it was in terms of what it was to its franchise. It wasn't trying to be anything more than action schlock and it succeeded. Thw Watchmen is a property three or four levels above what snyder is capable of doing and he didn't understand why it was considered unfilmable, best he could do was match some of the panels of the comics and couldn't add any individual identity to it besides doing the fucking actions scenes in slo-mo cause he didn't understand the tone moore truly wanted

Because Hickman is good. But Ultimates 3/Ultimatum and other stuff from that era is best left forgotten, frankly. Any attempts to revive it will just bring the worst parts of it, hardly the noteworthy runs (and Ultimate Spider-Man it's redundant now that Miles crossed over).
