The moment I saw that the dragon had those antennae/bunny ear looking bits, I knew it was Hilary and the bitch in the armor was that witch lady. The fact that no one who has been reading the comic since the start of the arc picked up on this "twist" just goes to show how fucking brainless Phil's reader-base is.

I mean, the witch didn't even bat an eye at Art, Kat or Pip, the Dragon explicitly goes after Kat first, the Dragon reacts negatively to Pip's comments regarding Hilary and the Dragon, and there's the biggest fucking hint of all:

THE WITCH BITCH LIKED ART'S FIRST DRAFT. She still had suggestions for improving it, but the fact that she loved Art's initial draft, compared to his usual clientele, like Hilary for example, was a big fucking tell that this was not in fact Hilary we were dealing with.

I'm not bitching about his writing you dunce, I'm bitching about his readerbase being dumb. Like... when the signs are so obvious, the writer is usually counting on his readers to be in on a joke that the characters aren't privy to.

I haven't read this comic in years, what the fuck is going on?

A while back, Pip bought a creepy wardrobe from ebay and scarlet wandered into it for a 'chronicles of narnia' parody arc. She meets a big naked lion guy, helps him save the kingdom and in return, he agrees to clean her lab.

3 years later he's still down there cleaning because Scarlet and the other squits are purposefully prolonging the job because they like him. Art talks sense into them, they find the wardrobe was sold to Hilary, the squits break into her home, enter the wardrobe and find the kingdom in another mess with an armored woman riding a dragon, who they thought was Hilary.

There was none? It's always been a slice-of-life with 4 characters sharing a house and bizarre shit happening to them now and then.

... So, you guys think someone will get him to draw another Fate series character without him knowing what it is, or will he end up doing his research beforehand next time someone asks/commissions him to draw a character from material he isn't familiar with?
