Call me contrarian, but this I was a pretty decent, if unremarkable, superhero movie. Larson is likeable as Carol and any feminism is slight and subtle
Call me contrarian, but this I was a pretty decent, if unremarkable, superhero movie...
Gee, I wonder who posted this
That’s not contrarian. It’s the general opinion of most of the general public
It’s pretty contrarian for Yea Forums standards
It's average but the feminism wasn't subtle.
That said, i like Monica, the skrulls and the SI scenes, but what they did to Mar-Vell was a great disservice to the character.
>likeable
How? She is exactly like Thor before Ragnarok, stone faced and with no direction.
>he didn’t watch the movie
You are getting really desperate with multiple threads, shills. I guess it is not /tvpol/ now?
>feminism is slight and subtle
No it isn't.
>pretty decent, if unremarkable
>fresh on RT
>muh RT!
muh scores muh scores! You fucking yanks always starting shit, no wonder you pretend to be the world's police.
it is, it's blandly inoffensive as possible
so much so that a lot critics are actually giving it a lower score because they were expecting more. they fell for the controversy meme as much as the trolls did. disney is the real winner here again with the controversial ruse marketing (at least for this week, we'll see if the film has legs next week)
And that is probably both the best and worst thing you can say about it. It was OK. It was unremarkable. It average at best.
>seething incoherence
Okay, user
>'CAUSE I'M JUST A GIRL
>subtle
Posted this in another thread, but an average score below 70 is absolutely unremarkable.
It was okay. Not great, but still okay.
When "IM JUST A GIRL" came on it was so fucking eye-rolling, though.
how many times did Captain Marvel get rebooted in the last 10 years? Isn't it nearly a dozen?
In terms of issue #1 relaunches? Yeah probably. Marvel is really desperate with her.
I would say it's on the positive end of the span of MCU movies, all things considered. Some people are just mad about the couple of retcons/lore establishing things it had.
it dropped another percentage! Man, I can't wait for the audience reviews.
An user with opinion of his own. I am thinking the same.
>but the feminism wasn't subtle.
It wans't "in your face" and naturally felt part of the story.
>She is exactly like Thor before Ragnarok,
I liked Thor in Thor 1 and 2, so I don't really get your point.
Check under your bed for that boogieman
It doesn't matter AT ALL that they made him a woman
It was like Star Trek meets Jag
>but this I was a pretty decent
>I was a pretty decent
>I was
>I
congratulations
Everyone
EVERYONE
knows about the brigading
So fragile
It's like you weren't watching ar all.
>Larson is likeable as Carol
See, I just don't agree.
Well, you'd have to actually see it.
If she's likable, then she's done a terrible job at portraying Carol.
You're an idiot.
You could post this on Rotten Tomatoes
Great
Brie, pls.
I thought the feminism was subtle compared to Wonder Woman, except the “cockpit” part
I liked it too. I watched it with my aunt and sister, my aunt kept nudging me at the beginning saying it was boring but i told her to be quiet and carry on watching (she's semi into the series but thought it was gonna be endgame), afterwards she ended up enjoying herself and liking it a lot at the end, she's a catlady so that helped
It really felt like a Phase 1 movie to me.
Like not bad, but the bar is higher these days. I enjoyed it well enough outside some of the early earth stuff, though.
And a shill
I mean, by the standards of most drunk soldiers in bars I've seen that guy was a fucking master of subtlety. He didn't get his dick out or anything.
CAUSE I’M JUST A GIRL
It's reasonable and logical, but reason and logic has no place on the internet where sensationalism reigns supreme. Where the only opinion that exists marks you either as a shill or a troll; there can be no in-between.
Pathetic
I feel like if you don't start at phase one level, you got no where to build.
That part was cheesy, but I wouldn’t even call it feminism.
Bitch
No one loves you
I have. On Wednesday. And Larson is the weakest part of the movie.
Hell, Yon-Rogg is more likable than she is, which I DOUBT was the point.
That's just not true.
>It’s pretty contrarian for /contrarian/ standards
