This thread is ironic, right?

Carmen Sandiego

The dead one.

>(((((Moses)))))
>likable
Yeah no, Ramses was based.

Obviously nobody will argue against that since it's a 100% consensus around here, but OP did say "feature"

Chihiro (2001)
Judy and Nick (Zoo, 2016)
Wall-E (2008)
The main Toy Story cast (TS2, 1999 and TS3, 2010)
Carl Fredricksen (Up, 2009)
Coco (2017)
The Incredibles (2004)
Ratatouille (2007)
Moana & Maui (2016)
Marlin (Nemo, 2003)
Sullivan & Mike (Monsters Inc 2001)
Big hero 6 (2014)
Shrek (2001)
Rapunzel & Eugene (2010)
Emmet (Lego Movie, 2014)
Ralph (2012)
Gru (2010)
Coraline (2009)
Elsa & Anna (2013)
Everyone (Kung Fu Panda, 2008 & KFP2, 2011)
JP & Sonoshee (Redline)
Emperor Kuzco (2000)
Mavis (2012)
Gwen and Peter (B) Parker (Spider Verse, 2018)
for example

Possibly, although there are people acting like Spiderverse and anything about it is the best shit since sliced bread

Name 17 more. Yah I still didnt think so

Judy was a racist bitch and Nick was a cuck.
Wall-E was trash robot.
Toy Story cast was too wooden.
The Incredibles were a Simpsons knock-off.
Ratatouille had no likable characters at all, same for Moaner and BH6.
Shrek, Gru and the KFP cast were a memeing faggots. Kuzco was a cunt. Rapunzel and Eugene are degenerate footfags. Coraline was too old. Mavis is a terrible mother.
And last of all the Frozen sisters are the second worst female Disney characters since Snow White as presented at the Oscars, with only Vanellopretard taking first place in worst Disney character in history.
The others are ok but Miles is cooler and he's also black.

>Elsa & Anna

Breh...

Tarzan from that movie with the Phil Collins soundtrack.

>Judy was a racist bitch
Implying this is a bad thing

>Nick was a cuck
t. triggered prey

"Would commish Shadman porn of" isn't really a valid criterion to determine a good character.

Fuck off.

Wall-E

>Toy Story cast was too wooden
Fuck off, Carlos.

He's ok I guess, not really much of a defined character to be honest.

Wall-e

>Gwen
She wasn't awful but she was by far the least interesting, not as just the main 3 but in comparison to all the Spider-Men as a whole.

> Yea Forums loves Miles now
Hypocrites

It's almost like the movie was written by different people from the comics and actually made the character not shit.

>No Hiccup
The fucks wrong with you?

Hogarth

Also miles sucked a fat chode, just like you OP

>Judy and Nick (Zoo, 2016)
>Wall-E (2008)
>Moana & Maui (2016)
>Peter (B) Parker (Spider Verse, 2018)
Only these are arguably correct.

I don't like HTTYD

But does that change the fact that he’s just a pandering tool meant to usurp a title that he only “earned” by virtue of his skin color?

I kind of still have trouble understanding his deal at the beginning of the movie. Was it that he felt honestly embarrassed about becoming a preppy kid and losing street cred and WANTED to be a doomed inner-city kid as he suggested in his graffiti? Or was he rationalizing his feeling of inadequacy after arriving at a place in which he wasn't perceived as talented and remarkable by rebelling and pretending it was not for him? Or a mixture of the two?

It's pretty weird she get bunched together with Peter and Miles as "the main 3" since she had no real character arc, or at least not as well defined as the other 2. She's just the capable and strong character template that's fucking everywhere now

Attached: tingling.gif (480x283, 1.98M)

You'll be in my heart

As long as they're a well written character with depth, I sincerely don't give a fuck.

I thought the entire point was they they were trying to make him incredibly unlikeable, was I wrong?
>Trying to get kicked out of school so he can go be a junkie graffiti "artist"

He was meant to be a dumb kid going through a phase but not really unlikable.

Pretty much the majority. Miles is plot device of his own movie. Stealth and electric powers don't help either.

Nah, you just dislike black people. He's frustrating with his insecurities but relatable enough at the same time

Hiccup is a cunt after the first movie

Kids don't like major changes like that.

Question for the comic buffs, does he do some sort of taser-type attack combining the webbing and shocking abilities at some point? I totally called he would do that in the climax but it never happened

Judy likes to fuck her predator bf and partner in crime though

He wasn’t really written with much depth, his arc went from trying to fit in to trying to fit in. He in no way had to define himself as a character just as a hero for a punch em up. And besides a big part of depth is consistency and miles has never had that whole is changes based on the medium he’s in where Pete is consistent throughout his appearances with the only major alterations being what age he is in the project (except for RIpeter where he is just Batman, not as a point for that character but so miles can get access to all of the spider equipment without working for it)

I do because miles gives bendis money.

I can't remember properly. I think there was one brief moment with such attack somewhere before the climax.

>his arc went from trying to fit in to trying to fit in
Nope

>Literal fire is raining down
>"Lol no, I ain't freeing my slaves"
He brought this upon himself

His arc was from being a self loathing teenager who didn't fit in and wasting his talents and privilege to finding a place where he does fit in and using his skills and privilege responsibly.

I want Miles to fail. He's everything bad about mantle heroes and every appearance gives Bendis money.

Fuck off with this shit. Let him fail.

>Current year
>Reading comics
Miles is shit in the comics because all Big Two comics are shit. I couldn't care less about him in that.

Spider-verse was a good movie. Miles was a good protag in said movie. That's all I care about.

>bowing to fucking Jew terrorism because they claim God did it
Nope.

>Miles was a good protag in said movie
But he wasn't. He was as he's always been: a cut out race swap of Peter who gets praise heaped on him for merely existing.

He's shit. Deal with it.

I, too, dislike black and/or bald people

20 is too much. hell the guy from how to train your dragon was better. does not mean I did not like the spider verse
it was a matter of principle

>a cut out race swap of Peter who gets praise heaped on him for merely existing.
Wow, it's almost like the entire point of the film is that Spider-Man is meant to represent coming-of-age and the responsibilities that come with it and they're all essentially "just Peter".

You literal autist.

youtube.com/watch?v=De3av1LFn9s

Wow it's almost like THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING POINT OF SPIDERMAN.

Spiderman isn't some fucking beacon like Superman or Captain America. He's supposed to be a human, fleshed out character. You can't just abstract him and be all "LOL WE'RE ALL PETER".

A challenger appears

Attached: 268x0w.jpg (268x402, 27K)

Pretty much this.

Why not? The movie just did that and it was a great movie.

Because that's never been what people like about Spiderman. They like his flaws, his struggles, his friends, his enemies.

You're missing the point, and so did the movie.

Tiana from The princess and the frog.
There, hardworker, likeable and black.
You happy now?

First of all the movie still very much focused about the struggles of being Spiderman and the responsibilities behind it. Secondly, there is like a hundred god damn Spiderman movies. Changing things up is necessary unless you want people to get tired of him.

Spiderman being eternally cucked is partially the reason why nobody gives a shit about comics anymore.

>Changing things up is necessary unless you want people to get tired of him.
But you aren't changing it up in an organic and meaningful way. 80/90's spiderman was a change up because he was getting older, getting married, had a family and all that. And people liked it, because it came about as a natural part of his life.

People don't like you just randomly changing shit "just because it's old lol" because it's a fucking stupid and reductive way to tell a story. And making Spiderman into a mantle is a terrible way to change it.

Should have said ten years bitch

Attached: iron-giant.jpg (780x440, 22K)

If this was part an ongoing series i'd agree. Illusion of change is a big problem comics suffer from.

But I'm not talking about the comics. I'm not talking about a tv show. I'm talking about a standalone film that sets out to make it's own universe, it's own plot and it's own themes.

You're projecting your anger of the comics going to shit to a movie that seeks to take mild inspiration of said source material but ultimately achieving something totally different.

This is the equivalent of calling Kubrick's The Shining a shit movie because it wasn't the movie Steven King wanted.

Yeah, but Stanley Kubrick gave us a good thing. Spider-verse isn't good because it focuses too much on Miles, and Miles is and always has been utter shit.

Don’t you get it it’s racists to expect meaningful and organic development of black characters.

Wasting his talents? The only talent we saw was graffiti and we never saw him with any other interest in art beyond that. We know he was smart because people kept saying he was and never saw it for ourselves. The movie wasn’t bad but like everything with miles in it, including his own comics, Miles was the least interesting aspect of spider-man

>Peter Parker from the same fucking movie.
That was easy. Only goes to show that even when Miles is on his top, he still can't reach the greatness of Peter.

Attached: 10-spider-verse-peter-parker-2.w1200.h630.jpg (1017x534, 116K)

I don't know what to tell you man. It's pretty obvious you're displacing your frustrations over the quality of one medium to another on written and made by completely different people.

Newsfalsh user: Miles is a fictional character. He can change and be good or bad depending on who writes him. Was he the greatest thing since sliced bread? Not really, like everyone said already Peter B. was the true shining star of the film. But for a coming of age story, I think he was really good. The best parts of the film was him and Peter B. interacting.

They could have at least explained why she wears fucking ballet flats

This one.

Attached: spider_6.jpg (271x369, 32K)

Making Miles good requires a complete makeover, his very origins should be different. All that distinguishes comic Miles from movie Miles is a couple of personal hobbies that barely affect the plot at all

Batman in LEGO Batman.

>who gets praise heaped on him for merely existing.
That literally didn't happen in the movie. If anything, I thought the Spider group was pretty fucking tough on him right off the bat. We didn't even get any training montages with Noir teaching him how to fight, or Pig showing him how to improv during combat, they just immediately shit on him for not having his powers long enough.

And then by the end he becomes the ultimate Spider-guy of all Spider-people despite that clear divide in experience and training

But that's not true you absolute autist.

Not really, he just helps them get home, and fights Kingpin after he gets shook as fuck after driving away every version of his family in the known multiverse. The only Spider person that gets shit on in the final battle was Penni, I thought.

>Faggots try to justify Rames shit decisions
>”God hardened his heart!” Forgetting that he ALLOWED his heart to be hardened
>At any point, he could have cut his losses and spared his people and himself a lot of pain
Stay salty faggots, Yahweh doesn’t fuck around.

The problem is what has he added to any of this? All of the villains were peters all of the supporting cast were peters hell even the love interest was. So at the end of the day we’re given a decent movie that’ll be forgotten next year at the cost of the integrity of a 50 year old franchise, until someone actually tries to write miles organically into peters life there’s never going to be an acceptance of him in the fan base. But it doesn’t matter I suppose anyone who liked this stuff before it was “cool” aren’t wanted as a fan base

>But he wasn't. He was as he's always been: a cut out race swap of Peter who gets praise heaped on him for merely existing.
yep

Nig was named El back then

>Integrity of a 50 year old franchise
Clone Saga happened in the 90's and One More Day happened in the mid2000's.

What integrity?

I will say that peter is on par with most of those
But nobody gives a shit about Coco or Big Hero 6 in the US

Minions.

Garfield.

Well, some of them, two of the villains are miles villians.

Scorpion and Aaron davis.

The marketable integrity
Clark Kent is Superman
Bruce Wayne is Batman
Tony stark is iron man
There are to many spider-people and that in itself harms the point of Peter. It was true 20 years ago and it’s true today, but at least 20 years ago they tried to find a way to get peter out without killing him

>Was it that he felt honestly embarrassed about becoming a preppy kid and losing street cred and WANTED to be a doomed inner-city kid as he suggested in his graffiti?

Yes.

Black people don't like succeeding and would rather waste away in the ghetto while trying desperately to launch a rap career instead of picking up a highly profitable trade skill.

Also he left all his friends behind at the previous school so that's probably part of it too.

Scorpion and prowler are miles villains? It’s cute you think that

Attached: fantastic-mr-fox-1200-1200-675-675-crop-000000.jpg (1200x675, 100K)

Aaron Davis isn't hobbies brown

Mexican scorpion didn't came from peter.

Attached: Ultimate_Comics_Spider-Man_Vol_2_8_Textless.jpg (626x950, 182K)

>The marketable integrity
>Caring more about the image then the individual work itself
That's retarded and something tumblr would argue about.

Wirt, Beatrice and Greg

Attached: OTGW.jpg (600x1009, 101K)

Mexican scorpion didn’t get a full arc and if memory serves the nigga didn’t have 6 legs and a tail. But he’s also just an alternate scorpion admittedly he’s more unique to the original than prowler but still

So you're saying Spider-verse is the new OMD? Yeah, i can agree with that actually

But he still a miles villian, he might have the same name but he still came from miles.

Same thing with Aaron davis.

I dunno, I related to her a lot as a kid.

Attached: 13925661127.jpg (500x496, 57K)

more the second, he just wanted to stand out and feel at home.

go away /pol/ shill

>Forgetting that he ALLOWED his heart to be hardened
Since when are you allowed to simply outwill an allegedly omnipotent God? Moreover, Yahweh had to harden his heart seven fucking times. That doesn't sound like a very hard heart.

In this day and age where every major release is just another addition to an over arching franchise it’s pretty valid. What the individual film has to add to the whole is just as valid as what it has to say on its own. And what it has to say on its own is fine I suppose but it’s not as unique as everyone likes to think it is, but what it has to say in the face of the franchise itself is what I’d deem as nefarious just get rid of what worked about the character for flashy visuals and boring brown characters

And this is why children should learn about the differents between facts and opinions.

When was the last time he appeared in the comics? He was erased in the merger so he doesn’t exist anymore like the actual point of miles

It's raining...

which dead one

I just saw this movie. Yea Forums told me this film was "alright". That's the last time I listen to Yea Forums. This movie was a masterpiece. It is easily the best Spider-Man film. It is also a candidate for best super hero film of all time. It's a shame it only grossed 400 million on a budget of 100 million; whereas, a shitty arse movie like Venom grossed 800 million. I wonder if racism or hatred of animated movies is why it grossed so little despite having perfect reviews and winning almost every award it was nominated for.

The movie was alright but it won every award more so due to terrible competition this year than its quality. You can call it a masterpiece but that word, like so many other words of praise, has lost all meaning in this day and age. Though you’re right it did get a lot of undue hate, because of everything Miles means to the franchise, but it also got plenty of undue praise so it balances

>Yea Forums told me this film was "alright".
Yea Forums has been sucking this movie's dick and calling it a masterpiece since it came out. Yea Forums was begging for this to win the Oscar over Disney

>Toy Story cast was too wooden.
They were plastic

GodDAMMIT I HATE this GodDAMN NIGGER. Stop posting his turd face all the time, you cυcks. I swear to Christ, this board is filled with images of his jigaboo face. Jesus, stop shilling this shit. At the very least just use someone else as the header for God’s sake. Whenever I see his bigger face I want to puke. It’s like a turd with an eggplant for a nose, spit mixed with the shot for eyes and burnt tire for lips.

Attached: 63D193C6-3383-4BD0-BE66-223249C59642.jpg (1080x574, 406K)

It's either one or several pathetic niggers posting about him for wish fulfillment.

You can tell it's them if they call you "cletus"

The boy himself was surprisingly ok, and this is coming from polack, but his story was as boring as possible. I wish it was more centered on that black-and-white spiderman. He was based.

What’s the wish fulfillment though? The nigga is bland as shit

>nigger replaces blond haired blue eyed superhero
>but he also has extra powers
>he's the best spiderman ever
>he fucks the cute white girl while being 'street' because of graffiti

I assume bendis is masturbating furiously after you typed that

Still the best Spider-Man voice.

Kek. They even called him the best Spider-Man at the end of the movie didn't they?

Gwen > Miles
Prove me wrong
YOU JUST CANT

I think making Peter aryan in Milesverse was the extra layer on the cake.

Gwen > Peter > Blonde Peter > Noir > Penny > Shit > Everyone else*
fixed

When this shithole unironically agrees that something is actually good, it's probably worth taking a look at

Since Christianity

Human skin color is not bl*ck! NOT BL*CK!

Yeah, not sure if ironic or not, so just in case - fuck off, /pol/.

He does it against peter in Spider-Men in one of the worst parts of the book. He uses it to instantly win a fight against him because bendis is a shitty writer

He’s a Miles villain the same way that “Guardian” is a CW Supergirl secondary character... Technically original but also one of the furthest things for being original, nor is it solely miles’

Fuck, same here. I was definitely the type of weird kid to bite or spit/lick my family members when they overpowered me and tried to get me to behave. Grossed them out and I got to run away to my room. Same exact shit she did with Nani.

Can't we go back to artistis inserting better fetishes in their comics?
Hell,i'll take inflation over muh black excellance and cuckholding. Give me the blue bear

Yes. Peter was kicking his ass because Miles was being an autist and he used the “Venom sting” for a one-Hit KO.

Miles is so fucking trash. None of what he did in the comics was earned when it comes to fights.

Attached: Robin.jpg (768x1024, 59K)

>Big Hero Shit
stopped reading

I wouldn’t mind it if it wasn’t so pathetically seen as “woke” and they weren’t so smug about it / black people didn’t latch on so sadly to it as meaning to be anything but being divisive. Fuck Dwayne McDuffie called him out on it years ago but no one listened

imagine being this much of a brainlet. imagine being a milesfag.

It has to be bait Jesus imagine thinking every white family is just the simpsons

>mods are deleting all posts that insult their nigger self-insert
Christ, you are really pathetic.

You know which one, you slut.

"acting white" is a thing with the black community. Like speaking in proper English and getting an education.
I wish I were joking.

No but at the end he did call himself the one and only spider-man which seems a bit funny considering the previous one died barely two days before that

god, i wish theres a plot where miles gets hit with some beam or chemical that keeps him as a kid forever.

i dont want him to go down the path of adult miles in the comics

Miles is fine, but he's not even the most likable character in Enter the Spider-verse.

Peni > Peter B Parker > Noir > Miles > Gwen > Blonde Peter > Spider Pig
(villains and non-spider side characters not included).

Attached: 1545884406675.jpg (691x843, 80K)

>WANTED to be a doomed inner-city kid
not exactly, but there is a huge amount of peer shaming for "acting white" when a black kid tries to study, dress preppy, or speak proper English.

Again, only thing that is similar is the names.

They are not Peter villians, that is like saying venom 2099 is a enemy to Peter.

You realize out of the two you listed (who are the only two that are there) the more unique take is the one that was abandoned. Aaron is just a lawful evil Hobi, that we only have “sympathy” for due to his connection to miles

Diction is the white mans burden

>The movie was alright
>alright
That word fails to describe how great the movie was. It's not quite a masterpiece either. The only thing they could have done to improve the movie in my opinion is make the villains more compelling. We've already seen better versions of Kingpin than this. Almost all Marvel films have had shitty villains, so nothing new here.

Also, another valid critique is the frame rate of the movie. They did a low frame rate on purpose to create an artistic effect, but many believe it would have been just as good with a higher frame rate. The pig character was fine with me, but I could see a few people arguing it would have been better without him.

>another valid critique is the frame rate of the movie
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed

I guess he’s okay for a newbie

Years at amazing what can happen when a character isn’t written by Bendis

That little asian girl was weak as fuck. She got beat by Mexican scorpion

Miles was a faggot that craved attention

No opinions of your own? You need some faggot on the internet to make an essay for you? Fucking faggot

It was done on purpose to create a comic book motion effect. You can lower frame rate on purpose to create certain effects. Someone went into details about this. They more or less invented a new way of telling comic books with this movie.

>this character enjoyable cause they're the strongest
I bet you watch shitty fighting anime

Attached: ruthless.png (1920x784, 1.21M)

they didn't even have time to make the main character compelling we're lucky we got what we got with Kingpin. The movie wouldve been better if they dropped the multiverse bullshit and make a streamlined narrative about an older pete worrying about settling down and a Miles who comes along with looking for a purpose. But no they couldn't do Miles without killing peter yet a spider-man movie wouldn't work without a peter so we got the mishmash of marketing and toy production we got

The low frame rate is how they were able to create a claymation effect.

Miles is an improvement over the comic book version. He actually has a personality.

Then he isn't hobbie brown if he is evil. Hobbie brown wasn't a chill uncle with a dark side.

Just watched this movie.
Its an OK movie with superb animation
Wish theres more hobo peter parker and gwen though.

Attached: 1536218163336.gif (300x291, 372K)

>Its an OK movie
Do people really think this movie is just "okay" or are they trying to fit in with the elitist on Yea Forums.

/thread

Why is he following the orders of a psychopath?

No, is good but not the best shit ever, stop trying to overrate it.

I cant say more than OK (7/10) because the mid to laters part is predictable and has been done like, 2000 times already.

Attached: 1489700152506.jpg (239x222, 15K)

Which Miles personality was better thePS4 game version or the spider-verse version? Cause it seems that sony heavily hedged their bets in terms of understanding that none of y'all niggas would care about consistency as long as there was a black man front and center

We don't know enough about Hobbie to know if he has nieces or nephews and we don't know enough about Aaron to know if he was a person beyond his job or relationship to his nephew so it evens out.

Maybe they saw it on a cam rip.

I just feel like it is relatively good compared to other spider-man films. No super hero movie will ever be a master piece because super heroes is dumb to begin with.

I'm a casual spider-man fan. Can someone explain to me how the granny Dr Oct is able to withstand multiple blows from various spider persons? Isn't her chin just as vulnerable as any other human? Spider-man punched a car and sent it flying several feet in this movie. One punch from him should be enough to KO an elephant. Also, how is Kingpin so strong? I get that he's one of the strongest and most talented fighters in the human race, but Spider-man has super powers that a normal human could never match.

I waited till we got the 1080p rip, it was fine it doesn't change my mind about Miles and the movie was just a bunch of references put in a pleasing order, but they hired the two guys (lord and Miller) whose bread and butter is eliciting emotional responses with references so it worked still about 8/10

Kingpin is rhino brother and spiderman always hold back his punches.

Any boxer or MMA fighter could KO an old lady with one punch. Even if spider-man held back on his punches it still should put her to sleep. If he could punch her once and put her to sleep it would be less brain trauma than punching her various times. Dr Oct probably got punched and kicked a total of like 20 times in this movie. One punch at 10% of Spider's power could have KO'd her and prevented further damage.

The Jews had a bit of a problem with constantly apostatizing and getting Israel overrun with gentiles as a consequence. It's not exactly shocking that some of those pantheons they worshipped would include their neighbor's high god, or that they would use that name interchangeably in general

one of the initial explinations as to why doc ock can go toe to toe with spidery is his accident which linked his arms to his brain fucked with his nervous system to make him harder to knock out, I know its kinda a lame explanation but as someone who wasn't to impressed with the movie "a villain can carry on a whole fight scene" is pretty weak in terms of bait

Spiderman is so much stronger than a normal human that his punches should be crushing bones. One punch should have dislocated granny Dr Oct's jaw. Also, that doesn't explain how kingpin or prowler was able to withstand so much punches. Unless prowler's armor is thick like Iron Man's, it shouldn't be able to protect him from a punch that can send a car flying.

Bad writting, that's why he can't simply K.O 99% of his villains with one single hit.

It's a cartoon, user. This is like asking why stormtroopers can't aim.

>Since when are you allowed to simply outwill an allegedly omnipotent God?
Adam and Eve?

I don't think its that deep. At his old school he had his friends and could live with his family. At his new school he's gone two weeks and hasn't made any friends yet. Aside from Gwen he didn't interact with anyone from his school, implying he hasn't had any social success. At that age being friendless sucks.

I think you can prevent any questions like this just by making stronger villains. In the Avengers movies the villains are all strong, so questions like this never came to my mind. Spiderman has some of the weakest villains now that I think about it.

I still think it's bad writing. If Superman punches Lex Luthor I'm pretty sure Lex should be KO'd. By having guys like Kingpin be able to withstand the blows of a Spiderman it is an insult to our intelligence.

Spiderman is litterally holding back constantly

>The music is nigger trash rap
So much wrong with this flick

It does better the chemistry of hobo peter and miles, which is ridiculous

Superman even holds back user, most heroes hold back their strength it's common knowledge.

You missed the point of the comment, a Wrestler can easily beat a kid with one hit without killing it.

nice black fragility

Jesus, you have never read a single spider-man issue have you fag? They hold back

>forced as fuck Miles x Gwen
They just shook hands how ia this forced? Noir is the only one who said I love you in the entire movie
>>Hobo Peter can't face aunt May
It was pretty akward for him and her considering both parties are supposed to be dead in thier respective universe
>>But absolutely no moment between Gwen and Peter
This is something that could've happened
>>Miles wants to be a low life street nigga
He misses his friends like any kid would if they were forced to move far away.
>>The music is nigger trash rap
The music was some of the best parts of the movie especially the ending theme.

All the white ones.

Sure but a wrestler would gauge his strength and not go all out against an opponent. Spider-Man holds back by a fuck ton for a reason

I didn't know they hold back, but now it makes sense. But if you're that much stronger than your opponents you should be able to KO them very quickly. Take for instance me. I'm much stronger than my grandma who is Dr Oct's age. If my grandma was close to wiping out New York city I wouldn't keep punching her at 20% while I tried to save the city. I would give her one good punch to put her to sleep, then I would handle business while she was unconscious.

I agree that the music is trash and the story is decent

The Story is Lego movie all over again.

Not when this exists

The thing about that is you can't just guess how much Strength will it take to TKO somone in one hit he could risk doing enough damage to kill them. You can't use the same strength on Kingpin, who is 900lbs of pure muscle and then use that strength on a petty thug like Shocker. To make a fightgo by faster he uses his webbing anyway.

Is not hard to guess the ammount of strenght to knock down someone, also realistically webbing is extremely dangerous, it will likely break bones and a neck if the victim move in a wrong way no matter how you do it.

When it comes to Spidey villains it is, Even Doc Oc had a hard time and eventually killed one of his villians

I've been watching boxing for 2 decades and MMA for 8 decades. You can't exercise your chin and become resistant to KOs. If that was the case then boxers who have a reputation of having a glass jaw would just train their muscles and not have to worry about being KO'd. Kingpin's size and muscles could make him more confident during a fight and allow him to avoid being touched on the button, but his body won't make him more resistant to a direct hit. A KO has more to do with the rapid shaking of the human brain. A 145lb male has enough muscle mass to KO a 250lb heavyweight if the right punch is landed. Lastly, there's an art to KOing people. One boxer named Deontay Wilder has a 95% KO ratio or something huge like that. He can consistently drop his opponents by applying a certain force to their chins. Spiderman could easily do the same. Not to mention he has other options like BJJ. Holy fuck my mind just got blown. What if Spiderman started choking out his opponents.

He doesn't need his fists at all. He can just jizz his neigh-indestructible webs all over people and immobilize them.

Any UFC fans in here? Imagine if Spiderman learned Brazilian Jujitsu and started taking the backs of his opponents. He could have choked out Kingpin instead of boxing with him. And if we consider Spiderman's squeeze, he would be able to put his opponents out within seconds.

Wall-E

So why didn't Spiderverse gross more? It has mostly positive reviews and has won dozens of awards. Do people hate animated movies this much. I don't think race had anything to do with it since Black Panther showed that black superhero movies can sell with whites.

It didn't really bring anything new to make the public interested, sure the animation style was pretty fresh but the premise couldn't be more generic.

Venom grossed 800 million. Venom is a turd compared to Spider-Verse and it recieved bad reviews by critics and fans. Homecoming also grossed 800 million. Homecoming is alright but it relied heavily on the Avenger's star power.

The best 3 Spider-Man films are:
1. Into the Spider-Verse
2. Spider-Man 2
3. Homecoming

>Spiderverse better than Spider-Man 2
I disagree, Spider 2 is possibly the best Superhero movie ever and one of the four most important Superhero movies in history with Donner Superman,Iron Man 1 and TDK

I haven't seen Spider-Man 2 in a while. Maybe I'm a slave to the moment and will rank Spider-Verse below Spider-Man 2. That 3rd movie sullied Spider-Man 2 for me. A sequel can negatively impact the way we feel about a movie. For instance, I liked The Force Awakens but I hate it now after seeing The Last Jedi.

Those are live action films, though.

Do you think being strong and muscular makes your brain less vulnerable when hit?

>Kingpin killed spiderman and best uncle and Miles just hangs him between buildings as a joke, haha yo
>Aunt May is pretty chill about Peter being dead.
>Mary Jane just goes around to parties organized by known villain
that was kinda questionable

I can relate to the second one, so I took that as his reason

From what I've seen a lot of people thought it was a direct to home video movie. I knew some people that were leery about the animation style. Most of all though I think there has been a lot of burnout on Spidey, Homecoming was able to gross more because of MCU tie-ins and being live action.

That said I think its incorrect to mope that the film was a failure. I think people are hung up on total blockbuster numbers while Spiderverse is a comfortably moderate success. It has strengthened faith in Sony's brand (their animation department at least) and got them an Oscar, they were evidently pleased enough with how it did they rereleased it in theaters after the Oscar win.

When I started watching I felt really disappointed by the choppy animation. I got used to it eventually (or it got smoother?) but I was considered turning off the player (good thing they put Gwen in early on).

I understand the artistic decision behind it but I think it was a poor choice, if I was an exec I would have put my foot down on this and insisted on less chromatic aberration. Stuff like that can give people headaches or eye strain and on a basic level a film should be visuallyt accessible.

And the film's frame rate isn't consistent. It DOES get smoother at parts.

Reminder you're a faker if you don't actually do your ethnostate duty and kill 3 nigs every day with your trusty shotgun.

Yeah, mile should just put a lot of evidence on him, just to make sure that kingpin go to jail and get the chair.

Also, miles isn't a murderer like peter.

>Do you think being strong and muscular makes your brain less vulnerable when hit?
It doesn't. But what I meant by they should make stronger villains is they should give the villains super powers, so that we're not here talking about Spider-Man holding back on his punches.

>Also, miles isn't a murderer like peter.
In the Death Note anime the protagonist has the ability to kill anyone just by writing their name in a book. He makes it clear to everyone in the world that you will be killed if you commit a crime. The global crime rate drops significantly as a consequence. If western superheros started killing villains they would save more lives in the long run. Kingpin and Lex Luthor have a monopoly on every judge, politician, and news outlet. Any trial they go through will be a farce. I think the Comic Code Authority (CCA) which defines a bunch of rules on how Superheros should behave is what made western comics so wholesome and simplistic. CCA was probably created as propaganda against communism and nazism. Eastern comics (or manga) didn't have any standards so they had better plots.

I liked Peter B. Parker and Spider-Gwen better than Miles but I still liked Miles. Into the Spiderverse shit all over the MCU.

It was bold of Dreamworks to make a kid's movie from the villain's perspective.

>It's pretty weird she get bunched together with Peter and Miles as "the main 3" since she had no real character arc, or at least not as well defined as the other 2. She's just the capable and strong character template that's fucking everywhere now
Well she clearly got more characterization and attention than Peni, Noir, or Spider-Ham even if she was well behind the other two so it's a weird place. I'd like to see more of her.

How about Normanfrom paranorman? He was a pretty great character

>I just saw this movie. Yea Forums told me this film was "alright". That's the last time I listen to Yea Forums
You should never listen to Yea Forums. Yea Forums unironically has better Yea Forums related opinions than Yea Forums.

I love ParaNorman.

>
>He's supposed to be a human, fleshed out character.
>Because that's never been what people like about Spiderman. They like his flaws, his struggles, his friends, his enemies.

Oh wow, it's like almost sounds like every top tier hero/villain/anti hero in marvel. Yeah even recent dc is getting on this.

N

>it's anime therefore it's real

You and people like you are such brainlets.
Spider-man is a beacon precisely because unlike overmen like Captain America and Superman he's inspirational as a relateable if talented everyman.
The inspirational vs relateable schism is fucking moronic and always has been.

So spider-mans design powers and villains are what made him a world wide star Peter is what made him an icon you brainlet.

I don't know what you mean by icon and I don't care. You're just huffing glue at this point.

If you think that Peter Parker is or has ever been a unique person, your only knowledge of people comes from comics.

Than what the fuck is miles then? The only thing “unique” about him is how all of you seem to like the issues he causes with Peter. He’s a bland mother ducker whose character is nonexistent

Kingpin was a literal wall in this universe, I'd be surprised if Mr. Fantastic could wrap around his fatass.

>grappling
>with this

I don't see it happening, my dude.

Attached: eijvlsf04x721.jpg (614x343, 15K)

To be fair pete should’ve been able to get around him to choke him out no other move would work though

He's not unique either.
Nobody human is unique, faggot. Welcome to Yea Forums.

niggi

These arguements always go the same way from “Miles is good he always had potential” to “Peters shit and needs to be replaced” though this is probably a new low. Look fag I get that you’ve been on the edge your whole life, the normies keep getting you down and your mom won’t get off your back about doing your homework. But the very concept of human life itself is unique sure the advent of the internet has really shown us how petty samey and really how shitty we all are. but if you look around go out side have a conversation with a stranger you’ll find more people than you think who are genuinely good or interesting people, sure there are two genders and may 20 personality types but those in tandem with the social aspect of growing really allow us to blossom as individuals. As I type this I see the problem with the internet fully, it’s taken the isolated part out of being isolated and allowed these sad smarmy fucks to dominate discussions because the fact is you’ll just beat everyone down with your shitty disposition and bitch about why everything is shitty because that’s all you’ll ever be.

TLDR go tell your mom you love her she deserves something for putting up with your bitch ass

I wonder if arabs in the modern Egypt watch it and are like "This is our ancestor. Based."

>Ratatouille

That's not the character's name

Actually this argument always runs around in circles of people like you writing off a new character as a lost cause because of autism, strawmanning people who can appreciate a new artistic take on a character because of autism, and missing the point of the argument because of autism. You literally cannot fathom a reality where a fictional character is meant to represent the everyman, choosing instead worship him as a special snowflake and going into tantrums whenever it's implied otherwise, or even the possibility that there is no such thing as personal uniqueness and people have to find strength without it.

TLDR go tell your mom you acknowledge she only loves you because of an obligation and those millions of potential children that could've been born instead of you deserve it more.

Attached: 1546142071276.jpg (1400x700, 108K)

this

Miles was easily the worst part of this movie.

Miles isn’t a new character, he’s 9 years old and as of this point he still has no origin story to connect him to his universe, ultimate prowler is still his only villain and he still has no character defining moments. Whatever petty attacks you throw my way don’t change these facts and your enjoyment of Miles lies solely in these arguements. And yes Pete is supposed to represent an Everyman but he’s still fucking spider-man and your mewling won’t change that

Oh, user. You could've just said you haven't seen Into the Spider-Verse.

Is that all you want? Pale imitations of characters? Black characters who don’t have to establish themselves of their own legacy since you only find them important when they use a white characters name?

you only like him because he's a nigger

What I want is good fiction. Into the Spider-Verse was good. All you've got going for yourself is a Peter Parker that's been shat on so bad by two shitheads high on "iconicism", Nick Spencer will be spending another 3 years slowly building him back up again. Who exactly is the pale imitation here?

Both bendis and slot spent almost 20 collective years shitting on peter and Miles is the result of half of that, into the spider verse was fine but where it came from and what it could lead to is what troubles me about it. Miles as I’ve said a million times still has no singular identity and the “Everyman” Schtick is supposed to be a descriptor if the personality not the personality within itself. I would’ve preferred the movie if they simply stream lined it with an older peter unwilling or afraid to settle and a running into a newly powered miles who is trying to define himself in the world. What we got was a result of years of focus testing and the implementation of 10 years of ideas, which came out great admittedly but unfocused

You serious op?... I don't even need 20 years.. Hiro Hamada. Boom!.

>CCA was probably created as propaganda against communism
The CCA was literally the same as Soviet censorship rules for children's literature.

Oh, we're bringing out the old "years of focus testing" chestnut again, along with "I'm scared of the future" and "Miles has no identity".
It's funny how you think that when refuted on one baseless claim you try to justify your Asperger's by making three more.

Why are there ultralisks in Warcraft?

Spider-verse was 7/10 movie
Miles was great and so was 616 Peter.
Gwen felt like she was there just to be friend/loveintrest for Miles.
Rest of the spiders had very few moments for themselves.
Fisk was shit and so was Prowler.
Story was OK.
Art direction and animation were amazing.
Music was good.
And I'm not even touching things like Miles being sad for his uncle who was ready to kill a kid, but halted himself just because it was Miles or that time when nobody other than Gwen saw a black kid walking on the wall of the building with pigeons on hands on the bright day BUT everyone was able to see a kid in black suit jumping of the 60 store building at night.
If that was "The Best Superhero Movie of the decade" then I'm happy that I don't watch superheroes movies.

I like god but hate Moses for helping the jews

>Prowler
>shit

Attached: 3a7.jpg (680x680, 81K)

Obviously it wasn't god who helped the jews, user.

>can’t think a movie is just okay
Jesus
The movie isn’t the great thing since sliced bread

first of all you don't even know how to use that image.
then about prowler. this guy who is all cool with his nephew, right? has a cop brother, right? lives in a flat, right? nothing makes fucking sense.
he is cool with his miles but is ready to kill a kid on command.
falling out with your brother doesn't make you go supervillain with claws and cape working for kingpin.
while working for kingpin as a supervillain he is just living in a flat maintaining contact with his family just like that, no problem.
movie doesn't give you any clear answers for his motivations and you can't really deduct any for yourself.
therefore: shit character

It's New York City, supervillain is a common occupation that doesn't need "motivation". He does it for a living, like any number of other Spidey villains.

...

and most of spidey villains are shit characters with no real backstory like chameleon, rhino or GASP prowler. at the least chameleon or rhino played to the totemic enemies rythm in comic but prowlers both 616 and 1610 were shit characters, villains and in the ultimate and all-new universes, uncles.
why are we even having this conversation. next we will debate about morale state of stark

Robin Wright in the Congress

>why are we even having this conversation
I don't know, why the fuck are you still posting?
>and most of spidey villains are shit characters with no real backstory like chameleon, rhino or GASP prowler
Ah you're in the "15 page backstory" stage of character design. Give it a few years, that phase will pass.

>supervillain is a common occupation

Attached: 1549446215054.jpg (1024x1000, 190K)

based only other person who even knows The Congress exist, that movie is pure kino

Attached: congress 2013.jpg (1777x999, 246K)

>I don't know, why the fuck are you still posting?
what i meant was that you are stupid
>Ah you're in the "15 page backstory" stage of character design. Give it a few years, that phase will pass.
and here we go with projections and no real arguments
i'm done. but before i go two reminders:
prowler is shit and you are stupid

I'm scared of the future? I'm annoyed of the constant pushing of a character that no writer seems interested in addressing a fleshing out organically. Hell one of the last "character interactions" Miles had outside of his own comic had him attacking Venom for the death of his mother. his mother has been alive for years and writers always waffle on how much information of his previous life Miles retained. No one wants to tackle these issues that miles is bogged down in because suckas like you don't care about organic story telling. And you haven't refuted shit dude all you've done is attack me and then attack peter that's it, these "new claims" aren't new at all and have been a major problem for Miles characterization since secret wars. Into the spider-verse is proof that Miles can't and won't ever work on his own both figuratively and literally

I think it has some issues but it looks gorgeous and Robin is an engaging.
>kino
I don't approve of that word to mean "good" but ironically the Congress fits the proper definition of the term.
