There is absolutely no chance Marvel/Disney is going to make Carol solo Thanos. Endgame is about giving the original Avengers a big sendoff. It's the last ride for RDJ, Evans, Hemsworth, etc.. Just came back from seeing it, it's not bad really, but it's far from good, felt like an episode of a CW show instead of the introduction of RDJ's replacement and the new head of the MCU.

That is, if you take the movie in a vacuum at least, given the context it released in, that is between Infinity War and Endgame and after ten years of the MCU, it feels really depressing and claustrophobic almost, makes the entire universe and some of the established characters feel really small and irrelevant. It didn't add anything to the cinematic universe but it sure feels like it took something away, and that the franchise would've been better off without it. It certainly didn't make me hopeful for the future of MCU if Brie's character doesn't go through an overhaul, if they're going to make her the one to beat Thanos, they should've adapted her as a female All-Might, charismatic and reassuring ("Everything's going to be fine! Why? Because I am here!"), she's just anti-climactic right now.

I really hope that the Skrulls are revealed to actually be bad guys, and that they totally played Carol and Fury. Their whole shtick is fucking lying, impersonating, and infiltrating! They did that beautifully in this movie with those two rubes, Carol and Fury. Please, let the Skrulls be villains in Phase 4!! I want them infiltrating the MCU! I want to know that X was a Skrull all along! I want the Fantastic Four to have to stop them! The crossover for Phase 4 can be the entire MCU fighting the Skrulls and the Kree for control of the Earth! Okay... I'm okay now.

And a young Clint Barton couldn't rent Robin Hood: Prince of Theives on VHS that weekend, which made him decide to teach himself everything he could about the bow and arrow... dun dun dunnnnn

It would be fantastic. The "Because you have me" line sets her up not as powerful, but as arrogant. It would open her up for better character development than she gets in her own movie. She would have to accept that maybe she isn't the hottest shit in the universe, and adapt and overcome, and learn to work with others.
