It is RIDICULOUS how much of a better Star Trek it is than Discovery.

Orville feels like the yearly goofy episodes of 90's era Trek whereas Discovery is the worst elements of later TNG movies and Trek '09.

Looks like you've finally made it, Seth. I'm hype, especially if it includes any supplemental material about the universe we wouldn't get to see otherwise.
It's still a little rough around the edges, but so far it's much more true to the spirit of the franchise than Discovery ever will be.
