What's the logic here?
Did Peter play it out like he was going to ask her to marry him? He would have had to go all the way to the opening of the box, but evidently she hadn't seen the tracer so it didn't reach that point. Did he break character, or did he just not pretend anything and she just thought it was what was happening? Either way, why did she get pissed, and what happened to let her know that it wasn't in fact what she thought?

Slott showed us this way back when Spidey revealed himself to the FF way back during Brand New Day, but basically every other writer ignored him, except for Spencer who actually bothered reading every issue of ASM
