What do you want to see in the sequel?
I think that Venom and a non-retarded Norman Osborn are obligatory.

there's no need for a sequel
this
While I agree, the truth is a sequel is inevitable at this point.
When did Aunt May get his measurements?
Aunt may finally find someone that isn't boring or evil.
Also magic goblin was cool and he wasn't retarded. He is just big.
It was already announced, tho
supaidaman
supaidaman
Spider-Punk
You know whose time is it
Can they please just make up a new villain? The same bad guys have been used and reused over and over again.
There's no "need" for this movie either. People WANTED this movie and a lot WANT a sequel. I will never understand that mentality that people shoot down the idea of giving people more of a thing they like, fuck. Explain your stance honestly I'm not even trying to fight I just want to know why
Probably literally any amount of the several hours they spent after he met her and they were discussing spider shit. Or she might've guesstimated. You can buy any watch at a store and be able to make it fit, I'm sure she could just look at his wrists and come to a close enough size
Bendis hanging from a lamp post.
I want to see Spider-Punk Fucking Die, that would be great.
spider noir needs more screen time, or at least serve a purpose.
>there's no need for a sequel
It's cute how racist incels are now pushing this "sequels are an exercise in excess" meme.
Maybe there isn't, but Spider-verse lends itself pretty easily to some interesting characters and stories to choose from, so it's not like they're short on content for a sequel.
Good movies are complete experiences. Toy Story, Shrek, The Incredibles, How to Train Your Dragon, The Lego Movie, Men in Black, Ghostbusters, Star Wars didn't 'need' sequels.
So was Fant4stic 2
>Star Wars didn't 'need' sequels.
A flop isn’t getting a sequel.
Less Miles.
Star Wars a New Hope tied everything up by the end of the film. The menacing Tarkin was Blown up along with the goverment's super weapon. His underling was thrown deep into space with his tail between his legs. Luke tapped into the force for the miracle shot. Han redeemed himself. Everyone got medals at the end. Star Wars could have ended there and it would have been fine.
christ you're such a fucking pleb
No
They should have done a Miles-type character that was a new superhero
LIES
The only loose thread of Star Wars is that Vader, the main bad guy's minion, gets away. Doc Ock isn't arrested at the end of Spiderverse, and was clearly being protected to be a villain for the next one (in that Peter, Gwen, and Miles working together weren't able to beat her clean).
I'd like to see Spock in the sequel, both because it'd be cool but also because they could have Liv and a bunch of alternate Docs Ock vs a bunch of Spiders-man, which would be neat and then Spock would be neutral.
I'd also like to see SUPAIDAHMAN, which will likely happen, and Italian Spiderman, which probably won't.
I think they should just do an animated series like big hero 6
It’s miles he has no villains for them to use
This movie was the definition of excess
>What do you want to see in the sequel?
Gwen being a cuckette.
More MILF Morales
Superior Spider Gwen. Also Hobbie.
What happened to Goblin in the movie anyways?
Except there's already a spider tv show going on. There's even Miles there as well.
2099, Unlimited, 1970's Toku Spider-man, PS4 Spidey, Last Stand
No Miles
A teenage Peter Parker based somewhat on Lee-Dikto's run. Few if any friends, with his quips being less funny and more mean and a chip on his shoulder about his Uncle.
Main interactions would be with Miles and the two contrasting origins and life contexts. Get Miles over by having Miles influence being why Peter starts being more outgoing and trying to be more of a hero.
more Peter parker this time, the main focus be on Miguel.
No Spock
no romance with gwen.
She didnt feel like she gelled with Miles.
They just force her on miles because of white girl virtue signalling. Have miles have a romantic relation ship with a white female villian.
more spider nior and penni and ham.
Electric Company Spider-Man who mimes everything while Morgan Freeman narrates.
it needs a sequel
in the form of a 2 hour long special of just 3d blender animations of dadpeter fucking gwen and peni
I'm so tired of Norman Osborn.
Looked pretty dead in the debris of the explosion, on his back motionless.
This. I thought he was a great character in the movie and I’d hate to see them ruin it instead of playing around somewhere else in the spider verse
All those except Ghostbusters and MIB got good sequels. And even those 2 got decent cartoons.
We all know it’s gonna be Return of Peter Parker since Goblin died as well. So less multiverse shenanigans sadly
Can’t wait for Ult. Peter to shit on Miles for being Spider-Man despite his character’s having no ill will within him
Wasn't she demolished by a truck? I assumed that killed her. It sounded brutal
Hobgoblin
>Flop
>Made more money than the first Hotel Transylvania
They're making a sequel, it probably won't be good but it's going to happen.
Yeah and we thought Doctor Octopus drowned in Ditko's run too.
You're cute.
It's a flop because the monkey is black. What's so hard to understand? Black == flop.
Japan got a hold of Peni
He's black. She's knows all his measurements from years of hands on experience
>Peni left sp//der behind in Miles Universe
Probably something to do with that.
Movie works fine on its own, it is self contained and isn't a part of some sort of trilogy, not yet anyways
Well yeah. My point was that just because a movie tells a complete story doesn't mean that a sequel wouldn't have value.
>Dadpeter fucking Peni
>Not Noir and Ham double teaming her while Dadpeter and Miles gangband Gwen
RADIOACTIVE
SPIDER-BLOOD
How did they get away with how sexualized Gwen is?
Now you're talking.
But she isn't
Just drop the Miles. Dadpeter x Gwen best ship.
She's extremely sexy. Better than any plain jane
imagine being this mad that there is a brown spider-man lmao
>dropping the cutest thing on the screen.
user in marketing you're suppose to play to your strengths.
Either a better focus on the multiverse side characters or pick one multiverse character and make a movie exclusively about them
You just made me realize Goblin simply VANISHED.
Nah, after the collider first exploded, you could see his body.
>Dadpeter x Gwen
Stop inserting your fetishes in a family movie.
He's dead. Killed instantly by the collider explosion.
I want a Superior Spider-Man movie.
I'm holding out on hope for Italian Spiderman since the producers are fully aware of his existence.
Sadly we're getting a romance flick if we can go by interviews.
>Sadly we're getting a romance flick if we can go by interviews.
>Can you talk about the post-credits sequence? Did you always want to include a shout-out to that iconic meme?
Miller: Yeah, it seemed sort of almost obligatory because that meme encapsulates what the movie is. So there were many opportunities for it, but that seemed like the best opportunity to do it. We also felt like 2099 is such a cool character and –
Lord: What’s the worst situation we could put him in? (laughs) He’s really maintaining a degree of professionalism and grittiness. That’s the possibility of the multi-verse, is that you can slam two completely different people together. I want to see the De Niro and Groden movie with the two of them.
Midnight Run-style.
Lord: Midnight Run with 2099 and ’67 seems like a perfect follow-up. (laughs)
I think that the best thing for a Spiderverse franchise would be to make a different spider-person the focus of each movie.
Into the Spiderverse is the 'Miles Movie'. He is the focus of the story and the one that gets a complete arc, though PeterB gets an arc of his own too.
Miles can appear in other Spiderverse movies as a supporting character, but they shouldn't be ABOUT miles. Given her obvious popularity and connection to miles, it would make the most sense for the next movie to be 'about' Gwen. Miles can be there, but he isn't the focus.
After that its a question of who you go with. Peni, Noir, and Spider-ham were all criminally underdeveloped in the first movie, but its unclear how much room there is to make them the focus of their own movies. I doubt Ham could carry it, and Noir seems too stable to really give him a meaningful arc right now. He feels like he already has his stuff sorted out.
Peni is just a kid, so you can probably flesh her out into being movie worthy.
PeterB should be left as a supporting cast member, IMO, he doesn't need a movie of his own since he is the 'normal' Spiderman we are already familiar with from other works.
None of this accounts for new spiderpeople introduced in later movies. For example, you could introduce Jessica Drew in Gwen's movie and maybe she gets super popular and results in a movie of her own. Maybe we get Iron Spider. Or Supaidaman. Hard to guess that far ahead.
But I think Spiderverse can play to its strengths best by rotating the protagonist slot and the 'home universe' the story takes place in.
That Gobby looked like he could take that kind of beating. I wouldn't mind seeing him - a Norman permanently monsterfied - again, the design is just good.
Main series should stick with Miles as the focus. Spin-offs should focus other spiders. No sense in hopping protagonist for the mainline series. That's just confusing.
>Main series should stick with Miles as the focus.
Why? It's called Spiderverse not "Miles Moralesverse"
>Ganke and Miles shenanigans
>New Spideys from not so known universes/stories.
>Multiversal Sinister 6
>Gwen x Miles
>2099/SUPERIOR in the team
Miles doesn't have any villain of his own.
Good thing this isn't one then
>be the first movie to introduce a literal multiverse of marketable and adaptable characters
>be the first movie to open up the possibility of multiverse-level storytelling (Cloverfield Paradox doesn't count because it killed the franchise and was slapped on last-second)
It's called Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse. The mainline doesn't appear to be an anthology series. The plan seems to be to have a main thread tying the movies together. Jumping protagonist every movie while dealing with same issue would just muddle the narrative. Spin off films, like the Spider-woman team up they mentioned, can easily serve the function of giving spotlight to other spiders on the team or fan favorites not yet introduced.
