I believe it started a few year ago when people went back to Spider-Man 1 and pointed out that the homophobic jokes Spider-Man made at Bonesaw's expense wouldn't fly today. People started saying stuff like "woah how did Raimi get away with this?"/ Yea Forums took that concept and ran with it. So now it's a Yea Forums pastime to insert made up wildly racist and/or homophobic dialogue and imagery into the Raimi films. I guess it's just a fun thing to do and it occasionally tricks people into believing some of this stuff was actually in the movies if it's subtle enough.

Depends. Pre-MCU, it would probably be a mix of Nolan and Burton, where it would have the style but still have a ton of toy-merch gadgets as the gimmick. Can't really expect them to pull of an Ironman, as that movie was actually a successful accident with too much shit going on behind the scenes.

They focused less on making trilogies with single characters and started making everything revolve around the big event, like comics. That's why there's doomsayers saying that the thirst for MCU movies will slowly die out after Endgame. Even without the Capt. Marvel Brie controversies, there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in the movies besides being mildly connected to the anticipated Avengers movies. Ant-Man and the Wasp, Dr. Strange, Capt. Marvel. OF course I don't mean that every MCU movie is bordering on boredom, but the fatigue of pushing out a couple Marvel solo movies a year is showing.
