And it's an American show with French animation that had production abruptly halted during season two due to high production cost and a management switchup at Nick, and the new executives seem to think reboots and spin-offs are the only way to have a successful show at this point. It was slated to air in the US this summer, but that may or may not materialize - it may be delayed or dumped on Nicktoons or Netflix, its fate domestically has yet to be seen but evidentially season one is in the can and will start airing on all the international Nick affiliates shortly, as they tend not to pull the same stupid bullshit

I myself think it has a lot of possibilities to look cool within the virtual environments they're exploring so while I'm not a huge fan of the look IRL I don't have much of a problem with it in 2D and think it might make the show look cooler
