a lot more thoroughly if you want it to be a serious thing instead of what amounts to a hyperlink site with other peoples' work on it.
Like other people have said, even with good intentions its not cool to not reach out to the creators first before anything. A lot of creators want to make their shows on their own terms, and that includes where they distribute it. You need to be honest about what your business plan is, and a lot of them might be down to help too, but without transparency and without treating creators with the respect to talk to them about their work, you're setting yourself up to fail.
You're basically going to either be, or hire an agent to talk to creators on a one to one basis and formulate contracts to monetize stuff in a mutually beneficial agreement, at which point you'd also need to hire a lawyer. If you're not handling money, you need to figure out what you provide that isn't provided more easily elsewhere and sell your services based of that. You need to put down a solid month to month plan and focus on how best to help people.
Not trying to shit on you, OP, I feel like your heart's in the right place, but these are the harsh truths.
don't be a faggot
Sounds neat user. Good luck, I hope it makes you rich.
>Don't be a faggot
>Be a thief instead
