Why is Disney trying to turn Darth Vader into an Anti-hero?
He was always supposed to be an anit-hero. See Episode I, II and VI
He's an anti-hero only in the sense that he doesn't murder people on the spot and occasionally acts against the Emperor and the good of the Empire for his own reasons. Very little of what he's done in the comics can be described as "heroic," even in the anti- sense.
I’m Angry! And sad.
tragic villains are still villians
Star Wars did that decades ago, retard
Dark Horse did it first.
I think a better question is "why is Disney making Darth Vader a force powered god?"
I get he's "the Chosen One" and that the Force can do crazy things, but until Disney took over he was a crippled middle aged man at a fraction of his potential because he was missing half his body. Then Disney takes over and suddenly he's GOTTA GO FASTing all over a Star Destroyer, fighting an entire Rebel army alone, and in today's issue he fights a civilization-ending creature alone and cuts it to ribbons. It makes the fights in the original trilogy look even more ridiculous by comparison.

I personally believe it’s a good change in direction. He is the Chosen One after all. Three years of straight warfare is going to definitely have an effect on him. Not to mention he has all that anger and frustration to vent out. Darth Vader is also sent on dangerous missions by Sheev all the time, wouldn’t make sense to send a cripple other than a walking juggernaut of death.
