Oh no their pathological need to talk up female characters is rubbing off on Kamala.
Nolan Reyes
>kang loves her
>leader of the champions
>tony and carol fight over who gets to mentor her
>Inhuman royal family is really interested in her and loan out lockjaw to her
>miles is in to her as well
>hand picked for the cosmic avengers to that took down gamora
>Lineage was desperate to get her or at least a family member on his
They have been talking her up for years. Where have you been?
Jacob Jones
Shit, are they gonna Carol her?
Because they need you to know what they want.
Okay, it's ironic. He's an alien who heard a story third hand. Cool. Also how religions happen.
I don’t know if I'll like this tone for her.
It's a bit... anime about the tonal breaks.
Nakia being a character who actually gets to do things is great. I like her sass, but the term "brown people time" irks me. And it makes no sense if she herself was punctual, unless she counts the Turks out of "brown people". Which may be a case you could make for parts of the Black Sea coast, but she doesn’t have that look.
Christian Murphy
>loan out lockjaw to her
I don’t think that's quite how that works.
He probably stops by on his own for belly rubs.
Can't imagine a whole lot of that going on with these joyless hardasses.
Angel Butler
Medusa originally sent Lockjaw to Kamala to spy on her and make sure she wasn't doing anything that might cause problems for the Royals down the line. He still likes to visit her, though.
Thomas Lee
>no 3x3 of random people saying how great she is on the first page
They're changing up their tactics.
Jaxson Ward
>joyless hardasses.
That is just Medusa and karnak. Crystal, luna, and Black Bolt are who lockjaw hangs with
Landon Cooper
I know she sent him back when.
But he doesn’t seem to get loaned out like a merc was my point.
He isn't a privilege, he's a dog who likes her.
Also I'm not sure much of that list is really about her being special as a person but her bloodline being of interest for some reason.
Kang and Lineage surely don't care for her being a great person so much as her Inhuman ancestry holding some mystery.
After all, her tangential control over space and time is possibly just one manifestation of a great potential, of which she really got the shit end if you think about it. You get space-time powers and they manifest as shapeshifting?
That's an L right there.
Jace Diaz
That's cinrgey, she is supposed to be a small herosimilar to Spider-Man.
Nathan Taylor
She hasn't been "small" since Marvel made Wilson sign that contract.
Daniel Lopez
Thinking about it, playing that one for laughs would have been great.
>She helps the people. And she flies. And she helps the people.
>-Sir, she does not fly.
>Oh, who am I thinking of, then? Hm...
Jayden Sanders
Just read the next pages. They break this image down immediately.
This obviously inflated view of her is likely completely wrong.
She'll bumble into a conflict she hardly understands and make it out by sheer luck, somehow looking like a big stonking hero.
Lucas Miller
Oh, hey, a new villain, will he stick around?
Jonathan Ramirez
Seems like a decent deal to me. Gets around the whole mass limit, and it's implied that she may eventually learn how to push herself through it and warp at will.
Josiah Parker
Of course not. He's just to set the stage and will never be spoken of again after this.
Ian Peterson
>brown people time
what the fuck
Carter Phillips
No. Last we'll hear of him is in a paper when his edgy ass gets sued by a certain New York law firm over copyright infringement against DD.
William Carter
It IS great shapeshifting, yes.
But compared to power over time and space it seems like the weak end of it.
Michael Martin
Muslims stealing the black people are always late stereotype
Sebastian Wright
Only because Kamala (and the writers) has no imagination with it beyond "big fists smash".
William Gomez
Dennis Dunphy?
Angel Garcia
Obviously. Matt Murdock can hardly be his own lawyer and protect his identity.
Plus DMan has the better case.
Samuel Lewis
that's even more stupid
Lincoln Carter
How?
Cooper Perry
Not reading anything but her own book. Where u been?
Plus one character liking another character shown through their actions, isn't the same as having a character tell the readers how much you should like the character. The child is literally a stand in for the readers of a supposed fresh start to the book.
True.
